Had a pretty crappy day at work so being able to come home, relax, and watch a new Mav video really just made everything right in the world! To say I'm envious of you is an understatement you are def living the life I would love to have maybe someday when my kids are grown up, but until then I just enjoy watching you do all kinds of cool things!!

I did cool things all the time with my kids. We always went on an adventure. Go do it! More fun with kids then alone.
Camping overnight with my kids once in awhile yes, but living out of a truck and traveling the country wouldn't happen today's kids aren't built for anything but staring at screens all day it's sad but true! Not too mention as long as I have kids and mouths to feed and piles of bills I'm not financially stable enough to quit my job and live out of a truck lol I appreciate all the encouragement though

Maybe for winter camping/cooking, freeze small portions of your olive oil in ice cube trays and transfer them into a zip lock bag. You can add chopped garlic, herbs etc in some of them. Just a thought to make life easier 😊
My bottle of olive oil literally froze while I was car camping lol. I went to pull it out for cooking and it was solid haha. The everyday struggles of living out of your car. But I wouldn’t change a thing, loving exploring the country with my pup

Can I just say, Mav saying "Thanks Tom" after buying his groceries is such a nice thing to see. A lot of people working in grocery and retail tend to feel... I live in Alaska and have camped in 0°F a handfull of times. I think a lot of people dont realize that even with a quality sleeping bag, when you're camping like this it is extremley hard to get the motivation to do activities outside of the warm sleeping bag. Huge props to you Mav for being able to cook a whole meal with your arms out of the bag. It really takes motivation and effort.

I just got home from a truck camp (on the Central Coast of Cali) and we got hit by that cold snap as well. 3pm weather check said a low of 38, and that night we got hit with 23 F!!! which is a super rarity around these parts. I did kind of the same thing where i left the heater off because i got a 0 degree rated bag that i usually use more as just bedding but it saved my butt!! Keep on trucking Mav!!

I ice fish in one of those while laying on a long fold out lawn chair type thing in -20 C and fall asleep regularly. Some of the best naps I’ve ever had.

Cant tell you how much i love watching you camp im older now but in October got rid of my 2001 dodge dakota 4x4 with camper shell now i wished id had a cot i slept on asian carpets but i did baja solo. Cold no, bugs yes and heat still last trip i was 58.
Dude, that truck deserves a video for sure. That truck has been through a lot and still trucking. Would be awesome to see a video of how many miles you have, your repairs and also how you keep it maintained while you’re on the road. Overall keep up the videos bro!

I have a zero degree bag I got from Walmart. It was 30 bucks and I was extremely skeptical 😂. Surprisingly i woke up in the middle of the night sweating in the bag and it was 28 degrees in a normal tent. Needless to say they work pretty well! Definitely don’t need to overdress when you’re in those bags.

I bought the like $50 Coleman one and it’s been great! I actually prefer using it as more of a top layer blanket paired with my puffy down blanket. It can definitely get hot. But if I’m really cold I snuggle with my pup, he’s always warm. We’re traveling around out of the back of my car right now and exploring the country
I also bought a zero-degree bag from Walmart when my heater stopped working. I think it was 50 or 60 bucks and it's worked wondered for the past 4 years both for indoor and outdoor use. Really comfy and warm, my only complaint is that it takes awhile to "fluff" back up after you unwrap it.

Had me dyin when you were doing the smoke ring “tricks” like the idiots with the car battery vape’s ! Hilarious!! On another note that sleeping bag had claustrophobia written all over it.
Whoa you have a lot of moisture in your truck! 😮 You might want to get a bag of silica kitty litter, put it in a sturdy pillow case that has a zipper and leave it in your truck. It gathers moisture from the air and after it's filled up you can reuse it - just put it on a radiator at home for a day or two and it'll be as good as new.
Also, for pasta e fagioli (just say "pasta fazool" and you're pretty close to how the italians say it) you'll be better off either draining the liquid and rinsing the beans or, having no chance of doing that, scooping the beans from the tin with a fork so you can minimize the amount of the liquid getting into the food as the food will be tastier that way.

Mav. I have a good Idea for cooking. Pre make your meals at home and then use a bag sealer to put the food in. Then when you head out on the ice you just boil water and drop the bag into the water and it heats it up. I've done this many times. It works great!.
But alot of us like to watch him cook !!!

I truck camped last night too in my Tacoma but it was only 14°. I’m picking up a kayak near Pittsburgh and figured I’d do some skiing along the way. No need for a hotel! I had my Mr. Heater 9000btu and it worked great. Keep the vids coming Mav
