I wish Lego would reissue the Medieval Village for those of us who weren't even collecting Lego 15 years ago. But I realize that it's very rare for Lego to re-release sets with some few exceptions like the Saturn V Rocket.
My issue with Lego at the moment is the sheer amount of expensive sets being released each year! Used to be only a few but now there’s loads and there’s no way of collecting them or catching up. A smaller castle range would be better or even split that set into three and sell them separate I’m sure a wider market could be reached that way
Corporate greed is all the rage amongst corporations - because of the times . Yawn / sigh*
Big globalist corporations are in a stage of maximizing wealth and assets before those psychos in 10k suits and reeking of hugo boss bankers / satanists push Red Buttons/ engineer Events that usher in their global one world government / "aka "New world order" . Any day now it seems sometimes.
I’m with you, it’s wild to me that the Village and Cottage are releasing the same month. Stuff like that would be every few months not two every month. I am VERY selective with large sets now as a result cause it could get out of hand easily. What they’re making is often fantastic, but because there’s so many, even if I love it I pass on it. A great displayable playset will always be my favourite
I think that staying away from LEGO Technic in general is a very smart decision. it's getting worse and worse with the years and the real highlights are few and far between. I've always been a big fan of the system and I'm general pretty brand-loyal to LEGO but the Technic system sets other brands are putting out are just so much better on so many levels, it's not even funny anymore. they are making giant leaps ahead while LEGO is walking backwards.

Technic this year is much better than before, especially the space sets. The new spaceship is incredible
I know the exact feeling you felt when the Snow White cottage images came out I can’t wait for it to be released! I’m definitely waiting for a sale or something because that price is insane but other than that it’s soooo good!
Interesting about licensing on the stickers for the Formula 1 cars. The companies pay money to have their stickers on the real cars but would need to be paid to use them on a replica.

I love the boat house. As I had a boxes of lego lying around, I just followed the pictures and created my own boat house almost exactly like the new one. Its replacing my old self built boathouse. That said, i will be buying the owlery, looks great.

Love these anti haul vids! Your prices in Australia seem all over the place this time around. Definitely grabbing that buildable Stitch, and hoping Snow Whites cottage goes on discount this year
I won’t be picking up any Lego Star Wars sets until May so across March and April I plan to pick up the Snow White Cottage and the Medieval Town Square. I think I’ll also buy the creator Fox as part of my Christmas display later in the year too.
I really like the look of the Medievil village. Any thoughts on the F1 front and rear wheels being the same size..?
I have the 2019 Tantive IV but it's still MISB. I don't have space to display it.
I don't have that much space at home, and also not much funds. So as of now I will limit myself to the HP Boat House, which looks amazing!
I'm aiming to get the R2D2, Boarding The Tantive IV and Ford Mustang sets.

What hasn’t been mentioned in this video that I’m also looking forward to are two of the Ninjago sets (Dragon Stone Shrine & Little Dragon Riyu).
Everything else you talked about I have zero interest in!
The rock dragon shrine thing is incredible! I love how unique and beautiful the build looks
all i see is me buying parts from resellers. goats,fang,babylbg owl, animal crossing tree stump pieces, maybe the windows/doors. but yeah. the only thing i' excited for is the 3 in one fox. i was gonna wait on it
It's definitely a strong March wave. To me I only care about Castle, Harry Potter and the G-canon Star Wars sets.
Will I buy anything on day 1? Probably not. I would normally get the entire Harry Potter wave, but this wave is so weak that I rather wait for Amazon to put them all on discounts.
As for Star Wars, I'm leaving those for the May 4th promotions.
So I will *maybe* get the Medieval Market on day 1. Maybe. I agree that it's a bit underwhelming considering the 230€ price tag.
As for the Snow White cottage...I'm leaving that to promotions elsewhere. I don't really want to encourage LEGO's new tactic of stealing designs from fans who submitted it on Ideas, releasing virtually the same set but cutting out the fan designer.
I have to agree about Snow White. It's totally disgusting what Lego did. With previous cases like the Ghostbuster Firehouse and the Jurassic Park Gate set, I gave them a pass. The firehouse was already an existing IP thanks to the first Ideas set and they did give the fan designer a free copy of the set. The JP gate designer had already made a T-Rex MOC years ago and just moved it over to Jurassic Park. This time, there's no excuse. Lego straight up stole Snow White from that fan. They said they would consider it, cancelled it and then made it themselves. If they'd rejected it straight away, maybe you could argue that it was in production but the fact that they considered it shows that they weren't planning on making it before the fan submission
I found the Sorting Hat and Boat Dock early at Khols. They are both great! I like the sorting hat WAY more than I thought I would. Me and my kids have had a great time seeing which house we and our pets are in. Spoiler: It's mostly Slytherin for some reason.

I'm shocked at the prices in Australia. Snow White is pretty much doubled. And $219 is insane here in the US where inflation is crazy. $400 is just unfathomable.
I just converted it to see how bad it is and now I’m mad. Granted we have taxed included but still…
The 2019 Tantive is a brilliant set. The only thing that makes it not a UCS set is the fact that it doesn't have a stand.
We're getting ripped in aus dollars on some of these sets. Target and kmart like 20% off a lot of the time. We all have some we buy of release but 50% we always wait for. I'll be buying the medieval village on the day but waiting for snow white cottage. Stitch brickheadz is a must on the day though.
I agree about the March wave of Star Wars sets. I'm not a an of the midi scale ships. A second buildable R2 on the shelves doesn't make sense to me either, even though the new one comes with a 25th anniversary figure (first ever Darth Revan). Will get the Boarding the Tantive IV set. Definitely interested in the Harry Potter sets. It looks like the new forbidden forest set will connect to the new Hagrid's Hut.
It's Darth Malak. Revan came out years ago as a May 4th promotion I believe.
Als a propper lego fanboy I'm totally fed up with the high prices and close to switching to Mould King instead. They have a couple of brilliant sets as wel. and... for a fraction of the price. Lego is making a capital mistake and risk losing a huge fanbase just because of corporate greed.
I feel foolish for buying the Hogwart castle sets 2021-2023 as the new wave looks epic and I'm not gonna rush out and spend like I had done. I wonder how much the total cost for new Hogwarts will be $700-$750?
That's awesome that your grandpa worked for McLaren. I used to be a casual fan of F1 as a kid and that's the only set of the whole F1 line up that interests me. It's not perfect but I love the idea of getting Senna's car and one that will go with the Lego Icons vehicles.
I'm so excited for the midiscale ships. I want to have ships on display but I'm definitely not spending UCS amounts for them nor do I have the space. Right now I have a few playscale ships but these are much better for me. I'll definitely be waiting until they go on sale though. Totally agree about R2-D2. They either should've waited until the previous one retired or skipped that one for now and just released this one.
Looking forward to Snow White but I'm hoping it goes on sale
I hope Snow White becomes one of the icons sets that goes to third party retailers so it can get discounted too. There’s a small part of me that would love two to combine them but at that price I could never justify it

I'd love for you to do a video on Lego sets that came through Ideas but we're made as non-Ideas sets. Like the Ghostbusters Firehouse, the Jurassic Park gate and this Snow White set. The first 2 were a bit more okay because they already had the license but this one does seem a bit dodgy due to them considering it through Ideas first before rejecting it and releasing this

So tempted when it got annonced. As an amateur astronomy guy i was the target but the fibbly not stable structure of it on video took me away from it.
06:20 I get the thinking in some ways….after all it’s not the only time a design of a thing has been done at multiple price points at the same time. I mean there was a time when there were I think 3 different versions of the Millennium Falcon on the shelves simultaneously- the UCS one, the Playscale one, the microfighter. Same with the x wing (ucs and playscale) hell even the Harry Potter Hogwarts express had two different versions on at the same time (ucs and playscale).
Personally I think the new smaller R2 looks way batter than the UCS version. Price is nicer too. I just wish they’d have differentiated by say doing another astromech droid like C2-B5 or R2-Q5 (obscure droids I know so probably wouldn’t have made it). Or how about an R5-D4.
Or thinking about it another way LEGO could have built a whole new line or set idea around astromech droids. Either doing different droids in a helmet series style line (but given the relative obscurity of most droids they probably wouldn’t have gone for it) or go the “build a lightsaber” style way with a set where you could build your own astromech design by swapping out parts and colours. Kinda like what the did with the Ideas Z28 Camaro set which you can customise to suit!

The new village looks 20x better than the old one
SW is my main theme obviously and this dry spell feels like eternity. I bought 2 battlepacks but beyond that, I have money burning a hole in my pocket. This starship collection is just underwhelming or overpriced, Fives is botched, and the new R2 head looks like a neckbeard. I have the UCS R2 anyways...

The Medieval Town Square will retail for $230 not $400 (unless you were referring to Australian dollars). I agree at $400 US it would fall short but at $230 it’s as close a great value as the Viking Village.

I’ve got the day off work to go to the Lego Store on 1st March. I actually love the Medieval Town Square so will probably get that. Probably going to get Animal Crossing sets but may wait a while for a GWP. Already found the speed champions early - The McLaren is really nice.

You know? Theres some great sets to be bought from China , quality getting better and sets sold in boxes now with handles and wrapped in plastic film. Some great sets for city builders on budgets plus sets lego just refuse to do. I think TEMU - i luv u !
