how often one needs to change the HEPA filter?
Loved the noise level analysis!
Glad you liked it!
Thanks for the review. I would like to have seen a review of the heating and cooling capabilities too.
Thank you for the very detailed video.
Pleasure!
That pun in the thumbnail made me cry tears of joy ;)
Haha glad I could bring a smile to your face :D
Superb review. Liked Subscribed
Thank you!
Can it purify and heat a large living area…like 1200-1500 square feet?
Just purchased this it's perfect for nice clean sleep knowing it's working and air is much cleaner I got it because we got bushfire back burning summer time so this will work perfect but if your looking for aircon don't use it
Thanks for sharing your experiences!
I’ve purchased a mere Dyson fan, the Dyson cool AM07, the one without air purifying function, so that the air flow is not reduced by the Hepa and carbon filter. It has 10 ventilation levels as well, but I normally use it until level 3. It is very, very quiet and for sure quieter than any fan that uses the air filters and hence needs more power to achieve the same degree of air ventilation. I've used it for 3 days now and am very satisfied with its performance combined with the unique sleek design.
Thanks for sharing, glad you're enjoying it!
@@TotallydubbedHD Thank you for your video that I've appreciated very much!
does it remove dust from a room?
@@standardprocedure7017 technically yes
Agreed. I also have the Am07. I’m going into my second summer with it and it’s great. Worth the money. Only need max level 3
I would love to get one of these fans some day. Having everything in one (cooling, heating, purifying, air monitoring) would be amazing
Thanks for sharing, hope you do!
I’ve bought it cool air is nothing special. If I was you go for cheapest version. Thank me later 😊
@@mini-wy7us Got one on an offer and I didn't buy the Formaldehyde. True there's not AC cooling but the very adjustable air movement is enough for me
Finally a reviewer remembered to lower the air quality to show us how it works!
Woop!
Yup I did the same with deodorant when I first got it and it picked it up
its because they can't sense smells, although It should have been able to pick up on the gas fumes.
Hi is there a button on the remote that let's you tilt the fan up and down or can that only be done manually?
That has to be done manually unfortunately!
One more question while it tilts and oscillates are you able to have it on whatever fan speed you want or whatever heat temperature you want?
Yes to both of those questions! :)
Isn't the function of the fans to circulate the air in the room so that you feel cooler compared to producing high amounts of air like the basic fan? Which in my experience have never circulated air, rather they hit you until you have to turn off
Guess you could argue that?
Hallo. Great video. I love Dyson products. Why are there different types of catalytic filters? I bought two Dyson purifiers. On TP09 it looks more metallic, and on HP09 it is very thin as a mesh of fabric and foam at the bottom. Is there a difference?
Thanks, glad you liked it!
As for your question, I can only presume it's to do with the particles they catch.
I didn't see a time stamp for the heater. couldn't find that information?
There wasn't much emphasis on the heater element, other than how much air it can push out, which would apply to both the fan and heater element.
Well, I have 2 Dyson’s and the reason the flow of air is lower compared to the blade fan.. because it doesn’t have to pull the air through a thick filter like the Dyson.. 🙄
All I care about is how effective it is on formaldehyde. I need to buy 3 for a new travel trailer I am buying. Don’t want us to get sick from formaldehyde which is high in RV trailers
Fair enough!
nice review. Is there any follow-up on its ability in filtering fuel exhaust? it seems dyson or other brand never highlight this particular part, so i guess we should understand that it doesn't work for this
Thanks! Nothing more to add other than what was mentioned tbh
@@TotallydubbedHD i watched the official presentation of it. They are very vague about its capacity in filtering gas, they actually said it could sense gas, but never said which one and neither if it could be filtered or purified...
@@adonisio1 guess that explains it! Thanks for sharing.
I saw that this fan that you just reviewed can tilt forwards and backwards and can oscillate while doing so, can the dyson purifier hot and cold do this aswell or is it just this model?
The regular variant, yes it should be able to!
I am verry allergic To pollen, bacteria, fungi, animal hair( cats and dogs). I have used this machine for several years now( without The formaldehyde function), over time I noticed that being in a cleaner surrounding over a longer time( when I sleep en my wake hours at home) my immuunsystem does not has to work so hard, it kindof Haeled me, and that helped me to reduse my dose of allgerypils( to non last year)and use of inhaler.
The Dyson also takes viruses out of The air. Working as a beauty therapist, I noticed that fumes like alcohol an other detergents are quickly removed. Also human gas( farts) is quickly removed.
A point in the heating function: The air in The room is being heated, withs gives you an Nice warm fealing in minutes.
Really glad it helps you that much! Thanks for sharing.
How often do you change the filter?
If I used the hot air does it used up lot electricity?
Most likely will do, but can't attest to it
I never knew about formaldehyde's until l I wanted an air purifier so I'll buy the cheaper one.
Fair enough, likewise!
Would you say the price difference between the formaldehyde and the regular hot & cool is justifiable? Around $200 for what?
Hard to answer that, as the only difference is that technology - FYI, from when I looked at it, the difference was $100.
@@TotallydubbedHD I feel like it has a very premium price. So, any price I can shave off is good for me :D I was wondering if there are any other major difference between the formaldehyde and the regular version other than the extra formaldehyde filter.
@@TBerq none that I know of, just that filter!
@@TotallydubbedHD Thanks. Will you be reviewing other products in this category any time soon?
@@TBerq potentially, nothing in the near future though!
Thanks just decided this is not what I need as my main need was for the fan cooling part.
No worries, glad I could help!
I got mine for heating…. The heating function is awesome!
Can it works well in a very large living room?
Did you watch the video?
@@TotallydubbedHD Yes but if it was there I probably missed it
I bought the top of the line and it did not work right out of the box. Dyson would not replace it but was willing to let me send it back for repairs. That was with their extended warranty.
Sorry to hear that!
I wish they could come up with some kind of technology so the fan actually gives cooled air like a AC
Yup, would be good
@@TotallydubbedHD is it not a good cooler? i was thinking of buying this for that reason
@@tendingtropic7778 same 😅
Silent heat pump maybe the next breakthrough needed.
Physically impossible to create coolness without creating heat.
no analysis of the heating aspects??
Because the heating is bad
@@926nining I’ve always heard the opposite that heating is great but the cooling as bad
This fan model is over two years old yet Dyson are still pushing it as “latest technology” 😂
Latest! Do you not know what that means?
@@learnmore266 Three year old technology is not the latest technology. Times have moved on grandpa but you keep championing Dyson 🤡
Why would you compare a air purifier to a fan? Dyson is an air purifier not a fan
Think you missed the point of the video.
@@TotallydubbedHD why you expect air to come out of an Air Purifier?, when it is actually not a fan
@@genaloop2270 It's both.
@@genaloop2270 it is a fan
Don't buy Dyson till they stop abusing their work force.
Blah blah blah
I bought Dyson today. 🤜
