Thanks for sharing your thoughts about studying with us - hope you're enjoying your 3rd year now
Definitely one of the best Vlogs about medicine , you made what is a complex subject , very approachable , Thanks !
starting y1 at newcastle next week. really useful and insightful! Thank you!
So glad this was able to help you! If you have any questions and stuff feel free to message me 💕
Loved this video!! I just went to a college fair, and i fell in love with Newcastle University
Really useful thorough video
Currently choosing which unis to firm/insure so this was so helpful! thank you! :)
I hope to be Coming here in 2022 😭 I really hope I can study medicine here
Is year 2 comparatively much difficult than year 1? also, what year did you find the most hardest getting through in medicine?
hello, thank you so much for this video. i am thinking of applying to Newcastle but I have some questions about international students, like the number they accept for medicine each year.
Great video I got an offer from Newcastle 4 days ago!!
@@nehafatima3919 I did my interview in December and got an offer in march so 3 months for me
I too got my offer letter from newcastle university for Msc human resource
Hi! Where did you end up staying for accomodation in first year? Thanks!
I was in St James Point! It was around 15mins from the medical school and in the city centre, so a great location. I had lovely flatmates too and an ensuite as well!
thank you for this!! im trying to decide whether to go into nursing or med school 😫do you know what you wanna do after med school?
I'm glad this was helpful!
Which do you feel most drawn to? Do you think you'd want to have the option to be involved more with the treatment and diagnosing of patients? (Medicine) Or caring and looking after them? (Nursing)
I really like GP and psychiatry at the moment :) but I'll probably change my mind 😅
@@ChristinaAaliyah i love the idea of both, i wanna treat patients obviously to make them better but i also like the idea of actually connecting with them and giving them amazing care, i'm only in year 11 so i still have a year or so to think about it
i would also want to work in paediatrics, so i'm not sure which would be the best option!! but i still have time to think about it i suppose
You're absolutely right, you've still got plenty of time to think about it :)
If you're still undecided in year 12 you can also do some (online) work experience to find out if medicine something you want to do 😊

Can you make a video of things to bring in your first year?
Yes! I've made a most forgotten items video czcams.com/video/7JSndROx-gA/video.html but I could make a first year haul too 💘
Do you know anyone studying dentistry at newcastle so I could ask about the tests and teaching experience and whether that’s different to med? Also ty for the vid!
I don’t unfortunately :( but I would recommend this video! czcams.com/video/DQMdvyouCq4/video.html
His IG is in the description in case you want to message him x
What are any downsides?
Placements can be all over the north east! Highly recommend having a car for year 3 onwards !
@@ChristinaAaliyah thanks! I guess that's a shared problem for most unis too
