Farage Stung By His Own Politics?
Vložit

- Nigel Farage has alleged that a private firm that he contracted a service out to has not done the job they were paid for. He now claims that he will take legal action, and maybe even involve the police. So, in one stroke, Farage is claiming to be stung by outsourcing, something he approves of, and wants to be able to take advantage of consumer rights, something he disapproves of. Irony much?

I have asked this on several anti Tory anti Reform channels on numerous occasions and with the exception of one person who said he intended to spoil his vote I have had zero answers.
BTW for what its worth I will be voting for Reform
@@jmw-qt2ih well, you're using an obvious throwaway account, quite newly minted too. Can't blame people for not wanting to engage with such a dubious account. Good luck with Reform. But I almost want to see what 5 years of (you) living under Farage would look like. You see, I live half a world away so I don't get to suffer the consequences in most universes.
Who could have predicted that it would be so hard to find reform candidates who aren't a bunch of Nazis?
Tice is saying they promised much and delivered nothing.
So like Brexit then.
If only brexit had delivered 'nothing', then it'd not have wrecked the future of our young, totalled any reputation for reliability the UK possessed, wiped billions of our net worth, further damaged an already battered NHS, normalised outright lying in UK politics (I mean in Parliament.... they've always been less than generous with actual truth where the mugs who vote for 'em are concerned), reinvigorated some truly vile old bigots and fascists ... there's more, much more, but that seems like enough reasons to treat farage, tice and RefUK like the pariahs they truly are.

Farage is a portmanteau of Far-right & Rage.

A politician complaining someone made promises then didn't deliver? Really???
I quible about him actually being a politician. He only squeezed into the EU Parliament by PR and never did a day's work there.
Only decided to enter the election when his pal Trump was found guilty and the big money job disappeared. So is hoping to settle for £92k plus expenses and the fruits of any dodgy dealings he can get involved in.

Reform UK is a company, so it is a business to business transaction, no consumer rights are involved.
not so, most of the Sale of Goods Act and the Supply of Goods and Services Act still applies to business-to-business contracts.
@@alecrintoul3727 True, but I would argue that they aren't consumer rights in this case but part of the contract between the two businesses.

He’s totally full of it. A few days ago he said it was because the general election got called so
Quickly. His latest excuse is total BS.
As a business owner, you have to take the consequences for the actions or inactions of your sub-contractors. And that’s why you do due diligence beforehand.
Due dilignce isn't a strong suit of the Conservatives, and Farage is a conservative, whether he is currently actually in the party or not just now.
The general election was called quickly, but it was going to happen fairly soon anyway.
Never trust a tory and reform never vote for believe reform or a tory
Anyone feeling sorry for Froggy Farage? No? Didn't think so!
It's hardly a surprise that a party platforming only the most toxic views can't get a contract with a company that values its reputation.
Not that Farage or his sycophants will appreciate the hypocrisy and irony of all this. Hope you are on long term mend, Phil.
if this is what the party does with their own money imagine what they would do with the public purse. actually shameful

If it's the same company that vetted the Brexit party candidates I'm not surprised
Oh dear how sad, never mind.
Racism is a feature of reform and probably what a candidate for them has to be.
Farage also claimed that firm was needed as checking on facebook for who his candidates like or follow was too difficult
Luckily they have consumer rights...
Remember when Brexit was needed to make Parliament sovereign "again." And now they want to bin it. I'm shocked.
Too many people believed that the result would be a total Route of the Tories. Too many people believed that "everyone" else would vote. Fnarr! Now that's a word I haven't seen in a long time. Pity coz it expresses exactly what it should.
The next question to farage should be "you cannot even select properly vetted candidates and admit to having incompently wasted £150K by paying a company to do it, how can you be trusted with the counties budget?"
I worked in IT for over 30 years and saw a number of cases of IT departments being outsourced. Your description of the problems of outsourcing are pretty much spot on. Longer term, staff turnover in the provider of the outsourced service is also a problem, with new arrivals constantly having to be trained on the systems they support
"You can't con a conman.." Nigel Farage when looking for advisors, to tell him which of his own personal friends are Nat C's, at £144.000 a pop.
Wow the conman gets conned, can't get any better than this
Farage could gurn for Britain
SO great! Mind you, the fee was a huge red flag. There is no way that serious vetting could have been carried out for more than a handful of candidates for that.
I guess they opted for the lowest bidder. How many organisations have been similarly shafted by corner-cutting private subcontractors?
If they are standing in around 600 seats then £144k,000 equates to £240 per candidate. Exactly what quality of service did he expect for that?
You miss the point these *are* the vetted candidates after the crazies (by their standards) were removed ;)
It just gets better. The company was a vetting platform where the client paid to use it for them to carry out the vetting themselves. It says on their website that this is the service they offer, they only offer the tools for you to do your own vetting. Farage, Tice & Reform Ltd did not bother to read the small print or ask about the terms and conditions.
"£144,000"....that can't be right..the Tories paid...£1,0000000000000000000000000000000000000 to some start up to check if doorbells were working..
😂

Damn wish I'd done the vetting £144,000 and it seems the vetting company did nothing
He's not the worst man in British politics. Johnson, Gove and Rees-Mogg hold those positions, though for different reasons. And he can't hold a candle to Trump: arguably the vilest carbon-based lifeform in the solar system. But he still makes me sick.
You would have to have a heart made of stone not to laugh! Carry on carrying on Phil.
The irony is strong here.
When it becomes obvious what you are voting for, there are no excuses for abject idiocy.
I believe the phrase 'Hoisted by his own petard' fits the bill quite nicely.
He’s coming across in this election as being furious with himself and the Brexit he once claimed would solve the nation’s ills. Beyond odd.
Not banging on about his Coutts bank account or difficulties getting his rolls serviced.
Farage Plc. Vetting company failure-it’s always someone else to blame not the people the brand attracts.
Phil, good to hear you sounding like your old self.
I actually agree with Fartage, up to a point, I agree that all privately owned businesses should be allowed to succeed or fail by their own merits with a single penny of public money being used to support them in any way, but I also think that all public services, those being services that we can all use such as the NHS, utilities, transport, education etc should be 100% publicly owned and run not for profit.
Easy target, but you potted it very neatly and lucidly.
Oh dear, how sad, never mind!😂
It will turn out to be a company who do checks for employers, a basic credit check and criminal record check. Most of these company's don't do social media checks. However I have no idea if that is what has happened here.
Considering it only cost £144k, to vet almost 500 people, I'm guessing social media posts wasn't covered in the contract.
Wonder if any of the were unemployed?
“Mates with the leader of the NBU”. CZcams then cut to an advert for 1984. 😂
Imagine setting up a company just to get the contract from Reform UK and then screwing up the vetting process on purpose...
On the other hand, if you're billing per candidate, and many candidates will be _very_ easy to find issue with, you could bill them for many many thousands of candidates very quickly!
(or until they run out of candidates, which may be more likely)
always the victim
So the Privately Educated Multimillionaires and Billionaires Party (Reform) got stung by one of their own kind? Karma is a bitch, esp for a Grifter.
Only £144,000? The tories ‘invested’ up to £37 billion (they have yet to produce any accounting) on outsourcing a covid test, track and trace system / app. Nothing was ever delivered.
Two great arguments for not outsourcing.
Exactly the arguments put forward against Compulsory Competitive Tendering under Thatcher. Dogma versus objectivity!
Perhaps the problem is defining what makes someone unsuitable as Reform UK candidate ?
As an ex MHS employee I can attest that outsourcing is a very bad idea. it's really just a way of dodging the responsibility and only considered by managers who are not invested in the service. Obviously those managers were poorly selected, suggesting the problem is further up the ladder and probably indicates rot at the top.
"CHEAP BRAS!!!!!!"
Phil! You continue to excel and amaze! Very well done indeed sir!👏
I read a tweet so you know not an authoritive source that the produce actually bought was in effect database access and search facilities so Reform had a collated portal to DO THEIR OWN vetting on, not commisioning the contractor to carry out the checks
That is hilarious.
Your voice is sounding much less raspy, Phil, I hope this means you're feeling better!
It's amazing how these clowns stay around for so many years, even decades. The same thing goes on here in the US.
Maybe he can take his Case to the Européenne Court 😂😂😂😂☘️🤔🤠.
It strikes me that £144000 is not a lot to vet hundreds of candidates.
Farage got grifted?
