It would be nice to see the set up with what you use inside and what pole and pipe to stand it.
I appreciate you showing us the mistakes you made on the first one, it helps to know what won't work and why. Can't wait to try this!
Honestly the double dipped cup it still pretty cute 😍!
Thank you! 🥰
THANK YOU FOR SHOWING WHAT DIDN'T WORK!!!! I think both cups look great but I love the second one and the fact that explained both the first and second attempt!
I rarely comment but I am so happy I found your tutorial!! Just made my first three tumblers with this method and they are turning out great. Still need lots of practice but you made the process so easy to follow. Thanks much!
I'm so glad!
Love how you swirl the cup and do t have the stringy stuff stuck to it! Beautiful!
Oh I love the colors!! I want to try this.
This is great! Thank you for this video. Especially the bloopers!
This was a wonderful video! I've been watching a lot of tutorials as I have a few items I want to hydro dip with a marble look and your video is the best I've seen! I love that you explained, not just the basic "how to" but also some mistakes and what to watch out for and such. Wonderful!! Thank you so so much!! Your mugs looked amazing!
Thank you! That means so much!
This is the best hydro dip I've seen! Not usually a fan of the look, but I LOVE this!
Thank you! 🥺💓
Beautiful Name😍🤗... And TFS!! SO HELPFUL 👍🏾🥰
I totally appreciate you going over what did not work for you!

That was beautiful! Love the colors 😍 Thanks for sharing!
Absolutely! Glad you enjoyed! 🥰
Thanks for the bloopers! They were really helpful
Gorgeous result!
Thank you! 😊
Oh I love this!!!
So thank yoooou I just tried it and it was an epic fail, so I came back, stumbled upon your video, to see wtf I did wrong and yup! Fast drying spray paint and me swirling a stick in it was not the move! LOL guess I’ll try again LOL thank youuuuh NEW SUBSCRIBER!! LOL
Omg! It came out BEAUTIFUL & SO cute!!! It came out better than the ones that I seen from Artsy Pretty Plants video!!!
Beautiful 😍
It literally used up all of the paint you sprayed in there in one dipping 😍🥰 soo creative and beautiful such a great technique!
Thank you so much 😊
I really like it
Beautiful ❤️🔥
What do you use inside the cup as a handle?
Beautyful!!!!!
I thought it looked pretty the first time you did it lol. I can't wait to try this.
Great pointers, thanks!
Glad it was helpful!
You did great!!
Thanks you!
Awesome videos!
That's beautiful! I've tried a few times & a couple turned out ok but this is the look I'm really going for. Thank you for sharing! Do you use cold or warm water? I've heard conflicting things on this but I love how yours turned out, so I'd like to know the water temp you use. Thanks again for sharing. And I feel better after seeing your mess-ups since I've had several mess-ups. Lol. Beautiful tumbler!!
I’m glad I found this. I like videos that get right to the point. Does this work on plastic tumblers as well?
Thank you for being honest, I tried about 3 times and none have been successful when I get a chance I’m going to try it the same way you did on the video maybe different colors
Oh I like the chopstick trick!!! Gonna try that 🙂
It ended up helping so much!
Creations by Xanthia it came out beautiful!!!
Hi! Love your video! May I ask if you don't mind telling how did you prep your tumbler? Did you just spray paint it or did you sand paper it first? Thank you. ❤️
This is really nice! Can i ask how did you remove the excess paint that went inside the tumbler?
You’re so cute lmao I loved this tutorial. Straight to the point and easy.
Super easy to follow, thank you for the great tutorial! Have you done any mug tumblers? Just curious if it will work with a handle.
Could I use Crystalac Brite Tone instead of epoxy? If so, how many layers would you recommend? Thank you!!
is there any way that crackle medium can be used and great a great crackle?
What do you put on it after u dip it so when the cups washed n paint don't con off
Amazing video! Definitely love the colors!!!! Will be trying that soon!!! Do you have an IG??
Would it be possible to seal it with anything other than epoxy? Like could you use ModPdge?
these hydro dipping look so much easier to do for a first timer, i should do one tomorrow
They’re great and an easy way to get into making tumblers! 💓
@@makinganrn7608 I have to try one today, any tips? Ur welcome
I'd love to know how you strip the bad ones!!
Can you tell me what your using to put in the cup to hold onto it?
Can I use acrylic paint?
Is there any need for a finishing layer so they can be washed after use?
The double dipped one is still cute!! Instead of epoxy can i use mod podge?
You could, I will say I'm not sure how long it will last in terms of longevity.
What kind of paid did you used? Is there any special tips?
Should I be using hot, cold or lukewarm water?
Did you let your first white coat gas off for 48hrs before dipping?
What did you use inside the tumblr to to keep the pole inside ?
I used an attachment for one of my tumbler turners that came with it! :)
What temperature do you need the water
Where did you dump your paint water?
What do you call that thingy inside the tumbler that you’re holding when you dip it in? You’re very helpful! Thank you x
You could just fit your hand inside and twirl your hand
Its a pool noodle
What is it that is in your tumbler to dip it?
hello, dumb question here
does it matter what kind of paint you use?
like tge base of it, like water based, oil, acrylic, alcohol?
I think water based won't work as well sitting on top of the water for dipping, I used just regular spray paint.
Will try the chopstick trick!! I dont do hydrodip because of the clumping😂🤣
Use a disposable chopstick! I used one of my personal ones and I deeply regret it 😩
How long do you let the white paint dry?
It’s spray paint so however long the bottle says. In this case, 20 mins or so.
Hi what did you put over the paint after the paint dried to protect it?
I used epoxy!
@@makinganrn7608 - Epoxy of the SPRAY kind? Or brush on kind? 2 part epoxy?
Hey :) what temperature should the water be or does it matter?
I had used cold-ish water, but I feel like warm water would probably work as well if not better!
I think if the water was a tad warmer, the paint would not clump so quickly, if at all.
How do you cure it??? Or make it a little more scratch resistant
I used epoxy!
what did you put on the tumblers after you let them dry ?
Epoxy! 🥰
Is there particular temperature for the water?
The water I used was cold, but I haven't tried it with warm water yet!
can you put it in the dishwasher with or without eproxy?
You cannot put epoxy in the dishwasher. This is hand wash only.
How did you clean the paint from the inside of the cup?
I used a little bit of epoxy on any of the paint that got inside and then just ripped it out. Similar to waxing your legs.
Do u have a tiktok to follow? Love your work!
Hi!!! What’s color is the pink one? Love it!
I linked the paint in the video description!
Pink
what is in the liquid?
Do the water have to be warm or cold?
I used cold water!
The paint doesn’t get inside of the cup ?
When you dipped your tumbler and took it out, did you have bubles
I did not have bubbles, did you sand and prep your cup before dipping?
@@makinganrn7608 how do you sand an prep them?
Can you please share the temp of your water? I tried using warmer water and the color slid right off :(
I used straight from the faucet cold water, it seemed to work well and I had intended to try warm water as well because it seemed like it may work better. I'll let you know my experience!
How do you make those handles that would be so much easier than putting my hand in it with a glove on
The first Turner I ever bought came with them! 🥰
amzn.to/2ysJP9h
@@makinganrn7608 thank you
A video showing the preparing of the tumbler and the insert that is used inside of it would be awesome
How do you keep, or clean out, the paint that goes into the inside of the cup?
Paint will not get inside the cup because the lid is on and taped down.
How do you seal the paint so it doesn’t come off
I personally used epoxy resin!
@@makinganrn7608 how do you use epoxy resin to seal it?
Can u use acrylic paint
I'm not sure if it would work with acrylic paint.
Acrylic paint is water-based and would not work well for hydro dipping. The paint would just sink to the bottom of the water. You really want an oil-based paint.
How long do you let it sit before applying the epoxy
Until it’s dry to the touch!
I see 🤑🤑🤑
Can you do this after you epoxied?
In theory yes, but you will still have to seal it with epoxy ❤️
Ooohhhhh the bubbles!!😫😫😫what do we do about the bubbles!!
Do the bubbles still show after the expoxy. I never make it that part, the frustration.
What bubbles are you referring to? I wish I could see pictures :(
@@makinganrn7608 oh that was last summer . I was so frustrated I threw the cup away. After I pulled the cup back out of the water, it was covered in tiny bubbles.
The gold causes the paint to gum.
Just take the L!!! Great statement
I would advise to use gloves.
For sure! When I made this video finding gloves at this point in the pandemic was impossible!
@@makinganrn7608 I get it. I reused my rubber gloves for numerous hydrodips.
I know I'm three years late, but *please* wear gloves. Paints are carcinogenic, and repeated or prolonged exposure can really impact your health.
I see 🤑🤑🤑
