Rock climbing on Karpathos

From 2015 the Polish team has equipped nearly 200 sport climbing routes. Their greatest success is the comprehensive development of the largest area of ​​Adia and the discovery of the amazing Iwona Gorge, whose potential is enormous.
The rock on Karpathos is limestone of every possible form. There is no formation dominating on the island. You will find here both huge overhangs with tufas that can be found in either Leonidio or on Kalymnos, crimpy vertical walls with small edges and slightly overhanging, steep walls with slopers. The rock is sharp in places, and because it is just the beginning of climbing activity here, the routes are still not slippery.
