Touring Thailand - The Many Options of Udon Thani

- In this episode we enjoy a day in Udon Thani and discover some of the many options for dining. We start by exploring a park after a breakfast buffet, then go in search of a local Isaan specialty at one of the markets. Vee gets her hair done at a new beauty shop and in the evening we try to decide which food venue most suits our needs from the many options available. We'll have a night cap at yet another complex and get ready for our next leg of the journey which will take us through three cities in as many days. Enjoy the Ride!

That food! Finally someone who understands the importance of food and tasting something everywhere you go. Tell Vee I said hello, please. Her hair came out nice and she looks great! Most importantly, I enjoy the deference and respect you show to the Thai people and the generosity you extend to all those in your sphere.
One of the things i like about Ride 4 KicKZ, is the voice over. Nice soft voice.
We are sitting in the south of France and watch your Issan tour every day at about 4pm after lunch... allows us to travel while having a nice glass... Perfect and educational... 👍😁

I'd also like to send a quick message to Vee, if I may. Granted, I'm a total stranger, and we've never met, but watching the current video containing her hair appointment prompted this post. I have to admit that I was shocked when the "reveal" showed the different hair color, and wondered to myself how she would react, That being said, I think her new color and style are simply wonderful, and she looks as elegant as always (perhaps more!) with this new look. I truly hope that she comes to like it as well.

Great vid Lucas. I think Vee’s hair came out nice. I’ve told my wife I prefer Thai natural cold black shiny color the best. And seems like after she goes back to her natural color.... maybe within a few weeks, she’s changing it again. My wife and her daughter are both hair stylist.

just to say I've lived in Thailand for some years and yes, Nong Prajak is one of my favourite places in the whole of the country. Beautiful park/lake to walk around and then dozens of bars/restaurants/massage parlours to chill out in when you're done

I lived in Khon Kaen for some years and visited Udon a few times - seems you nailed the main places (Nong Prajak park and the markets by the railway station) - next time recommend you pop down to the museum by Nong Prajak. Interesting history of the area. Cheers and well done on the vids

Udon is a great place to visit you captured it in an interesting way. Its a small world my hotel was almost next to were Vee had her hair done. I think the night complex you visited was called Nutty Park

Good viewing and spot on with your opinions, my Partner comes from Surin but we base ourselves in Udon, very relaxed, everything is there and an inexpensive City to live in, so many good Restaurants and Markets in Udon, safe travels 👍
You guys really eat well and I have to tell you watching you I've been eating more and must have gained 10 pounds. But the food I'm eating is not nearly as good as the real thing anyway thanks again keep them coming stay safe... From the US

They did a GREAT job with Vi's hair in my opinion and apparently others. Change can be a shock initially but it was for the better. Thai women always best with jet black hair. 👍
Nong Prachak Park (the lake with the big yellow ducks) is nice at sunset, if you ever head back that way.

Man, the amount of time I've spent bimbling around Nong Prajak park, getting massages in the cabins next to the bike hire. I'm watching this again because it's mid-May, and in Glasgow it's 12C.🙄

Nice Video! Udon is a bit more of an expat scene than Khon Kaen, as you can see by the nightlife. Also a bit cheaper and a little bit bigger. Khon Kaen is more poised for targeted growth in tech, logistics, and supply chain.
We'll have to put Udon Thani on our next trip list, it look like it has a lot to offer. Tell Vee her hair looks good, I know women are self conscious about it. Tell her we said, Sway Mark Mark.

the UD food court just got totally remodeled during the lock down. Actually, a lot of UD town got remodeled. they gutted most areas. But you made the right decision, I've sat at maybe the same table before many times. always a great meal in that area . smooth travels....
My wife is from Udon Thani and she tells me that the first dish that you called neam muu was in fact meang todd (neam muu is a type of cured pork which).
I have fond memories of Udon Thani and enjoyed the video. Could you tell me the name of the hotel where you stayed and also of the bar complex at the end.

You guys certainly like your food, I don't think I could eat more than 20% of that amount without bursting! Vee's hair looks great btw, 2 hours is nothing for a woman at the hairdressers!!

Nong Prajak park's excellent. The only thing that does my head in is the fact that the cycle path is the inside track, with the pedestrians on the outside. Makes no sense whatsover. The yellow apartments next to the hospital overlooking the park (south west corner) are 4,500 baht. Don't know what the noise is like late at night, though.
Nong Prajak park is a must-see every time I go to Udon. Great area
