It is the measure of man who not only lives his life with courage, but faces death with dignity. You are, sir, that man.
Expressed perfectly.
My husband was an ER physician who died of cancer in hospice. He knew he was dying and like this physician, only wanted time with his family before he died. He worked in the ER until two weeks before he died. I feel for his family and how they miss him.
How are you now?
So very sorry.
So sorry you lost your husband
Does it have anything to do with radiation exposure?
@@moodmeditation4458 He was a hospice doctor, not a radiologist MD. IT would be a no.
I bet he was a great doctor. RIP
what a lovely man- full of humanity, warmth & wisdom.
May his beatiful soul rest in peace
You mentioned my friend rest in peace what did you mean by that don't you believe in that other world you go to I thought I mention it because I am and near-death experiences I have seen that world
I hope I have that much courage when my time comes. RIP
Me too
@Jesus Is God Jesus is a figment of your imagination that you were indoctrinated by from birth. If you were born in India, you'd be hindu, Isreal and you'd be Jewish. Etcetera......
@Jesus Is God it's a scam. It was created by man for man. The Bible was put together by the council of Nicea, conveniently leaving out the things that didn't support their case. Book of Enoch, for example. Why pass the plate at church? Jesus running low on funds? I would think that being all powerful and all, you wouldn't run into financial problems. Now I'm not saying there isn't a Supreme being or Grand Architect, but Christianity ain't where it's at, my friend.
@Jesus Is God that's very easy to say. What proof do you have? Unfortunately that statement isn't quantifiable. There will never be any certain proof that God exists or doesn't until you die. Until then, it's all speculation.
You really need to ask yourself why you can't just let somebody have their own beliefs. Sounds more like you're trying to work out on you believe
How could anyone give this gentle & positive video a thumbs down?
How in the world does anyone dislike this video. Human reaction to truth always amazes me. Wonderful human being.
Maybe it's disliked because the person/people don't like the fact that this Doctor passed away...
I hope when my time comes that I will have the courage that Bruce had. RIP Bruce.
Brave man, im sure he was a wonderful caring dr too. May God bless him in heavenly peace. Xx
This man had peace in his heart, he didn't want to leave, but was not afraid to die, Now that's PEACE.
what a beautiful man...
Seeing the pictures of him with his young family really drives it home about how our time on this planet is very short. What we do with our lives really matter, and where we spend eternity is so important.
We spend eternity exactly how we spent the time before we were born and became aware of ourselves...in blissful oblivion.
@@lisad2701 Are you absolutely sure of that?
@@rickwilson886 yes When Adam was created, God created all humans to come till the last day of the world. But in the form of spirit/soul. And we take entry and exit into this world as pre-written by God Almighty. When I ponder and think about all this God's planning, I feel that this world is like a drama theater and we are the characters of the drama which is written and directed by God Almighty. Every individual character is defined by God Almighty whether as Christian, muslim or jew. But what is upto us is how good we play our role.
it's very true when you said Where we spend eternity with. I don't know if he knew the Lord through Christ Jesus but when he said about forgiveness and forgiving others maybe that right there that he knew the Lord the Christ Jesus. I pray that more people that don't know the Lord through Christ Jesus will seek him seek his love his patience is forgiveness because God humbled himself as a human being through Christ Jesus and took the punishment for the sins of the world to be reconciled back to God through Christ Jesus. And forever believes in the Lord through Christ Jesus will be with them for eternity and a most beautiful place than here. The reason I say this because I care because I'm a child of God a Christian we need to believe without seeing because faith can be strong but I know faith is a big word for some people and some people just don't believe. But when you look at this beautiful planet and how many animals species different insects and especially the complexity of a human DNA. I always say out of nothing became something and created a complexity of a human DNA that is impossible. God is from everlasting to everlasting he's the beginning and the end he is internal. But God gave us enough knowledge to know that he exists when you look at nature and I just wanted to say we do not come from monkeys because our DNA is totally different from monkeys. God created us to fellowship with him to love him and to worship him through Christ Jesus and he made us in his perfect image. But once we realize that we are sinners we're not perfect but once we realize this and have a relationship with the Lord through Christ Jesus and seek him for his forgiveness not just for miracles but for who he really is. I hope that I'll be like this man too to have courage when my time comes because I told the Lord I'm a little bit better now because with me suffering with chronic lyme disease getting three bone marrow biopsies done and have a few less cells in my bone marrow and every day almost feeling sick. I know the Lord is always with me even if I don't feel this holy Spirit at times. Thank you for reading my message whoever you are. Just remember whatever you're going through whatever suffering you're going through don't give up even when I prayers don't get answered and sometimes it's just not God's will and we can't be upset at him. Thank you Nick

Cancer is the biggest bully and I hope someday it gets its ass kicked and no longer can bully anyone again ..... keep fighting w all ya got ....... bless all
Gregg hatfield. Sadly bet they have found a cure but big pharma makes more money buy treating symptoms and not actually treating it those meds are some most expensive meds out there
TEXAS MADE I bet your right ,,, and the cure goes to certain persons...... I know it was probably a population control thing ??? What do you think on that ?
@@gregghatfield9946
I truly think so I feel first the rich will receive it and as medical marijuana slowly state buy state cracks down big pharma there gonna allow another method battle but that been known to work aswell maybe some day we wont have to say good bye to Are love ones who might had found out bit later in the stages or it progesss rapid
TEXAS MADE :::::: I agree
SOUTHERN REBEL . They have the cure but they won’t give it to the people that need it???? That’s the stupidest thing I have ever heard the company/person that found the cure would be one of the most honored and famous people on earth there is no reason for anyone or a company to hold back a cure if revealing it would make them even more money.
R I P! He seemed like a genuinely good person!
I want to be like him but trust me, I fall short. What a man!
A true saint - you get them in life
There have been a few times in my life where a person has a profound affect on me and this is one of them. This man is extraordinary. He was a Hospice doctor and Death with Dignity advocate and, at the end of his own life, he truly lived his words. He helped his patients face life's end and will help many more people with his example of facing his own mortality with dignity and grace while expressing gratitude for the gift of life.
He looks like a nice, gentle and kind man. May he Rest In Peace.
He seems like he would have been a very kind and compassionate doctor. I'm so sorry for his family's loss, and I'm glad he had the time to tell them what he wanted and to hear what they had to say to him.
He must have been an amazing human being. You can tell by his smile, he is full of life and love. Such a beautiful, inspirational story. Thank you for sharing this. ❤️🙏
He seems like a great person. I know if I was terminal I'd want him as my doctor.
What a lovely man!
My grandfather died of pancreatic cancer in 1995. It's a terrible terrible disease. They said you would have 6 months to live but he held on for a year-and-a-half it turned him into a skeleton it was really sad. We all love them so much and still listen to this day I hate pancreatic cancer, I hate all cancer. I'm just happy he got to say goodbye just like I got to say goodbye to my grandfather.:-(
How old was he?
An angel departure , May he RIP
My husband, Walter, died very young of prostate cancer. He said that the dying wasn't the worst part, but the journey there was hardest. Gloria Streifling, Maggs.
So sorry for your loss
How old was he?
Beautiful story. God bless you Bruce
What a great human being must of been a pleasure to have doctor like this....his attitude his gratefulness and humility shone thru.....his family must be extremely proud of him and will be surely missed R.I.P
Wow. There are no words to describe this man's humanity and courage. This only goes to show how short and precious our time on this planet is. Love and be loved in return, that is all that really matters.
Rest in peace Bruce. Thank you❤💙
From this short excerpt I can see he was a very good man with integrity and compassion and I agree in sure he had helped many in his life. Seems a lovely person. God bless your souls and your family.
Beautiful GENTLEman. God bless.
Rest in Peace, Bruce. May your new existence be one of happiness and fulfilment. You deserve only the best.❤️
What a brave man he was, so full of love. R.I.P sir.
Powerful message he spoke may he RIP
Such a kind man to help others, God Gave him peace.
Did you hear him mention God at all? He may well have understood that God is a figment of mans imagination.
From watching a few seconds of video, I feel his love for his family, friends & colleagues. That’s beautiful! ❤️
What a beautiful soul
I had a friend with pancreatic cancer. She was in the hospital in a lot of pain. Eventually, she passed away and the doctor told her sister that he had given her an overdose of morphine to end her life--illegal in our state. We were so thankful for that angel of mercy.
I'm sorry for the loss of your friend. I hope I have a compassionate doctor to end a loved ones suffering or mine for that matter. Idk why some people think we need to writhe in pain and struggle to breath, suffering to the very end. They use God as an excuse and I say if he allowed us the knowledge and way then let us utilize it and let people suffering go in peace. Animals are allowed to then why can't we?
@@kristineill2378 Thank you for your kind words. It was a very rough time. I couldn't believe that amazing doctor told her sister that, knowing what was at stake but yes, I hope we all encounter doctors like that if we're ever in that hopeless situation. And yes, the God thing--those people have no problem defying their god with insane measures to force a heartbeat, respiration, etc., when that god obviously wants the person to be dead. But they conveniently don't admit that, letting their own selfishness torture their loved one. That's not love. As you say, we do it for pets and anyone who has ever had to make that decision with a pet knows that it is the most painful, difficult thing to do--to let them go--but it's a kindness. It's noble. And it hurts like no other emotional pain but it's the right thing to do.

Bless you Doctor. 🙏to your family. Such a brave Doctor.
He’s thankful that he saw his family grow up, and died an old man. That’s what anyone should be thankful for.
Bless him.
Thank you Bruce. We all have our time here, and that time runs out for us all. Our actions outlive us, and if we can make one life better while we are here, help alleviate the suffering of even one person, we have helped improve this, our temporary home. It sounds like while you were here you helped lessen the suffering of many, those actions will live forever.
Rest in peace my friend
We all have to go one day only God knows when and how~~~Thank you for sharing.
Rest in peace,,, God bless you and your loved ones, thank you for being you and sharing.
This man has mastered the art of living and dying. So proud of you brother, this is why we are here.👍🙏❤️
Losing my fiance to COVID when the pandemic first began has led me to an innumerable amount of videos like this....I thank so your oh so eloquently shared words....both living and dying are dependent on each other, the inescapable inevitably of the cessation of our carnal body and all the senses were bestowed with that allow us to take in the beauty in magic of this moment in time which only exists to us within the confines of this limited experience are EXACTLY what maintains the balance and gratitude of this journey called life.
It is just absolutely awe inspiring to me.

Thank you Bruce .. for your work as a doctor and sharing this video. May you rest peacefully. 🥺❤️
Hugs ❤️🙏🤗
I don't really think u think about how transitional life is, until u get past your 40s. That's when families shrink, and friends in your past die. I certainly didn't think about death, in my teens, 20s, 30s, or even my 40s. My mother lived to 96, my father died at 70, and I just lost my younger sister, to Lewy Bodies Dementia, at The Residence, in Darien, CT.She passed away, peacefully in her sleep, after suffering for 7 years. RIP! Blessings and prayers to the family!
It's been a tough year for my family with my father fighting a life threatening illness and my mother recovering from breast cancer surgery. I find Bruce's words inspirational at a time when I have had to face up to the prospect of losing my parents. Coming to terms with my parents' illness has really given me a new perspective on life. It sounds like a cliché but I really do try and make lasting memories with them and for the first time tell them unshameabley just how much they mean to me. I'm sure Bruce helped a lot of families in his lifetime. His legacy lives on with this video. Like Bruce, all I want when my time comes is to know that I have left noting unsaid to my loved ones and friends. RIP Bruce
Very Brave man whom was more likely loved by many people 💙
Beautiful man.....such courage and tact.

What a great man. I hope to one day embrace my passing with as much grace and thoughtfulness as Bruce.
That was so beautiful, but still sad.💔
What a brave soul. Memory will live on. Thank you for teaching me a valuable lesson on life
Sad to see him go.
"Immortality is a state which is not in our power to possess. But by living nobly and dying nobly, we do in a certain measure achieve this condition."
-Augustus Caesar
Bruce definitely lived up to these words. Rest in peace sir.

Rest in peace Dr Bruce. What a brilliant dr to have helped so many in the end of life. I pray you had the dignity as you gave to others.

And there, one day, will be us all...
I was a Hospice RN for 17 years and had so many spiritual experiences. One incident I was working in the Hospice Inpatient Unit where we had 10 beds for the patients. I had one woman who was actively dying. As I passed by her room I peeped in and saw her sitting up on the side of her bed smiling. I walked on by then stopped recalling she's not been doing so well..also..she was missing a leg and when I just saw her a few seconds prior she had both legs. I backed up and looked in the room and she was still laying in bed. I thought maybe I had seen soul getting ready to leave the body. She looked so happy. After the end of my shift I went home. When I walked in my house there she was standing in my hallway. She had both legs, looked at least half her age and was smiling so brightly. I stood there, smiled at her, thanked her for giving me a visit then she faded away. I called work and told them to go in and check on her, the nurse came back to the phone and affirmed she had passed. I felt so blessed she chose to touch in and share her joy passing on.
I recently did a podcast on my hospice experiences...it's on my channel...part 2
Did you ever see anyone who was absolutely certainly about to die but were miraculously healed?
Bravo Dr. Bruce! a lesson taught and one learned here. I'm thankful for that.
Thankyou for this💝
God bless him and may his family be comforted by all of the love and memories they had together.
What a beautiful man.
What a lovley human being❤️
Very worthy words Sir. RIP
I'm not afraid of dying, I just want to live as long as possible to be of service to my family. I want to die standing up when it's my time. I told my oldest Son I wouldn't mind dying in his back yard while I'm mowing for him. I told him that if he comes home and sees me laying in the yard to just come over and give me a hug and give me time to check out before calling anybody, and to rejoice that I want to the way I wanted too! As miserable as life can sometimes be, it's always beautiful!
