Kevin Harvick's Harsh Comments on Future Electric NASCAR | Hailie Deegan's Former Crew Chief Speaks

  • Kevin Harvick never shied away from sharing what he thought about any number of subjects during his NASCAR Cup Series career as a driver. So it's not surprising to hear the NASCAR on Fox analyst offer his unfiltered opinion on a variety of topics on his "Happy Hour" podcast. During the latest episode, the 2014 champion didn't hold back when talking about electric racing and its future in NASCAR.
    Also, in this video, Hailie Deegan's former crew chief talked about the driver, offering encouragement for the future and hinting at some things that happened in the past. Plus, Kyle Larson was on the receiving end of criticism this week from a Cup Series spotter and the Hendrick Motorsports driver returned fire.
    And finally, we have our weekly By the Numbers segment, where we dive into our Last 5 Races analysis, plus with Alex Bowman ending an 80-race winless streak at Chicago, we take a detailed look at Cup drivers and the last times they won a race. It's interesting to say the least.

    They won’t go electric. If two electric cars get in an accident you need to move them 6 ft away from each other because of fire! From what we seen about 3 months ago. Plus the batteries weigh so much where are you going to dispose of these bad batteries? Seriously!!! America is not and will not ever have enough grid to go electric! It might work for other countries but not America!

    • @x-man5056
      @x-man5056 Před 25 dny +5

      Other countries have the same problem. The purpose of the EV push beyond making tons of money for them is to LIMIT the miles you can drive from home. All of these govts. pushing EV's have a total different reasoning than they talk about. Limit where you can drive to limits your freedom. Every EV is known to the big computer tracing their movement and who it is. If they want to stop you and you are driving an electric car, you can forget charging it, no matter where you want to go or even if chargers are available, they won't be for you. It is a control measure.

    I believe that an electic racing series is a bad idea, there would be no passing in any of these races. The reason I say this is because of the way electric cars work. They have all of the torque they produce at lower engine speeds, like starting from a dead stop. These racers are going to be at top speed all of the time and nascar wanting parity is going to speed govern these electric monstrosities. How do you pass a car when they are all going the exact same speed with no torque to complete a pass. Sounds like a very boring race to me.

I'm not happy with Hailie Deegan's driving in the Exfinity series either but when you have to repeatedly go to pit road for repairs and races with no qualifying it makes it a little hard to compete. I also think there is huge animosity for her and is a target every week. I also believe todays drivers are a bunch of spoiled boys! with expensive toys. You can believe what you want but with few exceptions of a few extreme left wingers. Electric vehicles are all but going away. Let's see what it looks like in 12-24 months from now. I believe you'll be saying Harvick was right.🤷🏼

    Nope won’t be watching an EV series! Formula-E sucks & a NASCAR EV series would also suck. It would cost more than it would make easily.

    Gas powered cars will be gone by the time I die. Nascar will have to evolve or die. That is fact. Whether we end up with electric, hydrogen, or something else, I don't know, but it won't be gas. Nascar would be smart to try several types. If they want to be around 75 more years.

      I don't think so cos the oil moguls won't allow that to happen..EVs are already slumping badly in sales and manufacturers are pulling away from them

      Who wants to see a ev race? Ev race cars are like soy burgers. And fake engine noises are as cringy as fake muscle implants

      @@davids5006 EV's still pose many challenges but they out-power everything but a blown nitromethane engine. Look at the biggest mining equipment and locomotives, see they use generators not battery power. EV sales will improve when we can get rid of the criminals running the country now, and fix the economy. Industry and infrastructure will still consume mass quantities of hydrocarbons. Distributing petroleum products has been our family business for 48 years.
