Thanks guys for watching! I have an obsession with making things mini. This is very much like the two tier gift box cake that I uploaded 2 weeks ago, although it demonstrates how to apply edible images around you cake and how to create bows with a little touch of something different and how to make them fun sized. These 4 inch cakes will easily feed 3 to 4 people, although it is a perfect size as an individual gift to somebody for their birthday, a congratulations present or for Christmas, seeing as that's just around the corner (woohoo!)
Thanks guys for tuning in!! I hope you enjoyed watching just as much as I enjoyed creating ;)
I shall catch you in my next tutorial this Saturday! xxx

+callmemrtidbitts Have you tried making marshmallow fondant? That's super easy to make and all the ingrendients are easy to find. I buy my fondant from the shops to be honest, I don't make it from scratch. I am in the process of making a marshmallow fondant video but it won't be up until Saturday or Tuesday :( Sorry I couldn't be of more help! Thanks for watching and for your comment!
+Rosie's Dessert Spot, I didn't even know there was such a thing! I will keep my eye out for your vid. ^_^ I could buy fondant from Wilton at Michael's but I find its a bit odd tasting. 😕 Thanks for your reply!! It is much appreciated!! 😆

so cute😍😍😍😍😍
+Jshsj Hdhs thank you!!
I love icing sheets. I used them the first time to get a beautiful silhouette of Gotham city for a batman wedding cake.
so much more detail then fondant and easier to get the lines! I was sold after that. :)
except they were plain back and I just free handed the silhouette.. no printing. can't afford that yet!
+Mariel Button ahh that's a really great way of doing it. My mind would have gone to fondant blocks to act as the silhouette or a stencil. But icing sheets just make so much more sense!
wow they soooooooo cuteee!!!!!!!!
+Glenda Mejia haha thank you Glenda :)

Love your videos! You are such an inspiration Rosie! I was just wondering which of your chocolate cake recipe is good for covering with fondant? I find that the chocolate cakes that I make are not dense enough to support the fondant. Also, when you put your cakes in the freezer, won't it cause the fondant to sweat ?
yay, thank you so much +Joejoejolly Ng x) I used Bakels in this tutorial to save time, but I do have a scratch moist chocolate cake recipe which I use under fondant all the time. I haven't had any issues with it and I always use a buttercream base for frosting as this is really sturdy under fondant. The scratch cake recipe can be found just here: czcams.com/video/FV47F4qtBeE/video.html (i use this recipe for cupcakes and cakes alike)
As for sweating, the cake does sweat once it comes out of the freezer and I used this to my advantage (the icing sheet stuck onto it beautifully). Sweating normally dries off anyway, and if you don't have super thin and delicate decorations on the cake then it really doesn't matter if the cake sweats a little :) that's been my experience anyway.
I hope that helped!
How did you become a cake decorator?
Can you put in refrigerator after adding image. Perishable filling cake
Hi this is super cute! Can you help me?! I am from Brazil and I don't know what is an icing sheet, I have never seen those! And one more question, what is the size of the cake? Thanks and congratulations on your work!
Berry nice
Hi. I love every video tutorial that you post. I have a question though, in every mini cakes that you bake, what size should you usually use for the cake board. Should it be the same size?
Hi +Cakes and Cuppies, thank you! I normally use a cake board that is 1 to 2 inches larger than the cake :)
Hi Rosy, thanks for the lovely tutorial. Can you stick icing sheets straight on to ganache? If so what do you use to stick them please
Hi Karima, yes you can :) you can just brush the ganache lightly with some water and they will stick.
Can you please tell what are those papers u stocked with
Hi ! Can you tell me , which fondant do you are using ? Please! Thanks.
Very nice
+Tanjina Iqram thank you :)
Hy I love ur videos plz recipe of ur fondant

+Aasma Mulla thank you! x

Wow ... So very cute.... Can you do teapot cake ..???
Hey +Rasika Shilani, thanks for the suggestion! I will add it to the request list x
OO wow those look great :D I my favorite is the polka-dot pattern it looks great for a baby shower gift/cake thanks I am new to your channel I sub. a few weeks back and waiting in anticipation for your next videos :D
thank you so much +The Custar Slice Guy!! :D So happy to hear you are enjoying them x
The thumbnail looks so real
wooow super cake
+damith and sand Kwt thank you!! x
Will the buttercream melt and the fondant become soft and bulg?
Hi hun, if you are using american buttercream in tropical conditions, it possibly can. Chocolate ganache is much more stable though :) this normally wouldnt be the case with chocolate ganache.
Pretty!! Did you sell these or were they just a project of yours?
+Austin Dayacap haha no I didn't... my family and I ate one. The other is sitting alone and neglected. It's been more than 2 days now so I don't want to sell it lol it will sit there until I am forced to throw it out.
+Rosie's Dessert Spot ooh NOOOOOOOOO!! :( what a shame??? What about donating any unwanted (gorgeous & yummy) creations to a local aged care facility or children's ward of your hospital?
It seems such a shame to throw all your hard work out ? :(
Hi Rosie,I love your tutorials and the way you explain, it encourages me...well Rosie I notice in your tutorials you never sprinkle simple syrup or anything to moist the cake why??
Thank you so much Kaubak for the awesome feedback :) You can definitely add some simple syrup into the cakes too. With dense mud cakes, it isn't really needed as muds are pretty moist by themselves. The cakes I bake are moist as is it, but adding simple syrup doesn't hurt. It's just depends on the preference of the baker really.
me en cantan ........
what kind of cake do you use pls? 😊 love your channel
+Queen B, kinda thank you! In the recent tutorials I have been using Bakels premix cakes in the muds. Much much less time consuming and less expensive for me to make. If you are more into scratch baking I also have a scratch chocolate cake just in case ;)
Oh I see! I'll try to find your chocolate cake recipe. thank you so much for replying 😊❤
you are so cute rosie
+tya sewpal lol! ;) xx
Can we use the icing sheets directly onto buttercream? I love the concept but my family doesn't like think fondant on cakes
sorry I meant thick*
Sorry I'm a bit confused. What did you use the Kaisercraft paper from Spotlight for?
what kind of cake do you use ?
+snow ice (princess ice) in this tutorial it was a premix by Bakels. I normally leave a link to the recipe video if it's a scratch cake :) lately making scratch cakes every time for a tutorial has been proving to me a)expensive and b) 3 times as time consuming. So I have converted to premixes for tutorials, unless it's a recipe video :)
Hi there, I have gone onto the spotlight website and can find scrapbook paper in the brands you mention but not the icing sheets, or did you buy plain icing sheets and print them yourself. Sorry if I am being a bit dense. Thanks so much Cameo
Hi Cameo,
I baught the papers and then scanned and printed them onto icing sheets. sorry! I should have mentioned that x)
+Rosie's Dessert Spot oh that explains it, where did you get the icing sheets from please? Just watching your Xmas wreath cake ...its gorgeous!
+Cameo Clinton thank you ;D I bought mine from Pack n Save, on Assembly drive, just in Tullamarine. I normally buy them online but they were out of stock. The ones from Pack n Save make do, but the quality isn't as great as the online ones from Sydney (edibleimagesupplies.com). Wafer paper will do the trick though if that's easier to find :)
what is an icing sheet made of? is it fondant or wafer paper? iv never seen any in my local
Hey +maz khatun, icing sheet is different from wafer paper. According to the ingredients it is made of some things I can't pronounce, water, starch and corn syrup lol :) It does taste similar to fondant though!
I like is tutorial
+Daniela Rivera thanks! xx
You are good at using a knife to cut the cake into slices!!!
+SUGARCODER lol!! I completely forgot, I didn't actually need these either :/ argh. Should have cut them.
you should do something with Rosanna pansino
+Grace Spencer haha that woud be amazing! She is super talented. I think I need a few more years on me yet before she would ever consider it lol
cake ingredients
+sanae hsein This cake is mud cake premix from Bakels :) I do have a scratch chocolate cake recipe if you are interested though.
+Rosie's Dessert Spot hi Rosie, yes i am interested. thank you :)
