I honestly miss the old fan theories of Chrysalis. The idea of her being the queen of a parasitic and dying race was really interesting, and it always felt like a cop-out to have the entire race be reformed in a few seconds. I always love the idea of changelings as a nation and it would have been nice to see the changelings and ponies come together without needing 1 race to completely up end their way of life.
Clever use of Luna's voice at the end. I get it. That's why Luna arrived late at the wedding reception. That would also explain the dark feathers at the end. Luna gave Chrysallis one last good dream, didn't she?

Chrysalis was turned to stone, and probably has no chance of redemption. It’s so sad, too, because she was probably the most redeemable of the three villains. Starlight gave her a chance and she just outright refused.
Maybe somehow, someday, Chrysalis will get another chance and will become the pony she wants to be.

I must say, this is WAY better without any spoken lyrics. It also impacts the viewer more deeply, in my opinion. I was crying by the end of it. I love this, and think it's one of the greatest Pony fan works of 2014. Cheers to ya!
if crysalis really would think like that in the show , then i would feel sorry for her , even if she wouldnt admit it . starlight glimmer had given her the chance to get redeemed and she refused , somehow its sad , but if you have lived for so long with those goals? i dont think you can be redeemed so easily as the show let us believe . best exsample of that is the not so deep trust from twilight in trixie and starlight after their redemption . and that is a good exsample to show the people the truth about our world . but it is not everywhere so . good spots are in existence , but we have to find them .never give up in hope you guys ;)
But even so i really Hope chrysalis isn't "just" Gina ne evil. Her whole Motivation to be evil for her was to serve the hive. I would think ist would be sad if she doesn't at least has a few regrets about her past and i really Hope this isn't just Donna be ignored next Season

This is the kind of thing that happens when you look at another's perspective. Sometimes it hurt's, sure a lot of the time it's irrational, but then you get ones that are people who need to do something and it hurts. Man... the ending is just sad. This brings me to something a loathe about living beings, and I hate to say I'm not too much better. People like to focus on the negatives, this can lead to people NEVER getting a second chance, even though they may want to try again. If they keep repeating said "mistakes" over and over, yes they need to be dealt with. You can't progress if you focus on past mistakes. This is honestly why we need to have the changelings back, it could give that lesson. If they run out of ideas this should honestly be a topic at one point, it could've been used with Discord, but it wasn't. Queen Chrysalis and the changelings are becoming fan favorites as time progresses, they might get back eventually (I hope).
Blue the Shield well, we had one changeling in the 100th episode. Maybe that's a hint?
Well I think I saw that after I posted that comment. The thing about that though is that it's not as focused as I'd want. I may just be thinking wishfully, but I feel there could be a bigger moral.

Please don't do that. If you can't feel feelings then you can't be happy either, and you deserve to be happy. The down side of being happy is that to be happy you'll have to go through sadness. That's okay though. It always balances itself out. So keep your chin up, and feel feelings. Good and bad.

This is something stupid but while I was listening to this music I came up with all some of these lyrics. I worked hard on the story.
Nobody is likely to see this, so it shouldn't be too bad , but I hope whoever does see this, ends up liking it ^^
The story would be about a "evil" noble girl who is alone after being manipulated by her father and lover into being this way. She sings this song inside her jail cell just before she is called for her execution. She is singing about how she wishes she was someone else. And wishes she hadn't been manipulated into being evil. How because she was seen as the bad guy she lost everything and in the end finally gave up. At the end of the song, she was taken from her jail cell to be executed.

If I didn't have enough on my writing list already, I'd write a story based on this, where Chrysalis abandons her memories as a Changeling Queen and adopts a permanent disguise as an ordinary pony. But she can't hide from her true nature forever, and the weaknesses of her disguise make themselves known, a group of changelings learns of her existence and becomes determined to bring her back into the Hive...
So, this is a spellcheck and a singer from being one of the best pmv's out there.

I don't think Chrysalis was being evil just because she could, or because she simply was, but mostly because she and her underlings were starving to death. They feed on love, and there wasn't any of that in their home land. Chrysalis was so hungry, she didn't think that disguising herself as a pony would feed her better than trying to take over and force people to love her and her people.
