100% authentic Utah names. We searched far and wide for the latest and greatest in Utah's naming trends, and we were not disappointed... Follow us! @mormongirlssay
Somewhere in Utah, right now, there's a preggos couple watching the world news, and they think Brexit is a good name.
Brexin is nice. Frozen Kitten channel has a son named Brexan (or something like that). They named him before all the Brexit stuff going on in the news. Love the name as I posted above. Call him Brex or Brexy. Unique in a good way. :)
Please dont breed
Sam Easton it is
'Brexit'! LOL It's funny 'cause it's true.
You are very attractive, Sam. This black man digs Mormon women. Go, Atlanta, GA!!
I didn't realize they were the same two girls until halfway through. I was just looking at the names
+McGby128 same
McGby128 Same! I seriously thought they were all different people.
It took longer than that for me to realize it!
Orphan Black could never
I'm guilty of the same.
As a Mormon, it's scary how many of these names I recognize... I would never name my children any of these
Wow tats kinda rude but u know typical utahn name is randy and tats my name ps I know how to spell that I use tat to put my irish accent in to typing
Yoo same
Rude. Kaeyleigh and Braedynn are beautiful names.
My name is Accident and I'm the youngest of 23 children.
ROFLOL! That was awesome.
(one year later) My name is Condom Baby and I'm the youngest of 24 children.
allen greg +1 more year: "My name is Botched Vasectomy, and I'm the youngest of 25 children."
23?
allen greg lmao
I'm from Utah and I have zero problems laughing at this.
I am from Utah and unless the Mormon church can get out of politics I think they should all move to Iowa.
Being from Utah, I came here gearing up for a real good laugh and then to my horror discovered that my name was on this list TWICE. F.
I'm from Utah and I'm sad to say this is 100% true. I've met girls who dress like that, have names like that, and yes, are in families with 10+ siblings. but good job. this is so accurate it's scary.
From a religion so prudish you wouldn't expect them to have hooker names
+Bob Jenkins Maybe Mormonism is where all the name coiners in the porn industry get their inspiration from...
I moved to Utah 2 years ago from California (Sacramento), and I was born and raised in Brooklyn,NY and lived in Texas and Florida...
And Utah is one of the nicest strangest places I have ever lived.
These are the things I've noticed about Utah:
- Everyone is nice, but its like everyone is nice and keeping a secert.
- Most people's names (male and female) has something to do with the wilderness, farming, or raising animals(cattle).
- I'm a black male.....I can feel the stares from people in Utah... especially when me and my white wife walks into anywhere.
- When I say "bye" to someone, they will ALWAYS...at ALL TIMES say "see yaaa!". I have never ever heard anyone say that on goodbyes in any other state. Usually other states say "have a good day/night", "Bye-bye", "Drive safe", or anything else.
The "See yaaaa!" is driving me crazy!😱
Think that's about it...for now....
@@bobjenkins643 I live in Las Vegas NV and half these names sound like ghetto strippers lol
yeeee fellow hoomin from utah
I live in Utah and PERSONALLY know people with 20 of these names
Same
Well i used to live in utah
Rainie and Stormy bring a whole new meaning to "thank you for the moisture"
My brother's current girlfriend is named ReAliti. As in "reality." I couldn't believe she wasn't LDS when I met her, but now she is so it all worked out I guess.
Just like Grimes' song lol
How to remove your name off LDS records-www.utlm.org/newsletters/no64.htm#FOOLING%20THE%20CHURCH
Weird thing is that it's not unique to members of the church. Utah has it's own culture outside of the church.
Heard of "Abcde"? 🤦 czcams.com/video/eP1w7D17XEg/video.html
My name is ostieohpurohses and I am a PROUD Mormon-I take pride in my name because my mother named me after the angel that took my father, bless his heart🙏🏽❤️😔
Katya’sRatEarring lmao
I'm from rural Utah, this video made me laugh so hard. Especially the rexburg thing at the end. 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
What's the deal with Rexburg? She said it so deadpan 😅
This is so funny. I laughed so loud my pets looked at me weird then went to sleep again. 🤣
Non-Mormon with many mormon friends (Army) These ladies do a great job.
go Army!
As a Utahn I don’t know how to spell names the traditional way anymore because these names are so common
I love that one girl's increasing hair height/teasing. So true...
"Oldest of *11* children"
Yup definitely Utah
So I'm not Mormon but I raise butterflies as a hobby, and every so often I get one that's unreleasable (problems with the wings or something). This year we've been giving our stay-at-home butterflies Utah names. Since I post on some butterfly-related online groups, everyone on there has seen our butterflies' wacky names as well as your videos. You guys have brought joy to thousands of people thanks to these videos ;) Please post more!
(Now that I've just adopted 7 more handicapped butterflies from a friend who also raises...I'm thinking they are all going to get "Mc" names with excessive Ks/Ys/Zs. lol)
Got the Spanish Fork accent right on!
And the Panguitch and the Hurricane accent.
This reminds my of my all-time favorite Mormon name: I met a girl at Church in Driggs, Idaho whose name was pronounced "ab-si-dee," spelled...wait for it...Abcde.
These names went by too fast for me to write them down for my potential future children. I know there's a pause button. But I only have TWO HANDS! And I'm right-handed, so I can't click pause AND write names!
Eh, just make something up. Someone, somewhere, will believe it's really a name.
Coming from Utah and living there for over 14 years this is all extremely accurate
For a moment, I seriously thought the two girls in this video were my cousins Madyson and McKinlee, I kid you not.
I live in Utah and my siblings and I are all BR. I'm Breah, my older sister is Brittany, and we have six younger brothers. Brennon, Bridger, Brady, Bryce, Brigham, Bruce. If I was to have another sister her name was going to be Brylee.
Hahahaha right?! XD
Do all mormons have tons of siblings
Not nearly as many as you may think but quite a few. It also depends on your definition of "tons of siblings" is XD
like 5 or more
Not all, there are plenty of families I know of that have 4 or less but a huge chunk have at least 5.
Great video. I loved the wild hair styles. Thanks for adding so many names to my list of bad names kids are saddled with. I've got 14 pages so fair with four rows per page. Just the first names. I have another collection of funny and stupid first names that go with the last name, like "Harry Aenus". Real name. No joke. LOL.
Mine is Chiavan... Im a Mormon... i completely agree!!!
Is it pronounced Kia Van?

Shove-von?
THIS IS TRUE! Oh my gosh! Haha I live in Utah & my name is Taylee!
Oh man, I lived in Utah for 24 years and this is hilariously accurate.
Taelorre I'm done 😂😂 I live in Utah and this is too true 😂
Well, my name is Dararith, and living in Utah, I can confirm this
haha! Yeah, I hate to break it to you, but in my company we have clients from all over the country, and some of their names! Wow. One of our operators commented on the unique spelling of one child's name, and the mother very casually said, "Oh, you like that? That's how the nurse spelled it when the baby was born. I can't read." It's been very interesting.
Some of the names are interesting not in their spelling, but in how many clients we have with the same name, like Precious, Queen or Princess.
I think the Utah names are great. 8-)
You know the name Mark Hofmann? www.utlm.org/newsletters/no64.htm#FOOLING%20THE%20CHURCH
FUNNIEST VIDEO EVER!!! Nothing more honest than self-deprecation
This is so funny. I check the paper every week to see what names parents come up with for their newborns. My favorite so far Saige Jailey.
Gotta give them props for changing up their hairstyles, clothing, and accents. Must've taken them forever to film this
I'm from utah and I'm catholic and its so common for everyone, Mormon or not, to give their kids crazy names. Kind of fun to meet someone's new baby and see what name they gave him or her. Always in for a good surprise.
Those spellings kind of made my head hurt - it was like a parade of typos. It must be really frustrating for people to spell their names in really uncommon ways.
Hey - here's something I've heard recently:
"The need for new and different given names [in Utah] resulted from the practice of plural marriage. Since the progeny tended to share a common surname, it became necessary to invent ever more original first names. Otherwise, life in the provinces assumed a depressingly monotonous flavor-witness the case of Jens Jensen, born and buried in Jensen, Utah."
My dad's account but my name is Vincent pronouce V I n s e n t
I live in Texas and I'm Mormon but before I was born my family lived in utah. I am the youngest of 5 children, my brother creytn is 24 my sister cecilyn is 21 my next sister corynne 19 and my sister caitryan (kay-tree-ann) 15 and my name is camdyn 13 we all have the same first and last anitial, cc but our middle anitial are different except of me and my sister caitryan. haha I love my family.😂😀
Lol at your prole parents
They created 5 names out of the letters: creytnilorad. I imagine them playing around and being creative with a set of 12 scrabble letters.
It's kind of fascinating how they are unique yet similar. I guess it is intentional?
I'm from Utah. My name is actually Lehi. Most kids I grew up with had fairly normal names. It's true that many large families have patterns for naming their children, such as with the letter B or J.
Hahaha! I laughed so hard when the last person said they were from Rexburg! There are some seriously different names up there...
Rexburg native here 🤣 this is wonderful
Yeah, they've got some strange names going on there in Utah. Brexin (male) is my favorite though. I cant swear that is how it's spelled, but they call him Brexy and have a daughter Hazy, which are really nice names. They seem to use "Z" and X a lot in Utah.
OMG TEARS! Funniest thing I've seen in a minute.
I love the BUH hair on the girl too. (Big Utah Hair)
TOO funny!
you know youve loved in utah a while when most of these seem pretty normal...
I laughed at the "Breyannin" as it is pronounced exactly like my name...
Shahrzaud, sounds like charizard and I am for real dying that anyone would name their kid that
I think its a different way of spelling "sheherazade", narrator of 1001 nights.
My sisters name is Kinsley and my aunts name is Raygan😂 We're from Utah explains a lot
when black people make up names or create unique spellings, we're called "ghetto". Guess it's okay for other people though. Weird.
+Akinyele O. That's because they name themselves bonekeesha shanaynay laqueefa tyreeka starkeesha sharkeesha and watermelondrea.
+Akinyele O. That being said, how can you begin to make that assumption? I'm not saying that African Americans haven't struggled due to prejudice, but how can you assume to have personally had it worse than everyone else in society just because they don't have black skin? What's more, why is it so hurtful to you that others might face similar stigmas even if the consequences aren't as severe? If anything, I would expect someone like you to be understanding and sympathetic to others who face discrimination, not offended that anyone would mention them because your people have generally had it worse.
***** You completely missed the point of my comment. In fact, you do realize that you made the EXACT SAME point my comment made right? If you were to have actually read my comment carefully, you would realize that I wasn't saying that this kind of racism doesn't exist or isn't a serious problem. What I was taking issue with was how silly it was to take offense at the idea that someone from a different group might have faced similar discrimination. In the society we live in, it is considered insensitive (if not outright racist) for a white person to comment on racism especially if they are suggesting that it was not as bad as it has been made out. I just find it hypocritical for these same people to then turn around and belittle/take offense at the suffering of another group just because they assume that its "not as bad as we have it".

You never heard of Reality Winner?
I love how this is filmed in a church.
So was Farr's Ice Cream.
When I am at the playground I hear the name Kayden come from like 5 different mothers' mouths and Emma come from like 5 others.
Oh My Heck I love you girls - I lived in Idaho Falls, ID for a year (I'm a native New Yorker) and it was an experience I will never forget. You too are hysterical and spot on. Please make more of these videos.
Very interesting! If you want another strange name group, try looking up Icelandic names. We don't even have surnames!
One of the elders who used to teach me has a sister named Kamri.
I am from Utah to.My name is Nation
A former missionary at my church had a brother named Nation. It was his father's middle name.
You know the name Mark Hofmann? www.utlm.org/newsletters/no64.htm#FOOLING%20THE%20CHURCH
Some names from my relatives: Verlyn, Verla, Darvel, Valyn, Elva... we had a lot of "V"s.
We have so many gorgeous women here in Utah. Try coming to Dixie University in St George and you will see what I'm talking about. Or BYU in Provo. And fyi my name is just Jordan. But in true Utah style I was named that because Jesus was baptized in the jordan river...
yeah except they are mormon so you can't smash
Lol at least your not named after the most famous brand of moter cycle. (My name is harlee and I'm from salt lake) 😂😂😂
He was baptized in river jordan in Egypt not Jordan river(jordan river is in utah named after the river Jordan) Kinda confusing huh.
I attended school in Cedar City. Guys I knew were named Skelton, Doyle, Asmond, Brewer, Trayson, and Ford.
I will say that Mormon names are different. But i'm pretty sure there are weird names everywhere. In NZ we have names you wouldn't hear anywhere else like Tama, Tane, Aroha, Ataahua. Just like in Asia how Muhammad is common and in latin america Julio and Sergio. It's a place thing I think. Utah is a Mormon state so it inherently becomes a Mormon thing.
Are most of the names in NZ that you listed common to the Mauri though? Here in Utah it seems to be a matter of pride to try and take common names like Chastity or Abigail and spell them uniquely. Plus you're talking about a state that named one of it's towns Tooele.
Yes those names are mostly for the Maori. A lot of it is about taking pride in the name also. And some people do spell the names weird on purpose to sound fancy. Don't get what's wrong with Tooele, maybe it's an American thing. "Accident, Coupon, Chicken, Cut & Shoot, Experiment and Fertile" are all names of cities in USA.
Hahaha this was awesome! I like how her hair got bigger and bigger
I have 2 that I would like to submit, because I live in utah (I am not LDS) the 2 I have heard one is a boy name one is a girl name ok here they are: Awestin PRONOUNCED Austin AND Heaven-Leigh PRONOUNCED Heavenly
You know the name Mark Hofmann? www.utlm.org/newsletters/no64.htm#FOOLING%20THE%20CHURCH
Fun fact. There are only two women in all of Utah.
I'm a Utahn, yeah my name's Alyxus (pronounced Alexis)
I live in Utah and I didn't know that some of the names on the list were weird because I know so many people with them
I think this is one of the funniest videos I've every seen.
I'm a doctor in an urgent care center in Southern Utah, hence I see hundreds of new patients every week. Only a third are LDS - and they also have kids with unusual names and very odd spellings. So I doubt its either a Utah or a Mormon thing. Hater's gonna hate, ya know.
Thank you for that riveting feedback. Your intelligent input is appreciated and well received. In the future I will lie about where I am from.
As a 20-year-old white straight male, I never thought I'd be triggered.
2:09 I thought she said her name was Charizard!!
I live in Utah (although I'm not Mormon) my daughter is named Brinleigh lol
I was just in Panguitch, spent the night there. Woke up to irrigation sprinklers with ice sickles on them. Zion and Bryce and Panguitch lake, Highway 12, what a road!
My daughter is a character in the Monty Python Australian philosophy department sketch.
"Your name's not Kylie? That's apt to cause a bit of confusion. "
Classic! Sadly, this list of names could go on and on...
I'm a Utahn, the accuracy of this pains me 😂
As a writer living just between SLC and Rexburg, I can testify to the creative spellings. It’s because of this that if I sign a book even for someone with a name that sounds as simple as Grace, I will always ask for the spelling. I cannot rule out the possibility of an I, Y, S, H, apostrophe, or the third letter capitalized. Or if it’s a name as distinctive as Phoebe, I can’t assume the parents didn’t put Feebie on the birth certificate.
All jokes aside, it’s generally a good, culturally sensitive policy to not assume the spelling of someone’s name.
Be afraid. Be very afraid...
cant stop watching this video!! SOOOO funny lol
My name is Tacoma and I'm from South Jordan.
Toxiclyme
I heard the Utah was nice.
Tacoma is a city in WA state.
Tacoma is a city in WA state.
I have been there!!!
This is another level up from adding the letter e to everything
South Towne
More videos please.
Pretty please!
this was funny. IDK any home grown Utahans but My Sisters Wives on TLC reminds me of these names.
I am from Weber County Utah and i have to say I am proud to be Mormon
I don't know which to be more amused by, the creative names, or the girl with the hair that is slowly taking over!
Is it typical for the women to dress like that there or are you guys dressed like that for effect? No offense but they are wearing clothes my 80 year old Aunt would wear.
Unnecessarily covered shoulders, t-shirts under dresses, shirts over dresses...Mormon women seem to have trouble dressing themselves. They should take a cue from Mormon men and just dress like normal people of their gender, rather than letting religious pressure dictate their fashion choices.
Apostasy there is no reason not to be modist
Joy Kruman Explain to me how bare shoulders is immodest. Also, explain to me why women should be responsible for men's lust in any way, shape, or form.
Apostasy
Travel a bit and see how in other countries and cultures, religions people are not allowed to enter into a church with bare shoulders. This is not a new idea in religion. go to Italy, Spain, Greece, just travel and learn so you understand more about other religions and you will see the Mormon religion is not "strange" but in keeping with many religions' ideas. "Also, explain to me why women should be responsible for men's lust in any way, shape, or form." If I walk down the street naked and men are lusting after me and I walk down the street modestly dressed and no one is lusting after me, that will explain to you how women are responsible for men's lust. Because men are about the visual first. they get excited about what they see. Women are excited about what they hear, this is why they need to go by actions not by what they hear because men will say what they need to say to get approval from a women to do anything. Men get approval to do anything depending on what the woman wears. If she wears close to nothing it means, "I am here for you baby," If she covers up she it means to a man, "Nope, I am not for play." She wants a commitment. And she is smart to do that. Make sense?
No only Mormons they're idiots on Navajo and they thing I wear to revealing clothes like wtf I was born in Utah too
I saw my name and that's never happened before!!! :D
There the same fucking person.
This made me laugh so hard I almost passed out.
HAHAHA I love this. I live in Utah and have seen some of the craziest names. I know of a girl named Duvae (yes, like the bed cover).
Oh my god.. the shirt under a tank top!! 😄😄 That is such a Mormon thing!!
Funny. Love the Ting Tings song in the background.
These woman are awesome you shouldn't never let your woman pride go down at least they not fame they alot better those hiphop girls out east these kind woman i'm looking for in near future sweet old fashion types it's very rare find woman like this.
This is what happens to innocent kids when 19 - 22 yr old girls have their own babies.
+fruitofthejoot I think you meant 15-18 year olds.
22 year olds can be perfectly good parents, me mate is 25 his fiance is 21 they both have pretty damn good jobs, bought a house, and have a baby on the way...
I know that, my own parents had me at 21 and 25 but I'm referring to bad names. Anyone that isn't a teenager should know better than to saddle a kid with these names that other kids will surely tease them over and look ridiculous on a job resume.
fruitofthejoot Well, in Belgium there was a couple, in there 30's.. There surname was "pot" (same meaning in English) and they named their daughter "bloem" this is a perfectly fine dutch name, however, bloem means "flower"..... Needless to say, the government flat out told them you cannot call your child flower pot, what do you want? Get her bullied to death?
Lol.
