    This is absolutely insane. I remember in the first AC1 gameplay ever shown it showed the player manually vaulting.

    Now we just a mod that fixes the throwing knives on Altaïr's model between chapters (normally you need to restart the game to get the throwing knives to visually appear on Altaïr after he gets a new upgrade) and some tweaks to stability and AC1 is golden.

    THIS IS AMAZING!!! AC1 is one of my favourite games to parkour in, and these additions are absolutely fantastic, especially the vaulting ones! Did you develop this!?

    OMG Dude this is amazing. Please tell me you planning on doing the kenway games too. Especially 3 it could really use the help. Regardless amazing work i can't believe Mirage's parkour mod starting this trend revisiting the older games too. Stunning work

      Yup, Jintohaku's work for Mirage directly inspired me to get into modding AC myself. Not planning on any more modding work, sorry. Although my Disable Air Tackle AC4 mod has a couple of these features in it.

    After downloading the mod is it possible to activate/deactivate what we want specifically? Like the main thing I want is manual vaults so is it possible to just activate that without activating the rest of the mods here?

      That's actually how it's designed to be used! Since this uses Cheat Engine, you can set up custom (hold) hotkeys to get your own manual vault button for example. You would hold the button to activate the script before you do the action (before running forward to a vaultable obstacle, before a jump etc.)
      The only exception is the Ledge Stop Removal, that will be permanent since it modifies the game files.

    Looks like a less polished version of the ac unity parkour. Did you make this yourself? Cuz that’s a pretty good and complex parkour engine, I can imagine it wasn’t easy to replicate on such an old game. Truly impressive

    Is it possible to extract animations from early AC games? I saw the mod of AC2 with Vaults enabled, or does it simply use the vault animation already there (exiting from wells)?

      You can export animations from AC games for your own use, but can't import them back in to the games (this may be possible one day).
      Yes the vault functionality was always there just not available as an action that you can input for.

      Thank you Jin, it is your willingness to help and explain CE stuff from the beginning that ultimately led to this.
      As far as you question, I would say yes and no.
      Player coord hacks do work, but for example what determines the destination of swings and eject (and other stuff) from the player position aren't seperate, the same function gets called for both. They also don't look similar, there's less references to fixed values, like how your very first ac mod (eject height) modified a value ref. Things get determined at different points as well, like the landing, it gets determined near landing rather than at the jump like you said for Valhalla/Mirage. The method to get the desired effect is pretty much the same though, naturally since it's all assembly. Just changing the conditional jmps or the condition themselves.
      Also they aren't any labels like InAir /Airborne etc. like Unity and later.
      I would say it's slightly harder for me due to lack of labels and more code being shared between different parkour stuff (finding the vaulting check code took me a long time, because I was too focused on what gets called exclusively by the vault, failing to realize the freestep check and vault check is part of the same function which makes sense now) but at least it's easier to scan for stuff, as they aren't billions of values.

      Interesting. I guess they separated the functions over time to allow for more modifiers that don't interfere with other things. I was trying to find a way to enable catch ledge during any kind of leap in mirage, but I'm having a hard time find code that links those two functions together. But I'll keep looking. Also yeah it seems that modern games tend to have a crap ton more code to sift through. Some times my hard drive gets close to the red because of all the scan results.@@RandomClipsofGaming

      That will be a difficult task, the catch ledge function is probably only called during freejumps. Did you test if a breakpoint on your magnetic hands function pauses the game during a targeted jump?

      @@MrZarbon991 So your magnetic hands func could be just about the parameters of the catch ledge. The check for whether to activate catch ledge must be happening before that. Hard to say if it'll be in the break and trace window of magnetic hands or somewhere else entirely.
      I would check the in air free jump func, increase the trace count and uncheck all the step over checkboxes. That way I could see how it leads to your magnetics hands parameters func being called. If you find it somewhere there, then it could be just about recreating those conditions where that call structure occurs, but for the target jump func.
      Ah what am I saying, you're more familiar with all this.

    so ac 1 already has parkour down by pressing b or circle during parkour movements and pressing it right after the jump and it targets a landign point the cameras aimed at just out of curiousity does that disable that system for the new parkour down or would it just give me more options and animations alot of these manual animations exist already they are just a little complicated to force altair to do im curious and asking if these are those same animations simplified o r others

      You can enable and disable stuff as you please, you don't miss anything by having the mod. Except allowing running off of unsafe ledges (1:07), that change will be permanent if you choose to install that. (its a separate thing)
      Also for your other question, these are the same actions/animations, just made more available for the user to use.

    It’s weird on the manual vault I did that by accident and spent a hour trying to spam the buttons to try and vault. They really took so much away movement wise it’s hard to say the movement is any good nowadays like in syndicate they removed manual jump all together.

      Triggering vaults in the base game can be hard even when you know how to do them. It's really the amount of inputs you have to be pressing at the same and right time.
      And yeah they really haven't been on the right track with movement for a long time.

      A good idea, however I did not think of that while creating this mod unfortunately. It's likely possible. But I don't know when I'll get back to modding again.

    Extremely cool mod though I gotta say Eject Up looks very off and unrealistic, I can see it even breaking the game. Running up the wall and ejecting in opposite direction worked well enough.

    I got manual vault to work but how does eject up and down work also swing up and down was a miss for me

      Make sure the value or script is active before you initiate the jump, that goes for everything in the mod.
      Ejects up/down should work from handhold to handhold that are close by, like the narrow space situation in the video.
      If you're missing or colliding with something, then the values will need to be adjusted (increase or decrease) to account for that situation. However a side effect would be that you might start missing in other situations with that value. Unfortunately the only solution for now is to set multiple hotkeys with different values for different situations.

      If you're referring to the Parkour Downs of this video, you could bind it to B but you would still have to press A anyway to perform the downwards jump.
      If you're referring to vaults, the first vault in this video can be done without pressing the jump button, so if you set vault on B then you just have to hold RT + Forward + B to vault over the short obstacle.

    Hey so whenever I try to do the moves you do they don’t work. in the cheat engine it shows they are working (I press manual vault and the X goes in the box for example). I also press the button to enable parkour mode and it makes me punch when I try to vault. Please help!

    Hi, I tinkered with AC1 with Ghidra but couldn't mod the thing that really ruin AC1, the "tutorials". Can you please create a mod to disable ALL the tutorials i.e. "Glitches" "Free Step" "Wall Running" "The Bureau entrance is on the roof" messages

      The bureau one is especially notorious.
      There might be a toggle hud mod out there. Someone must've had the same idea in 16 years.
      Those type of mods usually change something in the DirectX of the game.

      @@RandomClipsofGaming Thank you for replying, I even got so far as to unpack forge files to locate where the game calls this tutorials and although I found the files responsible for this I couldn't disable them. Worst part is when you are fighting a group of enemies and a tutorial pop ups telling you that you need to hold the attack button in order to perform a strong attack while taking half of your screen at the same time

      Try this, it might work, but its only for the Dx9 version of the game, and requires turning off secure boot (which is why I didn't bother with this) because it uses Gedosato. Gedosato itself will return an error while installing, you can find a fix for it on the PCGW.

      @@RandomClipsofGaming Well, thank you, it disables the entire HUD, even some menus that are necessary but I think its a good compromise, especially if you can toggle it on the fly, the need to disable "secure boot" is a concern though, sadly there are no more updates to GeDoSaTo to fix it

      Are you sure you're using the Dx10 version of the game?
      Also where does the game originate from? This was made with the Steam version, I've heard the GOG version is also the same as that. Not too sure about the Ubisoft Connect one.

      You could only vault from while already on a beam or beam-like object("NSO"). Also if you jumped and landed on a ledge first, then you could vault on the next object.
      Only since AC3 do we have vaults that you can do from just a standing position, like the very first clip of this video.
      I suppose I could've called this "more contexts to vault mod" instead, not great with naming things. What would you have called it?

      Funny you say that, that's one of the first things I tried to do with AnvilToolKit. AC1 has some exclusive crouch animations that don't exist in AC2.
      You could swap the normal walking and waiting animations with them, but then you'll be permanently crouched.
      No idea how a crouching mod would work though, until we can either figure out how to swap specific animations on the fly, or maybe find some leftover code to crouch (if it even exists).

    i know i am asking to much but can you make a co op mod for this game
