Thanks for the video. Ordered the same parts and installed on my 87 turbo t. I cut the holes on the dust boots that came with the Hella stuff larger to fit past the led heat sinks to try and keep the dust out. I also like the OE look

I ordered the light bukbs u have in link but there not the one's u have there try using the number u put up for someone else that had the same problem but cant find them at all

LED bulbs are: Aukee 6000k 50 watt LED, Part# 659516951940 Since they are 50 watt bulbs and they come with the conversion as part of the wiring, there was no additional harness needed. Just plug and play!
So stupid question, to do all 4, I just need 4 housing and and 2 packs of the bulbs, the bulbs look like the come 2 in a pack, or do I need a different bulb for the inside or high beam light?? Hope that makes sense
Great question. What I do know is Hella makes a H1 housing for high beams that might diffuse the light a bit differently than the H4. The bulbs would all be the same, 50w LED. I do intend to add the H1's to mine but was waiting for the price to come down and wanted to get the low beams in first to drive at night this summer. So far so good!
Please clarify exactly what needs to be ordered. I ordered Hella #3177001 - just housing and dust boot. You listed Aukee bulb # - does that come with wiring ? Do I need 2 of that Aukee # or 4 ? I just installed Sylvania Silverstars - so very little to no difference from my 34 year old original bulbs. Thank you
The Aukee kit comes with 2-H4 Low beam LED bulbs in the box so you just need to order 1 of that part# X002SIHOUH. Wiring is part of the bulb assembly. I just did the low beams for now, and they were plug and play. I haven't found the Hella H1 high beam housings for a good price yet, but will switch to them eventually. You won't regret switching to the LED low beams. Let me know if you need any more info.

@@richwarner8403 nice! This is definitely the best look for stock. Hard to tell they are upgraded until you see how well and how far they light up the road!
@@richwarner8403 I believe the highs are H1 housings and the cutoff is different. I dont think there is a diffuser in the H1 housings. It would be very bright for sure.
Great video. I actually bought this same kit, 4-headlight housings (high and low beams) and led bulbs, thanks to your recommendation. The low beams plugged in directly just like you showed in your video. The high beam connector from the harness on the car is a 2 prong connector and the led bulb is a 3 prong. I can notch the plastic connector to on the harness to plug in the led but will that effect it in anyway?
Thanks! Notching the plastic connector is no problem since that top prong is for low beam light and will not be used anyway. You may have to switch the green and black wires around in the high beam connector for all 4 to work properly. I'm about to do mine as well.

Can I use the same H4 Hella (3177001) for high beams, and then use the H1 Aukee conversion ? If so, would you know the correct Aukee p/n ? Thank you very much - I’m really looking forward to doing this conversion and being able to see better when I have to drive my GN at night.
The H1 housing is the one you need for High beams. It doesn't have the diffuser in it so it results in a better spread light with no cut off. I've heard people have used the H4 LED bulbs for high beam and just cut or bent the one tab back since high beams are only 2 prong. The bulbs I am going to try are Part# B07H8MF2RH , they are H1 LED's and have the correct 2 prong wiring.
Hey jack, any idea why my low beams cut off when I turn my brights on? Im using h4s. Rewired like you said, but the low beams don’t stay on with the highs 😢

Thanks Rich! All the components came from Amazon. The price on the Hella lenses seems to jump up and down but it was great at the time.

How many Flasher units are there? 1 or 2? After led conversion the 4 ways flash but directional will not blink.
What size are the front tires on your GN ?
fronts are 245 50 16, old school. Not much avail in a 16"tire anymore.
