How To Install The 07th Mod Expansion For Higurashi/Umineko

Find and open your game folder
On Steam: open your Steam library, choose the game from the list, right click on it and click on Properties. Switch to the LOCAL FILES tab and click on Browse local files...)
If you just see an icon called HigurashiEp0X (where X is the chapter number), you may need to right click it, then click "Show Package Contents" to show the Contents folder
The game folder (called Contents) should contain some folders like Resources, MacOS, Plugins, Frameworks, and others - we will only be modifying the Resources folder
In the below "Downloads" table, download one file of each type. That is, you'll need the following archives:
Patch
Graphics patch
Voices
BGM
Sound Effects
Movies (choose ONE according to your operating system)
UI Mod (choose ONE according to your operating system and game version)
Update
Console Arcs Only: System Files (choose ONE according to your operating system)
After downloading all the files, place them in Resources/Data, except for the BGM and SE archives
Navigate inside Resources/Data/StreamingAssets and delete the folders CG and CGAlt
This is not a requirement but we recommend to delete the mentioned folders to save disk space and avoid any random issues
Navigate back to Resources/Data folder and extract the downloaded files using the following method:
Extract all archives EXCEPT [CHAPTER TITLE].Voice.and.Graphics.Patch.[VERSION NUMBER].zip
After all the other archives are extracted, you can then extract [CHAPTER TITLE].Voice.and.Graphics.Patch.[VERSION NUMBER].zip
Overwrite all files if asked
When finished, this should produce a HigurashiEp0X_Data folder (where X is the chapter number) - the full path will be Resources/Data/HigurashiEp0X_Data
Open a terminal window in the Resources/Data folder. Follow these steps if you don't know how to do it
In the terminal window, type: rsync -avP HigurashiEp*/* . and hit enter (type the * literally)
Wait until the files are copied to the right place
Extract the BGM and SE archives inside the Resources/Data/StreamingAssets folder
Delete all the downloaded files and any leftover HigurashiEp0X_Data folders (where X is the chapter number) after ensuring the game is working as expected - Zábava

I played doki doki literature club and it was such a fun and scary Ride
I watched the anime of when they cry and really liked it but I personally felt as if there was something missing, so I’ll definitely give the 07th mod a shot ! Can’t wait to play this once I’m done with my school work !!
Honestly, VN's are extremely fun to go through but I haven't really had time to play them. But I was fortunate enough to beat doki and doki+ both were fun. And the Higurashi VN's are a blast too still need to finish up though.

Hey can a tuturiol on umineko answer arcs visual novel ?
Somehow, I can't use the installer due to having the games from SteamUnlocked/Windows7, and manual installation leaves me with a black screen and no sound on launch... 'Frustrating.
wait you got the game from steam correct and not pirated? If so try deleting all the files and unistall the game and redownload again and repeat.

I'm trying to update my Umineko game but it still hasn't changed anything even when I downloaded the patches. I can't auto-install, so I can only manual install.

@@Herox897 I got the voices and the better graphics in the game but I can’t activate the ADV.
@@CrystalTigerclaw I'm not to sure about what to do on that. Manual installation can be very annoying since if one file misses up, you have to delete everything and try again. I would suggest doing that try deleting everything and reinstall. Another solution is that you probably changed the style, you can change it by pressing f1 it should change between all 3 styles.

I have a question since you played visuals so I’m trying to get this 18+ patch and you have to extract the contents of both archives when I unzip it it only allows me to extract it into the same folder some people say extract it into Your install folder is that supposed to be my system drive? Idk
Sorry for the late response press your windows button and search for the game and then right click and look for "file's original location" and just drop the archives there and extract

You download it the same way. Just go to the umineko tab in 07th mod website

There is something wrong with the mod if you uninstall and in the future you want to play it again?
are you saying that something will go wrong if you uninstall the mod? well to be sure create another separate save file for the mod in case you delete it so if you want to play the regular version and you do decide to redownload the mod your save will be there
@@Herox897 I was referring to if you uninstall the game, and I have already checked xD.
I had to reinstall the mod again because the screen was black.

No it works for all launchers gog, manga gamer, and steam

- does the 07th mod work for pirated copies of the games?
- what's the total size of all the mods?

1. I'm not to sure if it works on pirated copies of the games, I assume that you can maybe try the auto installer, if that doesn't work try the manual installation.
2. Usually from what I remember they are usually like 4 to like 5 gb in total for all the mods.
It worked on absolutely all my... ehem, randomly collected copies of both Higurashi and Umineko *except* Matsuribayashi
If you're interested you can find the Matsuribayashi-hen in ryuugames and it's already fully patched
for the first question, i just downloaded umineko from steamunlocked and downloaded the mod and it works fine so far.
So looks like I need to have atleast 20GB of storage for all 7th moded chapters damn

just got Umineko Question and Answer arc on steam and both should have 4 chapters, right? then id have to stop after i finish a chapter and then do this process again, but i click on the the next chapter? Cant i install all at once for the two games individually?
Yes, you have to do this for every chapter from what I know. For Umineko I'm not sure since it's basically just two games and all the chapters are in one you only have to do it twice
