I could give a big hug to whomever made this video, it's the best I've seen so far on this subject. Plus, I've never seen a modern or US incorporated version of this building idea before. So very cool. Thank You so very much. That made my morning much better.
Ancient tech is awesome sometimes.
Something they used to do in India. In the state of Rajasthan there is a desert and lack of rain. They used to build water tight terrace and attach pipes so that the rain that fell on the terrace can be stored in an underground tank. Then they also build rooms next to this tank which will be cooled...
In back country in viet nam they use very big trees surrounding and overhead of s.all villages
USA has many areas where that could be applied instead of electric air conditioning. Passive cooling saves a lot of energy for other uses.
Swamp coolers are quite common in arid climates like Arizona and modern models can be bought at any hardware store. Works terribly in Florida or Texas though.
A few houses here in Wilmington NC are designed like this. They were built in the 19th century and are tourist attractions now.
So how does this work in the central Midwest? I've heard these structures do not work in heavy-freeze regions (either).
Great video. The ancestors of all peoples had their special skills unequalled today. This is a fine example.
These principles should be applied in Phoenix AZ
The buildings in Iran are fantastic. Wow. Would love to learn more about this type of cooling.
Funny how we think we are more dwveloped than 100 yrs ago and here we see a cooling system that works with the environment and not disturbing nor polluting it. What a great invention
Excuse the typo 😅
Thanks, Welcome Aboard, for creating & sharing this video🕊
I love Iran! I can’t wait for this pandemic to end to return. Nothing to compare with it..
Wow, My best friend, I liked the video very much, thanks you for sharing, stay safe, stay blessed
Thank you nice video
Congratulations for that video,
Romuald, 🇫🇷
Moreover, we can construct underground chamber to cool the air coming from the wind catcher and also a water delivery system. It is common in Islamic areas.
we have underground water canals in the city of Marrakech passing under the city neighborhoods from centries ago but unfortunatly no buildings to make air fresh air in houses as in your cities like YAZD a city which is as hot as MARRAKECH .
If you are interested in this, then you should also look for and is available. The Wind-catchers of Medieval Cairo and its Secrets.
thanks , very informative.
functional and beautiful, we can only look to the past to see this, modern designers love the ugly and metal unfortunately. Our ancestors were so intelligent in comparison.
Wow, My best friend, Thank you for your hard work in making the video. I enjoyed the good video. Have a happy day.
Please do a video on air wells! Great educational video! Thanks!😃👍💛
i love you're voice sm 🥰
Very cool!
Yyyaaaaaazzzd!!
Super interesting video. Thank you very much. Looking forward to see this ventilation systems to be developed here in south Spain were the temperatures are increasingly rising.
Spain it self has quite rich architectural history I bet if you look around you can find some ingenious way archtects both of the islamic era and christian era in spain had developed to keep their buildings cool
Persian innovation in the past and present has been acknowledged by modern day academia
Very detail very interesting and Like Very Much. Just 1 request can you do a tear down on both measurement and sub-pipping co-work with wind tower. I will go pay a visit to Zion National Park Visitor Center again. Thank You
What is the coolest degree drop during maximum outside heat?
thank you, very very very helpful .
Very good information This kind of things tell how advanced civilisation was in Pirsia centries and sentries ago .
Best regards to Irqn from Marrakech in the south of Morocco
Useful in arid, low humidity locations, but will find a way back into more mainstay technology. More of less energy usage is a bonus.
is there literature about what you well describe in this video ? thx! very helpfull
Dream of visiting of Parsia, not possible at the moment, may be after 50 years. Salute to great architects.
A pity about the lengthy ad.
Wow,very interesting,, i am confused, in Bangladesh, this architecture will work or not... Can you give me an idea?
probably not because it has high humidity. this needs a dry climate
How to implement in todays building?
I would like my new home to have a solar chimney for dual purpose, heating and cooling but don't know where too look for info on how tall/wide/deep it should be for small two stories house.
I am constructing a two floors house, I want implement natural cooling wind tower, can anyone provide me details
Sharana
Where does the building located?
I was thinking of eventually making a forge with a wind catcher for essentially a free billows
can wind towers be applied on taller multi storied buildings?
Definitely... The main issue is how they're built out of materials that can burn at ambient conditions if certain accelerants are involved...and the associated chimney effects would be problematic.
That said... There's probably multiple ways they could manage to work around those issues.🤔
Impressive!
what's the function of the sticks on the wind tower?
yeah i keep seeing it a lot. not sure how it helps lol
The sticks may help to prevent the birds to settle on wind tower and especially to poop on it - at least this is the solution across mediterranean that works very well on towers. ☺
EYE-RAN?
It would have been nice to learn some new information on the subject. If you really want to do "dramatic readings" of the Wikipedia page, put it in the title and save us all some time
Similar architecture in Morocco
Why after all the other effort would you not check the pronunciation of key words? I assume the one was meant to be "coanda" but you had to have jumbled the letters around to get your garbled version.
It frustrates me no end how these technologies/innovations lie in plain site in our Muslim countries but westerners are always the ones who discover them 😒
Fucked up if Roman’s invented them
Shame about the ' English ' American is not English. apart from that very interesting
I came here for genshin impact but wtf is this
?
Passive cooling.
His voice sounds lazy
😴
The narrator is mighty annoying. ☹
Too bad, this looks interesting but it's not loud enough to follow.
