- In this video I unbox a Sebo Duo carpet cleaning machine and demonstrate it on a dirty hall carpet. Although this machine did make a difference to the stains, I did repeat the process over the dirtiest area after filming the video.
The DUO system comprises a brushing machine, the DUO, and carpet cleaning powder, DUO-P. The DUO brushing machine features twin contra-rotating brushes which open up the carpet pile and work the DUO-P carpet cleaning powder deep into the pile and around every fibre.
With the dopple, two standard duo machines can be linked together to create a 70cm (28") machine.
SEBO DUO-P Cleaning Powder is made up of highly absorbent micro-sponges which contain advanced cleaning agents. By brushing the DUO-P into the stain the cleaning agents break down the soiling which is then absorbed into the micro-sponges. Once dry the DUO-P can simply be vacuumed away.
Tested and approved by Woolsafe, DUO-P Cleaning Powder has a built-in fibre protector to help prevent re-soiling.

Fantastic and comprehensive review 🙌 Really demonstrates the cleaning power and effectiveness of the DUO machine. 😊
I've always found the Duo system really interesting. Thanks for another great video 😊
Love watching your videos. Your carpets must be like here we go again 😅
I like Sebo
Same I have a sebo hoover
@@otamatoneworld2159 An oxymoron if ever there was one! Is it a SEBO or a Hoover?! 😃
Shamefully we've never owned a Duo machine but in our youth we got to use a commercial Duo at our department store. That Duo machine clipped atop a metal tray with castor wheels allowing it to be easily moved around the store. The tray caught any loose powder that fell off the drying brushes. There were also a couple of Duo Daisy brushes for manual spot cleaning - think long handled brush with wheels.
We do love the Duo-P cleaning powder though we apply it with our old Vorwerk VTF 731. Duo-P has such a lovely fresh smell that's not too instrusive and treated carpet pile is revitalised becoming lovely and soft. We've tried Kobosan and Zorb but the Duo-P is our favourite.
We like to keep our Duo-P in a Sebo Clean Box and refill it from the bags when required. The small agitation brush handily stores on the Clean Box lid and because of the seal the powder keeps fresh for a long time if kept in a cool place.
Thank you Roger, we really enjoyed seeing this machine in action.
Awsome vid man keep up the good work!
EDITED: That actually did a fairly decent job. If that's how that performs maybe I should try my Kirby dry suds system during the colder Winter months here in Canada.
I am not really a fan of dry encapsulation carpet cleaning, even though I own a Kirby and would love to try it at some point, the Duo brush pictured here does the same kind of job in a less powerful, shorter life motor and ultimately inexpensive system similar to the counter-rotating brushes (CRB) used with carpet cleaning companies, and not just carpets but hard surfaces as well like tile and grout to agitate the pre-treatment into all nooks and crevices. The CRBs are also used dry to pull hair and other embedded soils up to the surface of rugs for the vacuum cleaner to easily reach them during the pre-vacuum phase. There are scenarios where this system would be better for some delicate rugs or mats that may become damaged in the regular hot water extraction process.
My other Sebo Duo model is over 20 years old and still going strong, so I wouldn’t call that a short life.
Hi, love the vids Roger will you be doing a in depth review of the Dyson 360 Vis-Nav? 😊
Makes me wonder how well Bissell got the carpet sweeper right, for companies to still be using the patents nearly 200 yrs later. This is a rather interesting little machine. Neither a vacuum, nor a sweeper, nor a shampooer. I'd probably just settle on calling it an "Agitator". I can see it being in use in a little bed and breakfast or small restaurant for keeping the carpets freshened up after cleaning and removing food stains.
The machine might also be useful for restoring fluffier piled carpet that’s been compacted from usage to bring the carpet back to life, correct me if I’m wrong.
You're thinking of a carpet groomer, like the attachments for the old Kirbys, or what commercial cleaning companies use to rake the pile up before steam cleaning it.
Thanks for the video.... really interesting, I can not afford the almost $1000.00 asking price in Australia but the stain remover powder would still be so useful. I see it is available in a box with the brush forming part of the lid, then just purchase refills.
Have you heard of a vacuum cleaner called Turtle Vac ?
I remember you using one from years ago.
Roger, can you please get the new Henry pet XL?
Please do reviews on dryers 😭
How does the Duo powder compare to Vanish carpet power ? I haven’t tired either but I’m interested to know.
