Thank you for the video! I lived in Kitwe during the 80's and 90's when my dad got a job in ZCCM and we moved there from Asia. Growing up in Zambia was one of the greatest things to happen to me. Even though we left Zambia in 1995, I will remember my time fondly and cherish all the wonderful memories I had of the Zambian people, the wildlife and the country. It was so sad to hear Zambia Airways stopped after having travelled on the airline so many times while we lived there. I remember flying to Kasaba Bay on the HS 748 and then we used to always drive from Kitwe to catch the ATR 42 to Lusaka before boarding the DC-10 to London. I'm so happy to see the airline is back. I wish my fellow Zambians all the best and hope this joint venture with Ethiopian will be fruitful and you will rise again once more!

Glad to see ZA back. Looking forward to the international flights as well. When we lived in Zambia (Mufulira) each time we travelled to the UK on holiday my husband preferred Zambian Airways to British Airways. So lovely and exciting to watch! God Bless Mother Zambia and thank you for the video!

Nice to see Zambia Airways which we used to calll QZ back in the air. Reminds me of the days in the 1980s flying in the QZ ATR 42 & the 737. PF did a lot of bad things but this is one good legacy we’ll thank PF for deciding to implement it. It’s good too that the UPND/New Dawn government has not abandoned this PF project. Well done ZA & thanks to Ethiopian Airlines for their support to see the project take off. Thanks to you too for for promoting it. A nation needs its own airline to develop even if it means means having the private sector own more shares.

They should introduce it to solwezi too coz some of us stay in kabompo, when going to Lusaka it's hectic coz the journey is so long, from kabompo to solwezi it's 6hrs,from solwezi to Lusaka 11hrs it's tiresome, atleast u can travel 6hrs then from solwezi u board a plane to lusaka

Aren't there any flights to London now, I flew from there to UK in 1973?
@@nolavout9094 since the late 90's there has been no direct flights. There are many via Dubai, Ethiopia, Rwanda and Kenya and a few with 2 or 3 stops. What used to de an 8 hour flight is about 15 hours at best.
