New challenge idea. No reloading Moze. You're not allowed to manually reload or let her perform an automatic reload by shooting the last shot in her gun. Early on there will be a lot of swapping around weapons until she's high level enough to grab the skill that refills ammo in her magazine. Further challenge difficulty would be only 1 CoV weapon and no Butcher.
Not possible unless mayhem 10, where weapons drop all the time.
I didn't expect this playthrough to be as fun as it actually was! I consistently watch your content, but haven't played in a long while. This playthrough made me want to go back and play it as well! As always, love your content!

Really glad you loved the melee Amara. My first playthrough was initially a shotgun/melee hybrid, but quickly morphed into pure melee because the green tree capstone is sooo much fun. Especially on lower chaos levels, you can just run around a level pinging between enemies.
As an Amara main since launch, it does put a big smile on my face seeing anyone enjoying all melee capabilities to their best. Also it woud have been nice if Gearbox had updated Bloody Harvest, to have Skeletons from Wonderlands instead of the Maliwan troopers but oh well. Happy Halloween 🎃
Amara is just so much fun. Bubble burster, psycho stabbed ball, and frozen face puncher nova are all such fun builds. Watching hemovorous evaporate was *chef’s kiss*

K6 always ends up doing a playthrough that he thinks he going to regret (rocket launcher & grenade fl4k and melee amara) and ends up very surprised on how much fun he had and the damage he was able to do.
So true. Meanwhile Tediore Mozevelt I was soooo excited for and mostly hated it

nah, it was because most Tediores were nerfed. Anarchy and Needle Gun still rock.

You could do a Wanderlust playthrough. Pick up and use every weapon you get. To make it a bit easier on the soul, if theres a pile of loot, pick up your preferred weapon and use that. Same thing with the rest of your gear. Once you get to max level and try to beat Raid Bosses, you could make to where you can pick up only legendaries that youre farming. Unless you wanna suffer and just keep the rule from before, you can do it that way. I was thinking if doing this myself, and figured I'd share it!

@ki11ersix I have been doing this run when I've had the time. Finally got to max level and started farming. It took me 3 hours to get a single lvl72 Psychostabber, and then I got a brawler ward in only 2 runs
I FINALLY bought all of the DLC and finished making this build. Melee Amara is now my favorite. So much fun, and SOOO much damage.
I never thought this would be such a great build! This was a surprise! Can’t wait for the next one!

You can kill Hemovorous/any boss using a Phasezerker increasing points to Anima. It will greatly boost the dot damage for Unleash the dragon. That's one of my favorite builds on Amara :)
Lana audio comes in with a tie for first with the Roombara commentary. Head pats for the kitty from a fan.
Blitz is my favorite skill. I wish the next game has it or something similar to it. its amazing

This inspired to roll a melee amara. While not the faster slayer, she's easily the funnest Amara. Also, oddly enough, she's my fastest boss slayer period. Thanks for the inspiration.

I remember running a fish slap build with FL4K. Man was it fun sending rakks out and watching everything die in a second. Might have to re play BL3 on PC ( Put a stupid amount of hours on PS4 and PS5 version ) and give Amara a go. Was the only one I didn't really bother with. Great vid as always.
I can definitely say that the roider on the fish slap definitely increases it's damage. Currently using a double Roider one and it does significantly more damage than any other fish slap I've used

Funny thing is, this isn't even the full potential of this built.
I saw a video on melee Amara built that allows you to punch with all the elements at the same time.

Punchin' Ball Amara really _is_ the greatest!
I played Amara when I played multiplayer with my partner, he had to tell me to stop punching everyone because there was no enemies left to kill. Amara was so op but I'm pretty sure they nerfed her, I felt like one punch man, you could fly through the air exploding everyone in a chain reaction with nothing but her fists and it was beautiful
I've never had an Amara that I was great with. I'm going to try this build. Hemovorous was truly shitting its pants
I managed to get a Frozen Heart from Aurelia first playthrough on FL4K at level 36 on the Switch. ❤ I don’t remember if that happened on my PS4 playthrough with them. 😅 Been about a year since I last played Borderlands 3 on the PS4 Pro. 😅 (Life with a new puppy at the time and couldn’t move the PS4 Pro into the living room. lol)
May seem interesting or dumb. But a challenge idea, I’ll call “underdog” basically you’d have to use uniques and legendaries that aren’t frequently used on any character of your choice. It would be a good look at seeing which weapons either deserve to not be used or ones that may actually be fun or useful.
Yeah upcoming pkaythrough is “This Playthrough F’n Sucks” where I only use the worst gear

As I was farming offline completely so hot fixes were NOT implied due to another CZcamsr who said the patch for the roll for a +3 illuminated fist Muse CoM was a hot fix and not a full patch. (I'm not sure how accurate it is) I was farming General Blisterpus and he dropped me a Peregrine Classmod with Grenade Damage and +7 Grenade Capacity.
Also. Could you do a update build melee build for Amara that would include the face puncher and the blade fury? And looking forward to CoV Moze. First day name. CoZe.
Something everyone forgets you can’t crit with melee in Borderlands 3. It’s just stupid. By that metric alone melee as a whole is worse than it was in 1,2 and TPS.
I’ll never forget being a day 1 preorder player, I did all the Borderlands extra online stuff have the skins to prove it (never got that Maliwan legendary gun tho), I was so excited to try out the new melee character. This time she’s a siren! I mean Athena was basically a siren but still!
I was disappointed off the rip, all these action skills and none of them are actually melee. Okay, we’ll, the ground slam is kind of melee adjacent right? Gets you into the fight. At least she’ll have melee skills… oh wait. She has like 3 melee skills total and the PERSONAL SPACE SKILL DOES NOT APPLY TO MELEE!
Well, once I get Blitz everything will change, and those legendary class mods seem crazy maybe there is a melee one. And yeah it does feel good, until you beat the game. Mayhem seems cool! Oh, melee does literally zero damage… welp guess that’s that.
I didn’t even bother with a melee run through the Maliwan Takedown when that came out.

12:41 I was never a melee fan but I'll agree thar 2 did it better in large part due to the player actually being able to crit with melee attacks. Not like guns, but with actual melee strikes.
It just FELT more satisfying too

If there’s an enemy in your sights then sometimes it will trigger Blitz and make you dash through the ball

Waittttt you can still get a +3 IF Muse?? Has the internet lied to me?? I stopped offline farming these because i never got one with more than 1 point and apparently you cant get them so i gave up lmao
i took a different approach for my lvl 72 build. i am down to sustainment 1/5 and capstone purple tree with body and mind so i get splash damage on my fists. my muse spreads cryo all over the place, i have an icebreaker victory rush but i have like 3 other nice cryo artis like a cryostone with cryo dmg, cryo efficiency, aoe dmg and if i want to use a.s.s frozen heart, i can freeze everything too. i mainly punch things, i try to not use fish slap toooo much.
Yeah the Fish makes it very easy
