I have been at my new job for over six months, and when first I met this woman (older than me, 50-ish), I instantly knew something was "off". This woman practically stared me down the entire time. I noticed she was always negative, depressive, and seemed to have a huge chip on her shoulder about life. Been at that job for many years, and is miserable. Before long, she started trying to get really clingy with me, asking a ton of personal questions (I didn't fall for that). Then the copying started: the way I dress, the way I speak, hair color, etc. When I noticed this, I cut her off as much as I could (I don't speak to her at all). Even then, she started following me to the restroom, to the break room, around the office, etc. She tells lies about me behind my back, but is "sweet" to my face. She used to butt into my conversations with other colleagues, but that's stopped (I ended up snapping on her). I started documenting her, with times and dates, and reported her to my boss. It was getting out of hand. The "following" has pretty much subsided, but she still copies... I do agree, these people aren't wrapped too tight, and need to be kept at a great distance (or cut off). I'm so sorry you had to deal with this. At least in your case, she no longer works with you. I'm just waiting on my own Single Black Female to vanish... LOL...
I would also say that you should watch "friends" that claim you're jealous of them... they just may be very insecure. I found an old friend to be this way... and God/the Universe showed me how she was always a jealous friend who painted me as a jealous person because she was projecting her trash on to me. From my direct experience, females / ppl of color tend to be some of the worst haters. I'm 28, a woman of color and I can't tell you how many times I've had females / ppl of color talking mess about me. These were individuals that I didn't even know existed. I grew up with losers in my mother's family trying to downgrade me and claim I was never going to do anything with my life / I was a nobody. I live my life for me and really don't care to and have never cared to follow ppl / trends. I know that's what scares these fools. A lot of them that have spoken about me worked / work minimum wage jobs that they probably earn little to no money, have kids they don't want and look miserable dealing with them, etc. I am happy I am not a follower and live my life for myself.

Actually I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm 36 years old and I work in a corporate office. One of my coworkers has been taking settled jabs at me lately. I am a paygrade or two higher than her and I know when one of my co-workers got a position like mine she was hating on him and by the way she's not a sista, just staying. I started to keep my distance from her because I work with her and I didn't want any issues. Sometimes you have to separate yourself from others who are not there for you and who is negative.

Yes, I can peep that in a heartbeat. I went thru something with a good friend of mine and she admitted to me that she was jealous of different things that I had going on in my life. We had just got out of church when she admitted it. I was so OMG but I took her for her word and I have now totally distance myself from her because I knew in my heart that issues were coming. And it is sad because our husbands are best friends, So this has also affected their relationship. I always knew that she felt a certain way about our shopping sprees. I see things I want I buy it and she would always make excuses as to why she won't buy things. I am not a loaner so I guess that also made matters worse. I don't like lending. I had a friend who talked the worst smack about me behind back, I nearly fell backwards when I heard about what she saying and yet the sweetest person to my face. Red flag number number one was when I told her off twice for talking bad about a mutual friend of ours, yet still continued to do so. I realized it was insecurity and wrote it off - but how much are you supposed to take - negative, toxic people who can ruin your reputation have got to go! And at the very end we were talking on the phone and I told her I had to run, I needed to get to the market before it closes. I was in such a rush, I left it to her to hang up as I said goodbye. i still heard my blue tooth going but didn't think much of it - until I heard the words directly coming from that little loud speaker. Telling her son, he needed to move his car from the "sinner's" house. I'm like seriously, okay - first of all those who those live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones especially when they have pebbles compared to yours!. Anyway, it's amazing how hard it is to sometimes what to see or accept people for who they are and not what they appear on the surface. When you hear it directly through a blue tooth speaker makes it a lot easier! And who has time for those types of people, life is hard enough, let them wallow in their own negativity instead of trying to bring you down with them.
A good indicator of how a person is going to treat you is how they treat others. If you hear them stabbing other people in the back, it's more than likely they're doing the same thing to you behind yours.

And my spirit is telling me, it's some real slick, lowkey shade. Like I feel this person letting me know they don't too much care for me deep down like they pretend. I just start peeping in general how some people are so slow to give you props but quick to talk to you about bs. And it's not a thing about being "cosigned", "accepted", or about social media likes, it's the message behind that. I pay attention to how people act with me in real life and online. In reality they not mad at me, they mad at God for manifesting these gifts through me.

They've never said it to my face, but I know a lot of people think I'm "funny acting" or a bitch because I don't act like somebody is my best friend after knowing them for a week or 2 and I don't like to huddle up in groups and stuff. I have been at my new job for over six months, and when first I met this woman (older than me, 50-ish), I instantly knew something was "off". This woman practically stared me down the entire time. I noticed she was always negative, depressive, and seemed to have a huge chip on her shoulder about life. Been at that job for many years, and is miserable. Before long, she started trying to get really clingy with me, asking a ton of personal questions (I didn't fall for that). Then the copying started: the way I dress, the way I speak, hair color, etc. When I noticed this, I cut her off as much as I could (I don't speak to her at all). Even then, she started following me to the restroom, to the break room, around the office, etc. She tells lies about me behind my back, but is "sweet" to my face. She used to butt into my conversations with other colleagues, but that's stopped (I ended up snapping on her). I started documenting her, with times and dates, and reported her to my boss. It was getting out of hand. The "following" has pretty much subsided, but she still copies... I do agree, these people aren't wrapped too tight, and need to be kept at a great distance (or cut off). I'm so sorry you had to deal with this. At least in your case, she no longer works with you. I'm just waiting on my own Single Black Female to vanish... LOL...
I would also say that you should watch "friends" that claim you're jealous of them... they just may be very insecure. I found an old friend to be this way... and God/the Universe showed me how she was always a jealous friend who painted me as a jealous person because she was projecting her trash on to me. From my direct experience, females / ppl of color tend to be some of the worst haters. I'm 28, a woman of color and I can't tell you how many times I've had females / ppl of color talking mess about me. These were individuals that I didn't even know existed. I grew up with losers in my mother's family trying to downgrade me and claim I was never going to do anything with my life / I was a nobody. I live my life for me and really don't care to and have never cared to follow ppl / trends. I know that's what scares these fools. A lot of them that have spoken about me worked / work minimum wage jobs that they probably earn little to no money, have kids they don't want and look miserable dealing with them, etc. I am happy I am not a follower and live my life for myself.

Love your channel - keeping it real. Hard to believe, but it happens, and it makes me sad. Sometimes you're surprised the one it's coming from. You be thinking highly of that person and they are jealous or doing and saying hateful things towards you. Someone that is jealous can't keep it in. It will come out in some kinda way. Also be careful of someone who talks negative about other people all the time. I found out the hard way, that as soon as you turn your back they are talking bad about you. Don't think they aren't. As Maya Angelou said "they already told you who they are, you should have believed them the first time" (paraphrase). And know the person that tells everyone's business, is also telling yours. My mama used to tell me - a dog that brings a bone, will carry one too. Everyone is not your friend. Just keep your ears and eyes open and pray for that person b/c they must have issues with themselves to be that way.

Its a female i used to hang with, we'd have girls night, go shopping, typical girl shit, tell me why one day we were on the phone, she asked what was doin so i told her gettin ready to head to the nail shop, that heffah replied "you always gettin yo nails done, aint dat much nail polish in the world" i just hung up the damn phone, right then and there i knew home girl had a issue with me. Before that incident i may give her outfit a compliment, she get all happy bout a compliment but when i ask oh where did you get that shirt from, or those shoes from, its always it was a gift, or i dont remember. I always give compliments, its an opinion when an outfit is cute or not, she swore up and down i'm hatin if she got her hair did and i didnt compliment it, i didnt compliment it because those $15 multicolor peacock ass quick weaves looked fucked up. I was never the rype to be envious because as i grew up i saw the females in my family uplift other females rather than tear them down. Actually I'm going through the same thing right now. I'm 36 years old and I work in a corporate office. One of my coworkers has been taking settled jabs at me lately. I am a paygrade or two higher than her and I know when one of my co-workers got a position like mine she was hating on him and by the way she's not a sista, just staying. I started to keep my distance from her because I work with her and I didn't want any issues. Sometimes you have to separate yourself from others who are not there for you and who is negative.
I have an Aunt that always has something negative to say to me. She never says anything positive. What she's jealous of? I will never know.

Hey! Listen I used to be a very envious person but I'm better now thanks to my Lord and Savior. I just openly give love now. I don't get jealous because I KNOW there's enough to go around. I get happy, I'm ambitious and I have a reason to live - my GOD - so I don't hate. Find people who are happy with themselves. They have to see a shrink if they ain't.
I don't know girl but once I had a best friend and she started copying me left and right. It wasn't until my Aunt noticed that she (my bestie) looked me up and down and made what my Aunt called a horrible face and goes, "why are you so dressed up?" something you gotta know about me is that I love to dress up. It doesn't matter where I'm going, but she wanted me to be dressed down like her and all our conversations turned into competitions. I just let her go. If I see her, I'm polite but I no longer want to spend time with her. I guess what's best is to be open to others but not reveal your secrets. I think if you're pretty it's hard to get less attractive females to want to be your friend
My kids keep me busy but do get lonely for adult company and coversations and I have no sisters either so sucks

Yes, I can peep that in a heartbeat. I went thru something with a good friend of mine and she admitted to me that she was jealous of different things that I had going on in my life. We had just got out of church when she admitted it. I was so OMG but I took her for her word and I have now totally distance myself from her because I knew in my heart that issues were coming. And it is sad because our husbands are best friends, So this has also affected their relationship. I always knew that she felt a certain way about our shopping sprees. I see things I want I buy it and she would always make excuses as to why she won't buy things. I am not a loaner so I guess that also made matters worse. I don't like lending. I had a friend who talked the worst smack about me behind back, I nearly fell backwards when I heard about what she saying and yet the sweetest person to my face. Red flag number number one was when I told her off twice for talking bad about a mutual friend of ours, yet still continued to do so. I realized it was insecurity and wrote it off - but how much are you supposed to take - negative, toxic people who can ruin your reputation have got to go! And at the very end we were talking on the phone and I told her I had to run, I needed to get to the market before it closes. I was in such a rush, I left it to her to hang up as I said goodbye. i still heard my blue tooth going but didn't think much of it - until I heard the words directly coming from that little loud speaker. Telling her son, he needed to move his car from the "sinner's" house. I'm like seriously, okay - first of all those who those live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones especially when they have pebbles compared to yours!. Anyway, it's amazing how hard it is to sometimes what to see or accept people for who they are and not what they appear on the surface. When you hear it directly through a blue tooth speaker makes it a lot easier! And who has time for those types of people, life is hard enough, let them wallow in their own negativity instead of trying to bring you down with them.
A good indicator of how a person is going to treat you is how they treat others. If you hear them stabbing other people in the back, it's more than likely they're doing the same thing to you behind yours.
