I can't find any way to get it back as WhatsApp seems to have securely deleted everything from my device at the exact time of failure. Did you ever find any ways to get the missing folders to appear again, or any apps or software that was able to detect it again? This is a HUGE flaw with WhatsApp at the moment and I can't believe that they are letting it happen!

I think the administrator of the group and group members see you have a new phone number. Because you van block persons in your Whatsapp but not in Whatsapp groups.

If someone uses your sim card to use your previously used phone number on what's app, they could potentially do so. When I finally got a new phone I was able to restore every chat I had backed up before my old phone was stolen which was great! but nothing came through from messages that were being sent to me after it was stolen and was off. I think that this is a new design feature of WhatsApp unfortunately (whenever you uninstall the app or a transfer fails, it will automatically delete EVERYTHING). It's horrendous and I can't believe that they would program it to do this though! Were you ever able to get your data back somehow?

Yes but when you reinstall the app will groups be notified via “you’ve been added to the group (date)”. Can they see that on their end or only on my end? Because when I reinstalled WhatsApp, I chose not to backup my old chats/groups. If you tried to get into Guiness Book of World Records for fastest talker on CZcams you did accomplished that. I was surprised that I have bit rate high enough to transmit your fast talking. @@koala10ish I don't know if you have still the sim card with that old number. And the telephone you used while having that number. I had An old phone that crashed. Because i did not allow Whatsapp updates every day at that time in the cloud it became problematic to get acces to that old information. I would recommend to go to an internet shop or find someone who works in ICT who can help you.

Hey! If you have changed your phone number and you are trying to restore your backup, it won’t be executed. Only the backups performed under that number will be shown. The same goes if you change your email address abruptly, as the backup is stored in another email address.
Don't do any of what he is saying, you will certainly loose all of your data unless you have a backup on iCloud or your Android Phone, IOS and Android now warn you before confirming the Uninstalling process, but in some cases theres no warn... Look for another solution, but this is definitly not the right way to do it

BRo doesn't know how Android works! Just long press any app a bin icon will appear drag the icon to the bin, the app is deleted!

Don't do any of what he is saying, you will certainly loose all of your data unless you have a backup on iCloud or your Android Phone, IOS and Android now warn you before confirming the Uninstalling process, but in some cases theres no warn... Look for another solution, but this is definitly not the right way to do it
