Chief Secretary Radha Raturi has announced new travel Guidelines for Chardham, Kedarnath Yatra. Government has banned the use of mobile phones within a 200-meter radius of the revered pilgrimage sites of Kedarnath, Badrinath, Yamunotri, and Gangotri Dham. Urging pilgrims to register themselves and their vehicles before embarking on the journey, she emphasized that unregistered travelers will not be permitted to proceed further. In a proactive measure to facilitate pilgrims, authorities are ensuring adequate provisions of water, food, and rest at various stoppages along the Chardham routes. This move comes as a response to the increasing trend of tourists engaging in video making at these religious sites, prompting the government to take action to preserve the sanctity of the pilgrimage experience.
