Later it was sold in the US for profitable services and it’s been at least a decade since it was made by p&g and the centers for disease control. It separates sediments with flocculant and kills bacteria, viruses, and parasites with a chlorine compound
There's a youtuber that put the clear water in a microscope and it was good. Apparently, one of those packets contain some chemical that can kill bacteria.
Now he only needs to add another bag then boil the water and drink it with that filtering straw forgot the name but apparently it filters 99% of bacteria if I remember well
Awesome product. The satchets of powder contain two main ingredients: Ferric Sulfate (a coagulant that clumps all the sediments and larger microbes together and sinks them to the bottom) and calcium hypochlorite (specifically used to disinfect the water or microbes, and essentially bleach powder) so yes, this water is actually safe to drink. The guy who invented the combination of powders actually used it to help clean larger river systems and create drinkable water for places that don't have access to good quality water. This product is amazing, but for the skeptics, after use, portion out some for a drink, and boil it before consumption to create an extra step of precaution if you're not trusting the satchets. But this bag does in fact clean, and disinfect water. Obviously don't scoop up water contaminated with oil or gas lol, but this is a great step for survival.

I understand it's a meme but the main purpose of the packet is to kill waterborne bacteria (rated at 99.999% effective) and viruses/parasites (rated at 99.99% effective). Those ratings are of course an average and nothing can be guaranteed, especially with user error, but those kinds of purification packets from P&G (and others) really are a lifesaver if used properly.
I wanted to love this product, i had discovered the P&G Purifiers of Water a few years back, and while it works, it was impractical to bring a five gallon collapsible bucket with you, while backpacking. And this is where this beauty comes in a small portable rollup bag that can hold five gallons, and after watching this review i was sold! But that is where the good ends with this product, the sliding piece that you see him put on, to close the bag is impossible to completely seal. And shaking the bag, like what is done in the video, within 30 seconds the plastic piece would come undone and the water would fly out everywhere! And you have no idea how frustrating that is after watching this review and you see this guy doing it so effortlessly! Before this product can really be the Ultimate Water Treatment System, the closing system needs to be redone or even dome away with and replaced with a standard screw on lid!
I feel like the only time these water treatments are used are during these videos when people just wanna see if they will make water clear lol. That water was definitely just dumped back on to the ground
Depends on where you are. In Germany very low amounts (max. 0.3 miligram per liter)*can* be used if the source is contaminated, but it's not standard procedure to add chlorine all the time.
It's step one... looks like some sort of flocculation agent. It clumps the sediment together and lets it fall out of suspension. Step 2 is a heat or chemical treatment to kill pathogens. Suspended particles will interfere with chemical treatments, and taste absolutely terrible when heated.

The microbes in the water: Let us introduce ourselves
The powder doesn't just clump up the dirt it also has cholrine in it that kills the microbes so yeah do your reaserch before commenting
After cleaning the water you can simply boil it
@@rudyiuvale3695 what's exactly what I thought
the boil: i'm about to finish this man's whole career
It's just flocculant. That doesn't purify the water. You would still need to boil that water before drinking it.
Absolutely correct. The floc just binds small particles to each other so they sink. Id doesn’t purify the water at all.
Apparently it has disinfectant in it as well. Not saying it's good
@@castaholic8665 Obviously you have to cool it down

The amount of people that don’t understand that chlorine is used to treat any water you drink is mind blowing. Tap water, bottled water, etc.
Depends on where you are. In Germany very low amounts (max. 0.3 miligram per liter)*can* be used if the source is contaminated, but it's not standard procedure to add chlorine all the time.
I actually drink chlorinated water to cure illnesses. Chlorine dioxide. Works.
i dont think that is safe to drink 🤔
White bread
@ProstyProtos71 General knowledge.
This is very useful, you could just boil it afterwards if you're worried that it might be bad still
Yea, but boiling won’t get everything out there could still be a chance of stuff in there
@@bosstankproductions1304 you want to drink or not?
@@senatorarmstrong689 Yes
@@bosstankproductions1304 boiling kills all bacteria

The PnG sachet contains alum, which is a coagulating agent. Still you have to bleach the water through chlorination
Gems laughing at corner 😂
Ah this water packet looks good!, drinks it*
10 mins later: why is my stomach looking like im pregnant

OH LMAO
You're weak

We need more of this man to purify the entire world
No , he can do it himself.
Be that man to purify the world
you mean ethnic cleansing? Yeah good ideah!
wait...
Easier said than done
no those kind of ecosytems are needed ouryifying the source is stupid, just do what this guy did if ya desprate enough for water
In a Zombie Apocalypse, this comes in handy for survival.
Remember guy, dirty water can be safe and clear water can be dangerous " Ae Ae Boi "
“I have…turd water in here” the way he laughed after that made my day
Same
Not very often I audibly laugh watching CZcams but that was one of them.
Does he mean amber turd?
Jajaja same
@@pgi_thapanabin4940 Obviously. What else could he possibly be talking about?
He said "clear water" not drinkable water.
Everyone: I'm not drinking that.
Are you slow?
Then he can boil the water to get rid of biological contamination

Just add Tang. what you don't see won't hurt you 🙄

Im gonna level with ya. That PNG water packet looks like the basic shape of a human stomach muscle
I would love to see a test on the clean water to see if it’s really safe though. Clear doesn’t always mean safe.
You won't get sick after drinking this 99%. This purifier is pretending to purify water from the nasty pond but not from the swamp like that.
I think ur still meant to boil it after
@@aniya8443 the purification packets are probably a type of bleach, which would kill anything living.
Depends on the source, tap water is basically used water also some water brands. There'd only one water brand I prefer
It's step one... looks like some sort of flocculation agent. It clumps the sediment together and lets it fall out of suspension.
Step 2 is a heat or chemical treatment to kill pathogens. Suspended particles will interfere with chemical treatments, and taste absolutely terrible when heated.
Video needs to show how good this product is at destroying pathogens...
"Sir! Im dying out of thirst"
"Wait, Its on cooldown"
