    Great to see someone showing that AWM2 is actually a really powerful synthesis engine, and these instruments aren’t “just another rompler”, as we so often hear.

    I love these tutorials! Thank you so much for making them!

    the best tutorial I've seen on basic synthesis - I didn't know you could do so much with just a saw wave and some filters!

      Glad you enjoyed it! I forgot to add how to create a choir sound using the saw wave. There should have been 9 sounds.

    This is the only modx8 tutorial ive seen that focuses on sound design thank you so much! The only thing that continues to bug me is when I try to change the lfo wave to something other than Triangle there doesnt seem to be any difference in sound. Not sure what Im doing wrong but what you did with the filter mod on the synth pad did demonstrate that it actually does something lol

      @narfsounds  Před 3 měsíci

      Your filter cutoff frequency value is probably too high and the LFO doesn’t affect it because the filter is fully open. Lower the cutoff frequency value.

    Hi, thank you so much for this amazing sound design video. This is very helpful. Please make more videos on sound design and creating performances using arps and drums.

    Interesting tutorial. Had me thinking of the Alice Deejay "Better of Alone" lead right off the bat with the first element.

    Great tutorial, including lots of parameters i've not yet understood. One thing I've found fiddly is if a part uses many elements but you want the envelopes of those envelopes to be the same, you have to remember the values - there isn't a way of duplicating the envelopes as far as I know

    I have an interesting question. Is it possible that each of the 1-8 Elements uses a P5 SawDown O dg waveform so that I can use the Super Knob to detune these 8 Elements from each other with Detune, with the specified detune value? If this worked, a very cool Super Saw Oscillator, or as Yamaha calls it, Multi Saw Oscillator behavior could be created. A friend of mine showed me an audio recording of how it can be solved, but it would be nice to see this on a video as well. That would be a very good solution. Unison mode also behaves differently. It combines several Saw waves, so the sound will be thicker, and if I detune these Saw waveforms from each other with Detune, it is a nice PAD and Brass sounds could be created with it, with the help of the Super Knob.

      @narfsounds  Před 10 měsíci

      Yes absolutely. You can even go nuts and expand that to 8 Elements for each of the 8 parts. 128 x 8 for the new Montage M.

    I bother you with a consultation, can you sound more than 8 tracks at the same time? When I start putting together a sample with more than 8 tracks in "Multi-gm", the tracks from 9 to 16 does not show me the "KBD Ctrl" therefore do not sound. What do I have to do to enable them? From already thank you very much

    • @narfsounds
      @narfsounds  Před 3 měsíci

      Parts 9-16 can be accessed using an external midi device or Daw.
