    CORRECTIONS/NOTES [36, 49]
    36 is C [I marked the wrong one with blue]
    49 IS A
    p - 11 would be the smallest of the 4 odd numbers
    (will prove that in another video)
    I incorrectly assumed the numbers were consecutive
    but if you pick any negative or positive odd number for p - 3, choice A is the smallest in both cases

    save your time and IGNORE question 49
    hmmm, question 49 is sill incorrect
    they must've left some words out of this question
    who ever typed it up
    over 2500 questions since then and this question has never repeated
    (unless it repeats in the few January years I'm missing the past papers for)
    I think they meant to say the numbers were consecutive~
    but anyways, don't waste your time on it!

    ques 60 isnt it 4,-3 if it reflects through the y axis x=0 so it must reflect under the x axis?

    • @csec-maths-chem-paper1s
      @csec-maths-chem-paper1s  Před měsícem

      The line x = 0 is a vertical line and that line is indeed the y-axis
      I wish they'd word some of these problems better
      I see what you mean though!
      If the original point is P(x, y), the reflected point P’ will have coordinates (-x, y)
      I wish they'd just say "the point is reflected across the y-axis"

      describe the graph to chatgpt4 and see what it says
      it sometimes says some interesting things
      and ask it what if so and so
      or how did you know it doesn't mean literally under the y-axis~

    For # 36 if c is the answer why you’re also saying b

    • @csec-maths-chem-paper1s

      oops good catch, marked the wrong one with blue
      thanks for pointing that out!
      the answer C stands
      I'll revise this at some point and fix the errors

  • @Mob._18.
    @Mob._18. Před měsícem

    Forgive me but # 44 is incorrect you’re looking for the integers that falls between 6&10 which is (789) so the answer should be c

      hey, on my version of the paper, it says the set of all x such that 6 is less than or equal to x and x is less than 10
      so that means 6 is inclusive and 10 is exclusive
      the range is the half-open interval [6, 10)
      so the integers on that would be 6, 7, 8, 9

    • @csec-maths-chem-paper1s
      @csec-maths-chem-paper1s  Před měsícem

      {x: 6 ≤ x ≤ 10} is {6, 7, 8, 9, 10}, interval [6, 10]
      endpoints inclusive
      {x: 6 < x < 10} is {7, 8, 9}, interval (6, 10)
      endpoints exclusive
      {x: 6 ≤ x < 10} is {6, 7, 8, 9}, interval [6, 10)
      endpoints left-half-inclusive
      {x: 6 < x ≤ 10} is {7, 8, 9, 10}, interval (6, 10]
      endpoints right-half-inclusive
