$2000 when this video was made, double that price now. Unreal.
Expect all the safes to continue to go up in Price. John
Just got my Revere 64 from Tractor Supply for 1699.00 Essentially the same safe with some minor material adjustments.
I just bought a Colonial 50 for $2861 including tax. Beautiful safe!
@@Greg-Hatman wher did you buy yours ?

Wonderful looking safe
Yes, thank you, and it's even better in person, thank you for watching, John
Safe is on sale for $1999 now
Why do they emphasise the features like accessory pockets etc rather than the physical features like the thickness of steel in the box, and the door. Looks are important, but I want to know that my guns are secure from theft and accessories aren’t going to help.
Thats what I'm looking for! HOW THICK IS THE STEEL ON THAT DOOR!
Because he's just a salesman
Some customers don't know how the UL rating system works. This safe is a UL tested RSC level "1" rated safe. Any ins. "B" rate ( Body under 1/2" and Door under 1" door made from A36 steel ) can go in for the test, Most all home and gun safes are "B" rates yet only about 12% are able to pass the RSC test. Safe manufactures who flunk the UL tests will safe will brag "look how thick my steel is" but don't mention its vulnerabilities. If you want a stronger safe You may want to go to a UL "RSC level 2", need stronger, let us know. We have 32 different ratings, we have your safe..
@@DeanSafe from my understanding the UL rating is just for entry threw the door and not the "tin foil" sides that will get cut by a grinder or circular saw.

Most safes in this price range are a 12 gauge steel. At least this safe is the thicker 11 gauge steel.
Same safe as the tractor supply 1776 series and cabelas signature series, except theirs has higher fire rating and better shelving
Remember this video was shot years ago. The current version has many improvements including a 75 minute fire rating.
@@DeanSafe current version is 12g though.... I bought one today.... delivered in 2 weeks. still a great safe at a decent price.
Yeah Now it's 3 Grand!
Inflation takes its toll, next year it's going up again. Thanks for watching, John
@@DeanSafe and if Wages can't keep pace,Eventually prices will come back down!,Because if No one can afford to buy one,but Rich People, there won't be enough Sales to keep the Business going!
Hate how the made in the USA isn't center about the key pad lol. Absolutely drives me nuts!
You’re not alone. Thanks for watching
How does the Fatboy jr extreme compare? Same thing ?
Same safe, just different dimensions:
Fatboy Jr is; 60.5”h x 42”w x 25”d, and the Co-50 is; 72.5”h x 42”w x 30.5”d
Thanks for watching,John
@@DeanSafe my fat boy jr extreme looks so intimidating in my living room..i put it here on purpose as a focal point..a thing of beauty..granite grey with a dial lock with lock out key...i love it..760 pds of love..lol.
I am glad they did what they have with the sizes, clearly they have done their homework on door sizes and have maximized something for everyone
I'd like to have one. But nearly 5 grand now thanks a lot Joe Biden.
I'd still get one, but I want this moved to the basement and I don't think my basement stairs would be able to support the weight of this safe, moving equipment and workers. I'd beat my staircase would cave in.
Anyone have any recommendations to know how much weight your staircase can hold?
I do know that it changes from region to region. In Los Angeles I am told each step needs to support 660 pounds. But good safe movers in this area get 2500 pound up the stairs without issues. Thank you for watching, John
Saw a guy breakk into the safe electronic lock with a magnet 🧲 in 3 second
Yes that was a sentry safe. it was not a UL rated lock it was an inexpensive solenoid type, whole different ballgame. Almost always sold as big box stores etc.
Hoping mine isn't so easy 2014 rhino metals 15cu/ft, electronic keypad
