It’s crazy how Berserk, Vinland Saga, and Vagabond are having a resurgence online, and are simultaneously changing people’s lives.
I’ve seen people go from incredibly atheist, very hateful, spiteful, negative individuals into religious or spiritual, loving, kind, and compassionate individuals because of these stories. It’s even helped with a renewed interest in being masculine and in the masculine identity.
Let’s see it go even further. No matter what, don’t stop. Keep pushing forward. Keep struggling.

I dont think these stories or becoming a better person has anything to do with becoming religious. These messages shouldnt be gatekept, im atheist and you can still take a lot away from these themes without being religious. Many religious people are also very hateful, spiteful, and negative, its about the themes, not about religion imo.

Vinland saga is such a masterpiece. I am reading the manga now that season 2 is finished. Loving it.
I got my heartbroken and i really want the worst for that person, but thors quote keeps replaying in my head, “you have no enemies” and somehow that calms me down
Update: I learned to let go. It took me a month. I sent them one final letter expressing how they made me feel, hope nothing more comes after this.
Update part 2: I’m having second thoughts on the letter i sent, maybe it was best to not send it? Too late either way it arrives tomorrow. I hope it isn’t taken the wrong way. Whatever may happen i must accept and move on.

i was always a kind boy, whenever me and my siblings would fight i wouldn't fight back i'd just try to restrain them until they calmed down, naturally i would always end up hurt, scratches on my face or bruises etc. my parents always praised me for trying to defuse fights and not hurting anyone. years passed and i got older, of course my kindness was regarded as a weakness and everyone took advantage of it, nobody respected me, everyone walked all over me and i always got the short end of the stick, even my parents stopped asking my siblings to do chores and just piled almost everything on me since my brother and sister would protest and be difficult and i wouldn't. i hated myself for shying away from conflict. at 13 i fell into a deep depression that would last 10 years. i became violent, hateful and manipulative. people didn't so much respect me, they just avoided me. at school i was the quiet kid nobody wanted anything to do with. i was going through a midlife crisis as a teenager lol. nihilism got the better of me, and i was suicidal. i could keep describing how it went down but you get the picture.
the more time went by the more rage built up inside me, i would've for sure done something very stupid. i would be sitting around people and i would get a dream like vision of me beating someone to death or something, i started punching walls to the point where my knuckles would be sore for weeks, i was that unhinged. so i isolated myself and played games for years. to cut this shorter, at around 22 years old i started working out, the anger slowly faded, my depression would get better, and i changed my outlook on life. absurdism and stoicism were the name of the game. the better i did, the more i wanted to be genuinely kind. i read a lot of psychology so it became clear to me that evil does not exist, it's just a bunch of wounded people, so even if they wrong me, i forgive them. i also started looking into the teachings of Jesus, and the whole love thing is very inspiring, so he's my role model even though i don't believe in god (i'm an ex muslim). i want to be as loving, as forgiving, as warm and forgiving as he is described to be. then the whole "i have no enemy trend" came up and i was so happy that people were trying to be better to each other, the truth is there really is no evil or bad people. a lot of us are just misguided or haven't made sense of this existence yet.
i guess the point of this is:
1, there's enlightenment and kindness at the end of suffering.
2, if you're depressed, unless you're dead you're winning.
3, taking care of your body WILL heal you.
4, being born kind is nice, but if you don't understand why it's good to be kind, you will lose that gift. true kindness is forged in pain, there can't be light if there is no dark.
i just felt like sharing my story in hopes it entertains, inspires or even enlighten anyone. thanks for reading :)

Never really acknowledged this, but when I wasn't a Christian I loved really captivating music, but now, of a sudden realisation, the Lord has called us to let go of this pride, and captivation to the things of this world but to be humble, be kind, and stronger in faith. The title of this video is very insightful into this, this simple music without words, slow, chill is humble music, not over the top pop, or orchestra, but this can really make you appreciate things more without you even realising. I listened to lots of loud orchestra, motivational orchestra, but in the end, it became boring! Even the most exciting things of this world end up becoming boring, and you need some other pleasure to satisfy. But the Lord calls us to live simply, and a profound impact that simple music like this has is it helps you to appreciate small things in life, being a Christian is appreciating and living off of the love of the Lord Jesus, and whether you are a Christian or not, appreciating small things makes life interesting all the more, but appreciate your God who gave you music, life, thoughts, opinions, fun, happiness, and a soul, whereby all music is made, and who loved you enough to send the Lord Jesus to redeem us by His death and resurrection! Eternal happiness rests in Jesus by repenting from the a life of pleasure seeking to a meek life, a humble life. Repent and turn to Him! John 3:16 - For God so Loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Thanks a lot for this music you have gathered! But most importantly thanks be to the Lord that gave us all music!

As someone whose spent 10 plus years dealing with horribly stupid people, disgusting family, and betrayed and lied to by close friends, losing my homes to horrible people and losing my youth, i say that playlists like this are by people who have never been truly anger unhappy or wronged.

A hero and a villain have the same painful backstory. One determines to inflict the same pain on others as a negative, bitter revenge. The other determines to do everything in their power to prevent others from experiencing the same pain. It is about how the heart (free-will; the deepest inner-person) processes things. There were people in concentration camps who literally shared their food and took beatings in place of others. I am truly sorry for all the betrayal and hurt you suffered through. It is awful. I can only imagine. However, do not assume some people have a life free of inner-turmoil. Please know all humans go thru their own personal hell and some refuse to let it make them lose their love; their light.
