How can not one be proud to be observing such a stirring change of command ceremony of such a long-term combined command of forces defending North America so successfully for so many years.

Wasn't he reading from a script. Seems highly unusual to me to hear a military general speaking in support of a North American Union. Maybe I'm old fashioned...because it also seems weird that the US Secretary of Defense would be defining the military strategy for the conquest of the Middle East. I have to ask...Is it because the new general, with a mans haircut, is wearing high heel shoes?

Since when does EVERY member receive honors? Since the outgoing Navy commander wanted to use the convoluted Navy standards. The highest member ONLY receives honors, except in the complicated Navy's regs. Colors, are you serious? Did anyone read any D&C manual? Ever? Present Arms before the colors enter? In joint service situation, Army takes precedence. Period. Embarrassing. Snare player, since when is a two-finger press roll standard technique?

Carter and Dunford , waving flags , attending ceremonies , and making war . What an exiting life , how will those two buggers be remembered , what have they achieved that adds value to the World ? I don't know , so someone please tell me . I must admitthose "salutes" are screamers , they could end up with serious medical ailments .

"the Sikh" as you so condescendingly call him is the Minister of National Defence of Canada. He is a retired LCol and a vet of 3 tours in Afghanistan and one in Bosnia. As a civilian, he does not salute. Notice the US Sec Def did not salute, but, you don't make fun of him or his faith.
