While this is by no means a bad version, it's really surprising to hear how much Marko is holding back here as compared to when he is singing with Floor, especially in the duet sections. Still quite enjoyable even if not the best.

In my opinion many people underestimate Anette singing Tarja's songs because of their different voice color. While Tarja's voice is dark, Anette's is much much brighter and since the earlier songs were written for a dark voice, most of them are sad or melancholic. When someone with bright voice sings them it's really some kind of untypical but in many cases it is interesting yet wonderful because it's not usual. And the thing with Floor is that she can fit in both because her color is somewhere in between.
The two studio albums with Anette are my favorites, and she sang this pretty well here, but you can tell the band are just not really feeling it with her. They never were. It’s a shame because I think she’s a great singer, just maybe not a great Nightwish singer.

After hearing floor Jansen do the song, and then watching this video... It was literally like watching someone butcher Nightwish song On karaoke I just... Karaoke singer. Good God can floor improve any Nightwish song or what!? Yes tharja and Annette are good singers, just not in metal or symphonic metal. Tarja, one-dimensional old school with slow vibrato Opera singing Only that's all I can see her singing. and their last singer Annette Olson, same thing. But with a Annette you have that one dimensional genre... A top 40 pop type music vocal Style. But I will tell you... Floor Jansen, she can blaze a trail Like Pat Benatar with the rasp in the vocals, power and high of Ann Wilson of heart, the grace the melodice Celine Dion, but also classically trained and Opera. To put a long story short - ish... Floor Jansen has it all! stage presence in commanding a crowd... Check! Beauty, Grace, seductive and sensuality presents... Check check, and triple fucking check! and as far as the rest of the band and floor as well as her Angelic voice... And sorry guys but God will be wanting her back soon cuz I know he's missing that voice. But seriously other than the fact that she is actually an angel. A 6ft tall, gorgeous blue-eyed Dutch Goddess from the Netherlands... Since Seattle Washington 2012, Nightwish has hit perfection!
One other thing... Man you can sense the tension and displeasure in the guys faces. But you're laughing now aren't you now that you got a angel in the band

Very good remaster from Anette with Marco's help. Maybe Tarja's dark vocals matches more with the song in the original version, but i like Anette's approach, too.
I have not listened to Floor's version, but I don't compare any live performance with the original studio song in which the vocals belong to Tarja. In general, in my opinion the original studio songs cannot be compared with any live performance for every song of the band.

I'm sure Annette is a wonderful person and obviously a good singer, but I still can't get into any Nightwish song with her singing. I can listen to anything with Tarja and Floor, all day, but I just can't listen to Nightwish with Annette. To me she doesn't fit.
