  • The hose with the yellow plastic piece is a quick connect fitting and has to be squeezed in and pulled off at the same time. The other hose on the vent solenoid is a regular hose that just pulls off. The plug has a button at the end that has to be pushed in and the plug has been pulled off at the same time.
    Tools needed:
10 mm deep socket 3/8 drive
13 mm deep socket 3/8 drive
    3/8 ratchet
    3/8 extension
lube if you want to put some on the gasket between the vent solenoid and EVAP canister. Synthetic motor oil or dielectric grease will work.

⚠️Do not use a flat head screwdriver to pry on the quick release mechanism of the vacuum line at the bottom vacuum port. Just press the yellow strip and pull out ward on the vacuum line. I put the broke yellow quick release piece back into place and used a zip tie after breaking it trying to pry it out with a screwdriver. When I all I had to do is press in on the yellow plastic strip, and pull out on the vacuum line. The Chilton's manual did not even show the same style of quick release vacuum line. It looked more like the squeeze ones in the JK videos. ⚠️😔
