Dix Mille Tours 2020 by Peter Auto: Thursday & Friday Action at Circuit Paul Ricard!

- Even if the temperatures have been quite high for the whole 4 days, it was a nice breath of fresh air to be able to attend the 2020 edition of the Dix Mille Tours organized by Peter Auto at Circuit Paul Ricard. Since I really didn't have time to produce videos during my stay in France, I'm going to upload some 'highlights' videos from each event's day starting from this compilation of Thursday (the set-up day with 4 hours of free practice session in the afternoon) and Friday, when the actual racing weekend starts. Some binaural and on board videos are coming too!
As usual, the entry list was full of special and rare historic racing jewels such as a 'Hippie' Porsche 917 LH, a Toyota 92C-V, a Ferrari 550 GT1, a 1974 Greenwood Corvette C3 (red and white one), two Panoz Esperante GTR-1s and many many others. Stay tuned for the upcoming videos!

Been watching your content for almost a year and today I discover that I’m in the video with my dad and his 1971 Corvette C3 (0:43). Also we can’t see it but I stared at the camera. Love what you do and keep going!
I love the adrenaline on racing circuits. The smell of burned gas, the noises and vibrations from the engines, me complaining about the overpriced food and talking with the mechanics about the cars... 😃❤️
Nothing can replace the experience of actually being there.

In my country rally its the main competition. The best and most participated track events its the 1600cc classic cup. The ford escorts are more than half the grid, but theres 2 porches and a lotus elan

I love how even in their exotic race engines and no matter the year you can still make out the characteristic sound of a Porsche!

You'll see some shots on the Mistral in the next two videos, because I was in that part of the track both on Saturday and Sunday ;)

Oh, thats easy.
You just need to swap Porsche engine!
Thats 935 in the begining, no 917.
If You care only about sound, as far as i know the easiest way to get the raspier, raw sound, is to tune the ecu - You need to retard the ignition angle on idle as far as possible. First read about it in interwebs.
Naturally it will sound not so good as 6 cyl Boxer on sharp camshafts, but more widly than stock Miata.
