For the second question, I thought that John should've taken the yellow and the blue pill, and saved the red for a different situation.
Because if you know what and when the shark is gonna do something, you can make a counterattack or plan. Or for a quick escape if the shark wants to *CHOMP CHOMP* right now, you can swim away quickly.
Edit: Sharks are massive, so the shark would still be the size of a barracuda that ate 100,000,000 massive boats and 100,000,000 other fish.
