If you really think about it, we only got 1 arc with an actual regular Ninja mission before it went exam/tournament for a while, into evil enemy attacks, into Sasuke going emo and running away for power, at least as far as main party acts are concerned. There was, of course, the Tsunade arc, but, overall, very short. Part 1 definitely needed like, at least 3 more arcs similar to Zabuza. But I guess there may have been some influence from how manga like Yu Yu Hakusho progressed where all of the regular job arcs were the least popular and they "just wanted to get to the good stuff". At least that's what it feels like to me. Which is kinda sad, cause the land of waves was one of the best arcs in the series. More missions like that. Or at least a couple chapters dedicated to the progress of the other genin teams would've gone a long way. Maybe another big mission arc with team 7 or maybe team 7 and another team would've been good to have before the Sasuke retrieval arc.
I’m honestly glad this match never happened. Especially for the American audience. Westerners move to argue amongst themselves. No matter who won to many people would have been unhappy.

I've been thinking this ever since i watched the full series, part 1 was my favorite part but i wish they had more missions together before Sasuke escapes the village. Another fight we never had was Rock Lee vs Neji, which i feel like was such a wasted opportunity because they are supposedly rivals. I would also had loved if Sasuke had more interactions with other characters, you know. In my opinion his departure from team 7 would have been way more effective if Sasuke had a bigger connection with the village (including his team and the other characters) maybe having a couple of arcs with Sasuke teaming up with characters like Shikamaru, Rock Lee, Neji and Naruto, etc. That's one of the things i would change in Naruto's progression, i would make Sasuke had a stronger connection with the characters instead of showing him as totally apathetic for them. He can still be introvert of closed but show he cares for them.
Neji would have won, if it was real. At this point, Sasuke's strongest trick was the chidori, his speed, and the taijutsu he copied from Lee. All of which Neji could counter. Naruto only won because he has soooo much freaking chakra to spare.

Byakugan is so much colder in my opinion, at least compared to 3 tomoe Sharingan. Especially during the Neji vs Hinata fight in p1, the gentle fists clashing was cold asl

Wind Jutsu only make Fire Jutsu stronger. That's why people are mad. It wouldn't have dispelled Fire Ball Jutsu, it would've made it worse for Neji himself.

According to the Uchiha, Hyuga members have cut through fireballs with Jyuken alone. So - it doesn't have to be Kuusho. It could be the regular Gentle Fist. And it wouldn't be unrealistic either because Neji broke through Kisame's Water Prison later.

Meanwhile a regular gentle palm could only disperse the fire (and probably would need the Hyuuga guy to emit chakra through his skin pores so the fire wouldn't hurt his skin at any rate) and thus would require more caution. AND is a medium/long range technique, by the way. But regardless of all that, these were nowhere near my point, as I simply pointed out an anachronism.
I really liked the amount of movement in every shot. I have the feeling a lot of fan animators do not actually animate but just draw one drawing and then put effects over it. So great job in my opinion.
It would have been so much more fitting for sasuke to fight Neji. Seeing the battle of dojutsus would have been so cool. What would have been even more fitting would be Naruto Vs Gaara. Imagine how scared Gaara would have been from seeing Narutos nine tails chakra up close. He was already a little frightened from seeing a glimpse of it from Naruto fighting Neji.
the problem is that Sasuke's growth conditions relied on Lee, who couldn't beat Neji with the abilities Sasuke copied (speed + 1st gate/Primary Lotus). The chidori wouldn't help here either cause you can see it a mile away. Neji already has the best reflexes, so giving him time to prepare for the cidori is wild. Sasuke isn't a master of it yet like in Shippuden
Niiiice, knew how to balance this animation masterfully. Even though the drawing is visibly lower resolution and frames. The movements and smoothness and dynamic camera makes up for it and blends all together to give a whole overall effect. Not to mention the great details with the winds and particles and that beautifully drawn and colored fire just like the manga.
This is sick as FIREEEE. Especially the logic behind the movements. Apart from Neji using Air-palm which he doesn't have this is pretty much perfect. I made a short trailer movie about the match-up myself and love the contrast and similarity between urs and mine. U got a sub my guy

It probably would have been good if the Hyuga had taken in saske after he lost his family. They are really the only 2 families with dojustu. Even though both are different they the Sharingan and Byakugan still share some similarities. That said i doubt the Hyugas would share their secrets with an Uchiha.

This would be a great What If scenario. This is the closest we’ll ever get to see of Rock Lee fighting his rival Neji because of this Sasuke copying his Taijutsu speed.
It’s amusing that Gai warned Neji about the Shidori, when he had no idea how Kakashi was training Sasuke. Moreover, Gai didn’t participate in Neji’s post-qualification training. Also, Kakashi did know Neji and would have likely trained Sasuke to defeat Neji. This implies that perhaps it wasn’t the Shidori or speed that Sasuke would have learned, but possibly Genjutsu. Regardless, the effort is appreciated and it was really fun to watch.
Byagukan > genjutsu, I don't remember who was it, itachi or shisui who tried genjutsu on a hyuga but failed so their last resort was shisui's mangekyo sharingan
Lee states he needs 3 gates to keep up Neji and 5 to beat him. He was able to blitz Gaara cause he was out of it having PTSD of his mom and Lee. Not mention Neji had an equal clash with Ninetails chakra. And the explosion of Naruto nine tail cloak and Neji rotation had a bigger blast than anything Sasuke could do at that time. Sasuke probably would do worse than tail beast cloak Naruto.

Shidori cannot pass the neji's spin defense. In Manga no one has ever broken the defense of the hyuga's spinning technique, not even Juubi. And Byakugan can basically sees everything in 360 degrees so it doesn't matter whether you are fast or not, neji can see you with his eyes and has enough reaction speed.

But unfornately for you, it is *that* much. The Hyuuga struggle at long-range combat and that was even proved more than once as their main weakness later, as Neji fought Kidoumaru and Hinata fought Pain (the times I can remember as of now).
So Neji's achievement with Hakke Kuushou really *is* of great importance not only to his but even to the Hyuuga clan's evolving as a whole. If he had used that in Chuunin Shiken at 13-14, Hiashi should go on and give up the clan's leadership to Neji, right away!

According to the Uchiha, Hyuga members have cut through fireballs with Jyuken alone. So - it doesn't have to be Kuusho. It could be the regular Gentle Fist. And it wouldn't be unrealistic either because Neji broke through Kisame's Water Prison later.
@@blackcoffeguzzler If it wasn't HK, then it wouldn't be as nearly as effective, since HK could pierce through the fireball and still hit Sasuke in one shot. Meanwhile a regular gentle palm could only disperse the fire (and probably would need the Hyuuga guy to emit chakra through his skin pores so the fire wouldn't hurt his skin at any rate) and thus would require more caution. AND is a medium/long range technique, by the way.
But regardless of all that, these were nowhere near my point, as I simply pointed out an anachronism.

I really liked the amount of movement in every shot. I have the feeling a lot of fan animators do not actually animate but just draw one drawing and then put effects over it. So great job in my opinion.
It would have been so much more fitting for sasuke to fight Neji. Seeing the battle of dojutsus would have been so cool.
What would have been even more fitting would be Naruto Vs Gaara. Imagine how scared Gaara would have been from seeing Narutos nine tails chakra up close. He was already a little frightened from seeing a glimpse of it from Naruto fighting Neji.

the problem is that Sasuke's growth conditions relied on Lee, who couldn't beat Neji with the abilities Sasuke copied (speed + 1st gate/Primary Lotus). The chidori wouldn't help here either cause you can see it a mile away. Neji already has the best reflexes, so giving him time to prepare for the cidori is wild. Sasuke isn't a master of it yet like in Shippuden
I just realized we didn't have any sharingan vs byakugan in the naruto series
Niiiice, knew how to balance this animation masterfully. Even though the drawing is visibly lower resolution and frames. The movements and smoothness and dynamic camera makes up for it and blends all together to give a whole overall effect. Not to mention the great details with the winds and particles and that beautifully drawn and colored fire just like the manga.

He didn’t use air palm he just cut the fire ball with a regular gental fist.

It probably would have been good if the Hyuga had taken in saske after he lost his family. They are really the only 2 families with dojustu. Even though both are different they the Sharingan and Byakugan still share some similarities. That said i doubt the Hyugas would share their secrets with an Uchiha.

It’s amusing that Gai warned Neji about the Shidori, when he had no idea how Kakashi was training Sasuke. Moreover, Gai didn’t participate in Neji’s post-qualification training. Also, Kakashi did know Neji and would have likely trained Sasuke to defeat Neji. This implies that perhaps it wasn’t the Shidori or speed that Sasuke would have learned, but possibly Genjutsu. Regardless, the effort is appreciated and it was really fun to watch.

Lee states he needs 3 gates to keep up Neji and 5 to beat him. He was able to blitz Gaara cause he was out of it having PTSD of his mom and Lee. Not mention Neji had an equal clash with Ninetails chakra. And the explosion of Naruto nine tail cloak and Neji rotation had a bigger blast than anything Sasuke could do at that time. Sasuke probably would do worse than tail beast cloak Naruto.
@Fernando-bj9bt Sasuke is moving weightless Lee and Neji routinely out speed and beats him. Sasuke isn't going to be fast enough to land that since he can't move at the speed of 2nd Gate Lee which is on par with Neji.

Neji isnt that fast as 2nd Gate Lee. He can react to that speed cause his Taijutsu Natural Skills, nothing more. He is not fast style fighter.
Then, naruto with kyubi chakra isnt that fast as Lee or Sasuke. But when he attacked, maybe cause plot, or maybe cause Neji was confused and dont think clearly by that seconds, he cannot create a properly rotation.
On the atypical case that Chidori clash with the incomplete rotation that Neji uses with naruto, neji lose.
And in case that Neji do the perfect rotation, but sasuke use chidori cursed mark, Neji lose too.
In other cases i think Neji would react like you say and won Mid diff

As It has already been stated by Lee that one needs a fast body speed to match his super speed, even with special eyes. It's not merely "TAIJUTSU SKILL AND NOTHING ELSE. which clearly makes no sense. Skills or precognition won't matter if one is too slow as you need to be able to move in response. Fernando apparently hasn't read the manga so one should take him back to the academi. He's likely just echoing others, but I'm here to connect people like him with the actual logical facts. If you ask him where he gets his information, he won't be able to tell you. Chidori cuts through chakra based attacks as well it’s like a blade I feel he would be able to go through his defenses easy probably would be a draw tbh

Sasuke is a lot stronger than Neji, as well as being much faster. He also can literally predict neji’s every move so I feel a taijutsu exchange between them would go more in sasukes favor. Although I’m not 100% on whether or not chidori is a instant win for sasuke.
Shidori cannot pass the neji's spin defense. In Manga no one has ever broken the defense of the hyuga's spinning technique, not even Juubi.
And Byakugan can basically sees everything in 360 degrees so it doesn't matter whether you are fast or not, neji can see you with his eyes and has enough reaction speed.
@@ihy2083 well there is that time Naruto stalemated neji’s rotation with a kunai lol. Based on this logic a chidori should be able to EASILY pierce through the rotation. Also there’s literally nothing that the chidori hasn’t been able to pierce. From condensed sand, bijuu cloaks, bijuu themselves, and even the raikages lighting cloak. It’s extremely unlikely that out of all of these overpowered abilities neji’s rotation is what negates the chidori lol.
Also the byukaguan doesn’t grant the user omnipotents. I’m not sure where you’re getting all this headcannon from. But if someone is too fast for neji to keep up with then he’s getting speed blitzed… His 360 degree vision is irrelevant if he’s not able to keep up. Even kaguya got blitzed by sakura with 360 degree vision. So no, neji isn’t just magically reacting to everything that’s not how the byakugan works. Neji still needs to be able to track his opponents movements AS WELL as being fast enough to react to them.
But rock Lee easily beat him? While neji always beat lee

Shouldn't Neji at least be faster than 2nd Gate Lotus Lee since it takes the 3rd gate plus the Hidden lotus to overcome prelims Neji? (Hidden Lotus is a speed amp on top of the 3rd gate btw) which a lot of people don't know. Then we have the fact that Neji has better precog and faster eyes with feats like tracking Hidden lotus alongside 3T Kakashi. Sasuke's best if tracking 1tailed Gaara who got tracked by Base Naruto and SAKURA , same Sakura who can't even perceive the hidden lotus. Then we have the fact that Sasuke w/o his sharingan used weightless lee elevl speed to dodge something as fast as his own chidori. Lmao i can continue but u should get the point.
