    Amazing job dude!
    Once they told me that: "there are no bad models, only bad modellers" If we put will and dedication into it, the result will always be beautiful, like your example... Great job👍

      Thank you very much!
      I really appreciate your kind words, there's definitely models that are harder to build than others, the rest is for the Modeler to understand their limits and what are they capable of.

    Stunning! I picked one up in my local hobby store a few weeks back, held it in my hand contemplated life, then put it back on the shelf. After building the F-117 and watching your amazing work, along with the scratchbuilding which I love to do, I'm going to go back and add this dragonlady to my stash. Love your work!

    Great job, especially on all the detail work in the cockpit and rescribing the whole kit. Very creative use of blue tac on the ejection seat and instrument panel coaming! Thanks.

    Awesome job! Rescribing panel lines on older kits sure is a lot of work but it really paid off on this one. You nailed the paint job on this one too. Black is really hard to do and make it not look like a toy. Amazing! Thanks for sharing :)

    Great job! I really like your techniques for painting a black aircraft. I am going to try this on an F4U-5N that I have.

    This looks like an incredible kit to build for sure! I mean, okay it has its bad side but the same applied for the Revell SR71, I read way too many hate comments on that one but still bought it and it was really good! I would love to build this one!

    • @moixmodels
      @moixmodels  Před rokem

      Definitely both kits are a challenge, If you like both aircraft and you're on a budget, I'd say go for it. I would probably build another Revell SR-71, but I don't see myself building a Testors/Italeri U-2 soon hahaha
      This U-2 is objectively worse than the revell SR-71 in 1/72 scale, the gaps and joins require a looot of work, the SR-71 can be fixed easily from the bottom with a bit of love, it's a lot easier to work on.

    • @SketoThanos
      @SketoThanos Před rokem

      @@moixmodels yes the SR71 definitely takes the top spot on my favorite aircrafts. But it took me more time to sand than to build haha. Let's hope that another company will make a U2 someday!

      Good luck on your kit, this thing definitely needs a lot of work to look decent, I felt like nothing fitted well, I hope the video is somewhat useful

    So you used the floor wax as a gloss coat for decals. Will the matte coat adhere to the floor wax?

  • @nhschreiner
    @nhschreiner Před rokem

    Love what you did with the plane. I have the 1/72 scale version on my build board. One final question. I’m 68 and as a younger model builder we always had to scrape paint off of glue surfaces prior to gluing. Is this no longer necessary with acrylic paints?
