‘Far Distant Land’ Lyrics
---------------------------------------
Upon the hill, one last time
I brought a gemstone to leave behind
And through the stones, I went
To that far distant land
Upon the hill, it still feels the same
I'm sure I can hear you calling my name
And through the stones, I went
To that far distant land
You are now a ghost from the past
Two hundred years went by so fast
But I can feel you in my soul
Like I know exactly where to go
You are now a ghost from the past
Two hundred years went by so fast
But I can feel you in my soul
Like I know exactly where to go
Upon the hill, one last time
I brought a gemstone to leave behind
And through the stones, I went
To that far distant land
A land I know so well
In which I left a part of myself
I am on my way
I'm sure I can hear you calling my name
I travel to days of yore
As I'm stepping through the stony door
I can feel you in my soul
Like I know exactly where to go
Our love is like the dragonfly in amber
Preserved in time
And I can feel you in my soul
Like I know exactly where to go
Upon the hill where the stones are standing
And a little blue forget-me-not
Waiting for the stones to start chanting
So they can take me back to you, my love
Back to you, back to you, back to you, my love
Upon the hill, one last time
I brought a gemstone to leave behind
And through the stones, I went
To that far distant land - Hudba
This was my favorite song on the album! ❤👍🏼
The new album 'A Dark Euphony' is outstanding! I have a particular fondness for this song, and the journey it discusses!
100% agree with this statement!
We need a music video for this song 🙏
My highlights for far Distant Land :
Beautiful lyrics by Zora, although I didn't watch "the outlanders", but still, I am carried in her (between two) world(s)
I always love the way Blackbriar is using the 6/8 time signature (like here and also for "forever and a day"). The way they use it forms some powerful flow that carries you, you can't swim outside...
The way the flute and medieval vibes are turned into Blackbriar's world is so epic.
The two ways of signing "you are know a ghost from the past [...] where to go" is one of my absolute crush on the album (...among 2964 others 😂)
(And I had the chance to hear it live, it's as mind-blowing for me as it looks effortless for Zora.)
I love it so much that Zora constantly alternates between beautiful mediums and higher notes
I looooove the syncopated powerful and epic piece of music at 3:00, and as a bonus : Zora's "little blue forget-me-not" (how could I forget Zora? 😂) and "back to you my love" accentuating the whole dizziness.
And then, right after that, the way Zora is delivering the "back to you's" sounds to me surprisingly like "pop" singing(*) (again, changing style of signing effortlessly). And it's absolutely well seen, because it ads a great "lightness" and "happiness" vibe at this moment. Which is really satisfying to hear❤😊
(*)As long as Blackbriar doesn't turn into a pop band, it's ok ☝️😂
OMG this song gives such great vibes of Outlander. Love them both!
Yes I was thinking the same!
When I heard the song I lost my mind!! I love Outlander so much and all the references in it made me cry LOL! Blackbriar outdid themselves once again
It really is a very beautiful song, congratulations to everyone who accomplished this wonderful thing ❤️❣️❤️❣️
You guys are no doubt my favorite band. Much love from nevada❤ never looked forward to a bands new album than this one. I can't wait 🤘🤘
It always sounds great, but especially the first time through you will fall out of your chair when she sings the "I went" lyric.
omg literally mother earth from within temptation and im HERE for it
My favourite from the new songs!! ❤
This is such a beautifully enchanting song. Love is a magical journey that never ends and you describe it perfectly. ❤️🔥🌹

Outlander!!! ❤️❤️❤️
Goosebumps galore, beautiful song
my fav song from this albun
beautiful as always 😍
What a beautiful haunting and brooding track and what a awesome voice really complements the song smash it guys❤❤🇬🇧
This whole album is amazing. Love you @Blackbriar
I think this is one of my fav of the new album
Piano cover from me coming soon for sure. I love this so much.
Emotionally speaking, most music is to me like a plane surface of water.
But some bands are normal waves in calm sees.
But among them, a dozen brings me big ocean waves for some of their songs.
But what Blackbriar delivers me IN EVERY SONG is the 300 meters high wave on Miller's planet (see Interstellar's big wave scene if you don't have the reference).
♥️♥️♥️
I finally remembered what the intro sounds me similar to. Mother Earth by Within Temptation. Love you both! Nederland is the best in female vocal metal bands!
Beautiful voice❤
Beautiful song❤❤❤
You guys never fail to amaze me
Very beatiful song
Beautiful
Wow so beautiful song ❤❤
Inspirated Within Temptation ❤❤❤
I thought so from the first time I listened to this band, evidently in Holland they understood how to achieve success
Omg i was reading the lyrics and they reminded me of thos show im watching called Outlander on Netflix 😊
that's what the song is inspired by!
Enak banget lagunya, berasa masuk dunia fantasy 😭❤
My favorite one!!! I love it!
Here I'am From the distance land in southeast asia name Indonesia 😊
Mantuk
Wahh Ternyata... 😂
Yg ditunggu2 rilis juga
Hello fellow Indonesian Thorn! :D
Sweet lyrics in all the tracks, as always a value for itself. I must soon listen all the album in the right order but for now in the melodies I recognize something as for your first singles like "deadly diminuendo" and "selkie" in new coherent form. It's not simple a task to build an identity, you have done well already this far. 👏
Chills!
THIS IS AMAZING TY!
Waaa this is my favorite song … ❤

Mother Earth by Within Temptation was the template for this song :)
In all fairness a lot of Blackbriar songs are more or less similar to WT (the drums/riffs rhythm patterns), but I'm not complaining... WT aren't doing anything remotely good (and in this style) since 2007 ! :)
No way, the lyrics were inspired by the series Outlander.
@@Helstar74 yeah played with instruments and the songs are sung by a female vocalist. But if you would listen more carefully then you would notice that that's about all similarity. Melody lines differ quit a lot, vocal lines are completely unique for both bands, not to speak about the lyrics. But they kinda belong in the same genre.
@@GerVoeten I wrote "drums/riffs rhythm patterns" infact, nothing about vocal lines or lyrics. Learn to understand the words written. And this is the least obvious song where you can say ''they're not so similar" :p
Oh and Within Temptation sux since almost 20 years, Blackbriar is a far better band right now !
@@Helstar74 ricght o know what i said. And if you listened right, j you could have noticed yourself that its completely different. So the statement that its a template for this song is nonsense. Its the need to categorise music that causes these unfounded comments. For sure there is similarities within a genre, but calling that a template is ridiculous. As if playing a guitar is a template for Rock music
