today I am sharing a large combinator patch which can play 32 different scenes on the fly using either a midi keyboard or use it in a sequencer. Take your pick.
the main goal here is to start of demonstrating where the idea is going. Then I will explain the different setups on how you can go for it.
And it the last segment I will blast through the speakers playing the combinator patch I have setup.
Ps the part I haven't mentioned in this video is how to go beyond the 16 pads. Just examine the combinator and you will get the idea on how that works.

See this is what makes Reason so powerful, it's a circuit board in the right hands. The newer combinator could be a wrapper and an entire genre in itself for grouping these 'doables' together. Sad to see however you are no longer Dutch

Question: how did you get the launchpad to work with Reason? Did you have to jump through a bunch of hoops? Picked up a launchpad S recently on a whim, and couldn't get it to work with Reason 13. I mean I could play some notes, but not all of them and the sequence was weird. Do I just need a more recent launchpad or is there something else that I'm missing?

The way I am using it is straightforward. A launchpad has 5 different modes. Live (which is default). This setting doesn't work with reason outside of the box. Same thing goes with mode 2 (faders). Mode 3 is the note Mode. And this is like playing midi notes on a keyboard. The Mode 4 is normally used for drum sequences but again it plays like a midi keyboard but then in segments of 16 notes (where there are 4 of them in total). This Mode also work well in reason. Eg kong/redrum
Mode 5 is different because it depends on midi out settings.
To change the Mode you should have a button called 'setup'. Which normally is a button at the left upper corner (at least mine has it there. And the mk3 also has it there).
      I hope this helps

Why not request PROPS to add clip launcher in R 14 ?

    • @reasonexperts

i don't require a clip launcher, because the thing I am doing right now, is way more flexible then the clip launcher...
/me looks in the kitchen and goes 'mind blown'.
I'll share this thing once it is finished ;)
