Das war schoen, ganz ja schoen. A thoroughly German job, precise, clean, orderly and correct. You did a great job. Now if we could just clone you . . . I had a Quickly as a kid so this was very interesting. Vielen Dank.
Concerning the German lyrics from around 2:35 on, a rough English version would be My grandma rides a motorcycle without brake without light her horn is stolen and the rear tire not airtight. The gas tank is leaking badly and the exhaust bangs and cracks but grandma drives happily through the mild summer night.
As Rustinox mentioned in your comments --- I too was surprised you were still able to get --- gaskets --- of course gaskets can be made -- seals --- O-rings and bearings ---- can be measured up ----- Nice Little video --- Thank You ---- Rodney
My guess is that in postwar Germany, nobody had the money to buy a car, so everybody drove one of these. They must have been built by the millions, so it's still profitable today to sell spares.
I was surprised how well-organised the parts supplier was - even if you didn't know the term for the part, you could just click on it on an explosion drawing and the website led you straight to it.
Man, you'll take on ANYTHING!😂 Working on this engine after the Model A 4-banger must be like a clock maker working on a pocket watch. 5:49 Fire Extinguisher On Standby!😳 I sure hope your shop coat is fire resistant. 8:19 Every good mechanic knows that stubborn parts require 2 parts hammer and 5 parts profanity!🤬 Thanks for this. It was really interesting.
Well you have found a motor that you can rebuild while you are waiting for parts to get the ford back together hopefully soon you will be putting up a video of it going together soon

These small 50cc Mc is called “mopeds” in Sweden. NSU was also popular in Sweden back in the days.
Good work

Good thing you could still find parts for this thing. For some brands they just don't exist anymore.

Good job ....🙏🙏🙏
Thank you 👍

I guess as oil-drenched as it is, it will probably burn for a good few minutes before the tissue starts taking damage xD
"somehow word spread i dig into engines"... hm... cant image where this rumour comes from...
I still can't believe how you manage to be working with engines and chinos and a shirt!
The English operate their steam tractors in white shirts and tie... Now that's next level!

The NSU Quickly was the 50 cc machine to own ,until the great Honda 50 cub came along & blew it into the weeds .

Schade ;)
