Making a Custom Chess Set (Pt. 1)

- Hey guys! Today I am finally doing the project that some of you have been begging me to do for YEARS. I'm going to create a completely custom chess set. I am starting this week by sculpting some additions onto the wooden pieces using some air dry clay. Stay tuned until next week to see the painting and decorating stage of this very long process.

Hey! my name is Moriah (pronounced muh-rye-yuh 😂 ) and this is my channel....obviously. I'm 28 and like doing anything creative...and being snarky.....just a lil. I make a lot of decorating, painting and general art videos here. I'm obsessed with editing and adding lil bits to my videos, so if that's not your thing....oof you may hate this haha. I paint on squishies, thrift store finds, and other random things I pick up. I also love to draw, but don't expect anything too skilled, I'm not the best at that haha. You will also find occasional crafting/testing crafting kits on my channel which are always a hot mess. And even some baking (REALLY bad at that, but it's fun to try).

Moriah is a great example to me and my sister of how putting your all into your art is the best you can do, even though it might not be exactly how you expected it to turn out.
I appreciate how she took this route of fixing squishys and other stuff suffering from pain and disgust
Let’s just take a second to remember the fact that Moriah is currently taking care of a toddler, pregnant, and answering our aggressive demands.

Definitely nothing “slightly” about dozens upon dozens of comments every week not even addressing the actual content she made, but just demanding demanding demanding. This is just incredible. The way you respond and actually do some of these HIGHLY ambitious demands is so admirable! You are so hardworking and your work ethic is an inspiration to not just art but work of any kind. The way you didn't want to sculpt the pieces (understandably) but then went out of your way to sculpt additional details anyway; the way you bought like 5 sets to get the perfect matches; the way you sketched everything beforehand even though that must've taken hours alone. I hope to reach your level of commitment, creativity and resilience someday -- it's a true talent Moriah!
