people complaining about the simple guitar. so what. this is a song that is supposed to sound heavy, to have an aggressive vibe. shredding and soloing will just change that feeling. nothing wrong with a slow and basic song. it still sounds beast, its not about the difficulty and skill. its about the sound and feel.
The people who complain how simple this is probably listen to stuff like Walk by Pantera and that's literally the same two riffs the entire time beside the solo. Now I'm ready to be crucified because I "disrespected the gods Pantera and Dimebag."

From what I see in live videos, Ricky generally plays more leads in the songs and solos (AMERICA and Underdog, although the latter is a dual solo with Ryan) more than Ryan. So although people say Ryan is lead, I would consider Ricky as more of the lead player of the two

It doesn't matter how hard or easy it is or if his playing is simple. All that matters is if it sounds good.
Just because the song is simple it doesn't make him or the band untalented. They do have more complicated songs (not saying they're all that complicated) that are better in my opinion. I don't think a song should automatically be labeled as bad just because it's simple. Snuff (acoustic) by Slipknot is one of my favorite songs of all time but it's pretty simple.
It's not about how simple the riff is. It is about how you feel it whenever it is played.

It is very very very similar to this...just on bass lol I learned how to play it when it first came out. Devin Sola was my inspiration to play bass.
Maxi Frost Mine was Paul D'amour and Justin Chancellor... Basically both bassists of the band Tool. Look them up sometime, Schism by Tool has a really good bass line.

So, basically you play the first riff throughout the whole song. Just slightly modifying it for the different sections. Skill!
Don't forget that this is heavily influenced by Industrial Metal. I would go so far as to call this Industrial Metalcore. lol Industrial is notorious for its repetitive and simplistic structure.

Ignore what Twibby Vengeance said, it's bollocks. It's an Ibanez Roadcore, looks like an RC320 with matching headstock and minus a pickguard. Realistically, it'll be a one off custom for Ricky but the RC320 will be the closest production model you'll find. It's clearly a 6 string as well...

I want that guitar. It looks like he took an Ibanez Roadcore and put Mick Thompson gear on it. The Edge bridge, the Seymour Duncan Pickups, I love it! I'd just make the fretboard Black Carbon Fiber with block inlays tbh.
