City of Ryde SL029 - Recycling and Greens

- In this video we see City of Ryde truck SL029 collecting recycling and greens on a couple of Monday mornings in the suburb of ryde. Sita Australia is the contractor for Ryde City Council. I decided to make it a both greens and recycling video because it is better than making two small vids. Truck 029 is usually a dedicated recycling truck but on the greenwaste week it is known as the "floater" or spare truck with this driver operating. On the greenwaste week it can either be handling greens or garbage depending on how the day turns out with breakdowns etc. I captured the recycling footage two weeks in the holidays around 11:30am, in SL021 zone helping out to get the job done along with 024, as I came back home from following 023 for most of the day I realised that recycling was not done in my area so as i walked down the street I heard the rumble of three ryde recycling trucks at 11:30am (021,024,029) roaring down my street to get the streets done I decided to follow 029. I have a drive by vid of 024 to come soon.
I captured the green waste footage the following week in 021 zone again so i managed to gt a bit of 029 collecting greens, also included in the vid is two different clips of 029 collecting my sulo green bins. Plenty more footage of the ryde trucks to come featuring different trucks in the fleet and I have nearly got video of every ryde truck. Ah so #29 is that fifth truck which doesn't have a permanent run during greens week eh? I hate that situation at the start when you have to move another bin out of the way to get your own, unless you don't give a shit and make a mess =] Bugger he caught the wheel with the grab; you saved him there! Sweet intro work too; quick and detailed.
Yeah Mitch 029 is a dedicated recycling truck no greens run for this truck but it used to be 022 that was the truck with just the recycle run and no run on the greens week but they changed since the old driver of this truck left, so 022 was given the greens run. 5 recycle, 4 greens, 5 garbage, 1 trade waste and recycling (026). That spot is always a bugger with those trees i think it would be better if they put them on the gutter, would give a bit more clearance for the overhanging trees. Yeah saved him there one more move with the arm would have seen that shit in the bin all over the road. yeah i like the intro i did for this one not too long and managed to chuck a few pics in there too !

Hey mate I was just wondering, do u suppose u can get some footage of trucks up on the north shore like in Warringah and Pitt water like there's like heaps of trucks down here and lots of new Gen V's being mostly used now instead of the Macdonald Johnstons, being good that lots of new rear loaders are joining the fleet as well
