This is my entry to MRGA season 3, I hope you enjoy it. I used my latest Fresh Air Pyro build, which you can find below. It's easily my favourite build to play in the game right now and is surprisingly effective.

@@Exzen can you explain the burst damage in fresh air weaver?
@@papaigigitu haha, that's quite a big question! The burst dmg comes from combing several skills at once with several dmg multipliers at once. But there are so many different combos, that it's hard to explain in full and even a basic explanation would be a very long response!

Awesome video. Trying to learn FA Weaver at the moment. Which would you suggest starting out on, Sc/D or Sc/F? I feel like Daggers the more offensive version so for learning it may be rough. Would love to know your thoughts!
Haha, I would advise you to stay well clear of dagger offhand until you've mastered FA with focus. Then you can try running Dagger OH if you want. It's definitely more offensive, but definitely not as well rounded as playing focus.

6:16 Funny how even in WvW us Weavers have such insane rotations. Meanwhile those 4-button Deadeyes...
OK. Just saw the build and I cannot see myself taking the Glyph of Ele Power & Unravel over such strong defensive options as Lighting Flash & Twist of Fate. Heck, in all the time I've played Ele, I've never even used Unravel.
Haha, I'm glad you appreciated it! Re the skills, I know what you mean, but unravel is actually REALLY good on this build and is the one skill I wouldn't remove from the bar. It opens up so many more burst possibilities (hello phoenix, my old friend) and the quick switches to water for heal and cleanse are actually great. I obviously do use lightning flash in other builds, but found I really needed another stun break since you are in melee more than a typical FA build and the mobility from ride the lightning meant I didn't feel I needed the teleport as much. I went for glyph because of the low cd stun break and the fact it could also be used offensively too for clutch burst dmg.
@@Exzen Thanks for the explanation. At least you've figured out how to make such a niche skill work. Or is Unravel secretly OP...

Unravel is pretty good on certain builds, but defo not op. Whether it's worth it depends on how useful the 3 skills are, the offhand skills and whether using unravel offers interesting additional combos. I wouldn't use it on a scepter/focus build since it doesn't offer worthwhile additional combos, but it certainly does with offhand dagger. It works well on dagger/dagger too.
great video! One question. What do you think of Catalyst for roaming compared to weaver? Is it effective/fun to play?
Thanks! I'm going to be completely honest and say that I haven't played around too much with Catalyst for roaming. It is certainly viable and adds a fairly interesting additional playstyle with the extra combo field and auras and the elite can instantly reset one set of attunement skills (double gale, double obsidian flesh or double meteor etc). I would suggest the playstyle might be a little easier than Weaver, since it will be less chaotic and you'll have a few less skills to juggle, but I personally think Weaver is stronger right now. I haven't played enough Catalyst to make a fully informed decision though and in all honesty it doesn't appeal to me as much as Weaver does.

wanted to say this video is absolutely nutty, do you run the same set up in sPvP as well? If not what do you prefer to run in sPvP?
Thank you! I have run a similar thing in unranked for fun, works well with mara and divinity, but I don't think it would be an effective ranked build since it really misses out on the additional stats in wvw, and the boons from pack runes and celerity sigil. It also dies fast if focused!

@@perritocoreano5395 Yeah, focus is defo better in sPvP, in all honesty, focus is just better in generalised, I just find dagger more fun. But focus has such great skills with air 4 and 5 and earth 4 and 5. Its generally better to run arcane rather than fire for offhand focus, but you could keep fire to have some really good condi cleanse with fire aura+transmute. The transmute does decent damage too and could be paired with damage from flame expulsion for a reasonable mini burst. Fresh Air is very difficult in the sPvP meta though and there are easier builds to play on other classes that do the same thing and are more effective.

Yeah fresh air is definitely not easy at all but when you get those big bursts and are patient enough to catch people with the dual attacks and air swaps its so satisfying im addicted LOL, kinda unrelated but what outside of ele, do you have other favorite classes to play or elite specs? Kind of looking to branch out and not sure if there are other classes/specs that are "similar" to weaver

Thanks! Yeah, it felt weird initially, but ride the lightning works as a kiting tool/gap closer in its place and having an extra stunbreak is so damn useful. If anet add a stunbreak back to lightning flash, I may swap it back in.
do you think you could explain the general rotation for your build?
Its not really a rotation, it's more combo based and what you do will depend entirely on what you are fighting, what they are doing, what attunement you're in etc. The general rule is to combo as many hard hitting skills together as you can and double attune to air, for damage multipliers and vulnerability. This particular build also allows you to immediately swap to double fire, so you can combo with phoenix>fire grab etc. All this generally works best if you can CC an enemy. It would honestly take quite a lengthy guide to explain it in reasonable detail.

is this build good for open world pve? for like mob to mob or even tagging? i wanna burst ele build and this looks fun
Good? I'm not sure it will compete with tryhard raid builds etc, but you can certainly run it for fun - I use it for openworld/story etc when I don't have to tryhard. It is def fun to play

The veteran spawn is actually always kept neutral, I've had a lot of good conversations with "enemies" there.
