And while recent updates such as the Minecraft 1.17 change to spectral arrows and jungle doors are great, there still are some tiny tweaks that go unnoticed. So today, let's take a look at what the community has found and fixed in this list of 31 small texture changes Mojang should add to Minecraft. To tell apart melon and pumpkin, press "select block" (by default there is no button for it so make sure to go into the option menu first) while you have the seeds in your inventory.

the enchanted book thing is literally the best idea ever; same goes for the banner pattern.
I also think the pumpkin/melon plant is great, and the dye retextures, and the helmet one!
i really think they at least should have an option to change the panoramas in the title screen to previous ones at least

The reason the sunflowers shouldn’t be variated and face different directions is bc irl sunflowers always face the sun, and being realistic is (not really) important to the devs
As I understand it younger sunflowers will follow the sun over the course of the day, but when the flower matures it will stay just facing east. So the version that's in the game is totally realistic in the regard.

Mojang says that "taming dogs is too modern" but then allows for domestic cats.
Well they fixed that somewhat by separating ocelots and cats from each other. Now the explanation is that villagers domesticated them, and they were not domesticated instantly by steve.

Putting the pitch on the note blocks would be a nice option. I like a keyboard GUI for it to (I think that quark has that).
A shield or banner mount similar to how item frames display maps would be nice. Banners wafting in the wind are nice, but it can be annoying if you have a bunch of them and/or you just want to see the pattern.
Imagine that bookshelf had a small storage system to actually have book in them, it was a small change but I really want it in the game
It would be a neat way to hide loot in strongholds and woodland mansions

Yeah, like it would also change it's look. If it had a quarter of books it would be quarter full. If it was half filled books it would be half full and so on and so forth.
While it changes it appearance
it would be awesome if you could just craft a "shelf", and you could put stuff into it and all, and if you put books into it, it changes gradually to the current texture, and so you would use the same number of books you use to craft it, but you could write on them or take them to use elsewhere and stuff, and that would be so so cool to hide written books without your friends knowing
Im fine with almost all of these changes and feel that they can help the game in their own way. However, the bottom texture of the loom better never be changed becuase damn does it make a good ceiling.
@Jackson L Well I havn't played minecraft in a while so if they changed it dang. But I don't get the point of changing a texture you'll never normally see unless your using the block in a certain way.
I agree, but with crafting tables, i like the aesthetic of a crafting table someone who dont live in ur house, cant find because it blends in, but eh, if they change it then oh well
I feel like only the pumpkin and melon bottom textures should be changed.
I kinda want them to leave the bottom of the crafting table oak planks too bc I hid a bunch in the ceiling of my crafting room using that and to fix that would completely mess that illusion up lol

For the boats, it makes some sense on bedrock edition since you need a wooden shovel to craft it there and all wooden tools are the same type. I definitely agree with the change though!

The problem with book sprites… is how would multiple enchantments work on a book. At that point, it would be easier just to look through them.
They could cycle through all of enchantments or be layered at each other!

@@alidoesstuff1960 not really though it's just a if and or system If this color display this if this and this Display this its just alot of Copying and Pasteing of the Texture and Name codes which may take a decent amount of time but isn't actually too hard or it could go off of what is the Highest Level enchant and if there are two the highest level what the Primary/First enchant is so the Priority would be Highest Level > If same level then First Enchant

The “stitches” in the texture rendering and the randomised textures are already in optifine (the first one is called antialiasing i think) and the second one is available as a toggleable feature in optifine

A lot of stuff already fixed with vanilla tweaks or other texture packs (in fact most shown ARE vanilla tweaks). Not sure if you can indicate different enchants though, but that is a good idea.

I'd love to see a fire aspect sword with a flaming blade, looting with emeralds (Lvl 3 has three emeralds) sharp 5 with a shiny edge (like the strength icon) and I don't really know about mending and Unbreaking

I think most of the redstone suggestions could be added into a "Info Block" that will give out information of a connected redstone element.
It could show either the noteblock details or the strength of incoming redstone as a target block indicator or container. readout with a comparator,.

When it comes to the wolves they don't have to come in different colors. My idea is when breeding your tamed wolves they have a chance of becoming one of these colors or "breeds" which would make more sense and be interesting

7:37 That would likely be very difficult for Mojang. It would need an overhaul of how the game handles food particles. Currently, it takes a random area of the texture and uses that as the particle. Replacing it so that it acts as if you were drinking it would be much easier.
Especially For Java Its very hard in the language
I think they can remove the eating particles for soups only. We don't need accurate particles, just remove them and leave it to sound effects and moving bowl up and down

Vanilla tweaks fixed that issue with no problem. It's just a simple texturepack.

The connected textures should be, if not already done by now, working with logs in 2x2 trees so it looks like one giant log instead of 4 normal 1x1 logs in it.

@@MiScusi69 It makes a redstone signal and can act as a security system. If you place a line of redstone under the “output” side of an observer and line it up to noteblocks, bells, and lights, it can be a pretty cool security system.

The durability reminds me of the Legends Mod, because when your armor is low, it has a “battle damage” texture
I use a texture pack for 1.16 that makes fire aspect swords have a fire texture, but netherrite with it has blue fire

it would be cool if minecraft added a warped wart in reference to the warped wart block. It could make like potions which are unobtainable in survival like luck, haste etc

10:15 I actually ended up making my own ancient debris texture tweak bc it was so hard to tell the difference sometimes. Well, turns out, it’s easier to see it amongst netherack when it has a bright magenta outline lmaooo

I have good news for you on the dogs..
I loved all of them but the ones about the textures on the bottoms of blocks because I sometimes use those blocks as roofs so that’s a reason to not change the bottoms of blocks. (No hate, love your channel)
