The marmot in the dirt hole is a permanent fixture. We went up Fall River on the 3rd and 7th and he was there each time! He never moves over. Cheeky!
I also loved the moose and her twins!
Right?! We couldn't believe it, Catherine. The amount of time we got to spend just watching from the car was incredible. Very special moment for us on the parks tour. 👍 - Howard
Wow, so so beautiful !!!
Dave, so true! Just a spectacular park to explore. 👍 - Howard
The segue from "Now we are very hungry" to the moose crossing made me laugh. Mmm, moosesaka...
Ok by far this is our favorite episode so far on NP!!! 🎉❤🌲
Scenic lakes and valleys , beautifully stunning
It really is, Emanoel! Rocky Mountain was breathtaking. 👍 - Howard
I did that emerald lake hike fifty years ago when I was a teenager. Nice to see it’s still as pretty as back then!
Thanks for sharing.
Y cant other youtuber be like you guys. Kinda watching national geographic❤❤❤.
Wow, Chris thanks so much! We work hard on our episodes, so your compliments mean a lot! Glad you're along for the journey. 👍 - Howard
Fun fact if you've never been to RMNP before; Alberta Falls is named after Alberta Sprague. It is a short walk from the Bear Lake parking area.
Another great job guys! Thank you for sharing.
Glad you enjoyed it, Dan! Glad you're along for the journey. 👍 - Howard
The moose sighting was great! :) Thanks for taking us along!
Just want to say I adore you guys here I Maine.. Take me away .. take me away .. to that higher place.. take me away!! Love 💕 you and the sweet doggies!! Xxxxoooo
The color of the lake doesn't even look real! I just learned that there were moose in Colorado too. I had no idea. I though moose were only in Maine & Alaska. That Mama with her 2 babies were so cute! The babies are adorable! I don't know if I could drive that road. I'm afraid I would get nervous and drive right off the cliff. Waterfall was beautiful!
Thanks, Sandra! We put off visiting Rocky Mountain for too long, but so glad it delivered with wildlife and beautiful scenery. Like we mentioned, "Where's the moose?" was the NUMBER ONE question the ranger was asked while walking during the program. 😂👍 - Howard
We literally just did the hike to Nymph Lake and Lake Haiyaha on Saturday! Absolutely stunning! 😍
We drove FallRiver Pass in (BION) a 1967 Austin Healey 3000 MK III! There was no 4x4 high clearance warning then. Ah, the stupidity of youth! It was worth it and we didn’t scrape even once. No, I’m not that Sprague! 😂 Thanks for the memories.
Bill, you're not THAT Sprague? Are you sure? 😂 Glad you're along for the journey! 👍 -Howard
Thank you
Thanks for watching, Ann! 👍 - Howard
Oh my lord. I absolutely loved this video. So beautiful. I am definitely watching it over agin. The emerald lake…no words. And the icing on the cake..thé momma moose with her twins. Thank you for this!! Big hugs to the puppies ❤️❤️🇨🇦
That was so cool. I am really enjoying your parks series. I can't wait for next week. That will be amazing. 🙂🙂🙂
Who Dey Howard 🐅. We just missed you guys at RMNP. We were there July 27-30th before heading on to Grand Teton. The momma moose & babies were awesome. We didn’t get to see any moose this year but saw several there in 2022. Last year we were passed by an elk on Fall River Road. Enjoyed the video.
Well done, we were camping in Glacier Basin last month. Nice to have access to park without timed entry
That’s another beautiful park. Excellent video as usual 👍🏼
As usual, thanks so much for watching! 👍 - Howard
Talk about seeing mountain majesties - this NP definitely has that factor going for it. I have to ask this question about the Alpine Road. Was that road one way going up to the Alpine Center, and then from there you accessed a paved road? Momma Moose and her twins was such a special sight to see. Thank you for sharing that and all the wonders of this beautiful Park with us. Stay well & safe travels.
Such a gorgeous park, Lis! Yes, the dirt road was one-way (though historically, it WASN'T, which is kind of mind blowing with the width of the road), so you make a loop of it by driving back on the main park road from the Alpine Visitor Center. We feel beyond blessed to see the Moose and twins! 👍 - Howard
Another good one.
Glad you enjoyed it, Hal! Thanks for watching. 👍 - Howard
Native way you all got blessed to be able to have an encounter with the Mama moose and her babies🙏
Thanks guys. Love this video. We been up there before….in your car!! 😄😄. Amazing views and dozens of Elk….yes. Be safe
You got to Colorado! Looking forward to watching.
We did, finally! 😂 Stay tuned, we're visiting all three of the National Parks in CO: Rocky Mountain, Mesa Verde and Black Canyon of the Gunnison. Each one is VERY different from the others, so we had a lot of fun exploring. 👍 - Howard
We were in Boulder in July and couldn't get to Rocky Mountain. Hoping to return in Sept. and do it this time. @@NewstateNomads
@@PhotowalksTV September is an ideal time, as the Aspens have started to turn Golden Yellow and the Elk Rut has begun. Just be certain to keep your distance from the big guys, they have attacked visitors who have approached to closely.
OK--@@mountainmanwannabe9495 will do. I'm looking at first week of Oct. actually.
I knew nothing about this park! Now I know enough to want to visit. So cool to see the baby moose twins! We saw two adults in a river in Yellowstone, but we were driving so didn’t get a great look at them. As always, great video!
I finally just let myself watch this RMNP episode. This is the park that warms my soul as we visit here every year and have since our honeymoon in 1975. You were really lucky to see the wildlife that you did. We saw moose for the first time ever just last year. Thanks for this fabulous series. I love the content and really enjoy you two seeing it together. You are a truly fun couple to watch.
So glad you were able to see the mama moose and the twins!! Beautiful place.
Thanks, Glenda! We were so lucky to catch all three on our way back into the campground! 👍 - Howard
Old Fall River Road is one of my favorites in the park
Interesting video guys! Full of info... Thxs
Thanks, Diana! 👍 - Howard
Oh my goodness!!!! The twin moose were absolutely adorable!! I would’ve just melted. 😍😍
Found your channel last week, and it's fun to see you driving around what is essentially my backyard. 😄 Next time, I recommend stopping at the Rock Cut overlook on Trail Ridge Road to spend some time with the pikas, they're my favorite mountain animal.
We would like to visit Colorado next year, and this definitely will be a place to see. Thanks for all your information on our National Parks. 😊
Looks amazing. We haven't been to this one yet and it's definitely a must do. Thanks for sharing the beautiful views and wildlife. Love marmots and moose. 🎉💕
Another great video, loved it. And I didn't get hungry, like I usually do, because you weren't eating delicious food in front of me. Thank you, lol.
Thanks for sharing with us as always!! Love the marmots and moose. My cousin and I saw moose when we were there but sadly didn't get to see marmots. Also so cool to see the triple lake trail not covered in snow as we couldn't complete it when we were there because we weren't prepared for all the snow! Love yall's videos, it's so fun to ride along with yall.
So beautiful, we missed to meet you at Rocky Mountain NP or black canyon of the gunnison / Mesa Verde/ great sand dunes where we visited also in late July / early August.
Gorgeous! Just like I remember RMNP…stunning in every direction. Thank you, as-always for showing what a beautiful Country we have! Your videography expertise is second to none, for sure . Much Love 🩷, Virginia
Awesome video thank you. One of the park’s I really would like to get too
Thanks, Keith. It was a long time coming for us, too, but absolutely worth the wait! 👍 - Howard
You certainly have to be super cautious while walking, broken ankle in a second!
I was about 2 weeks behind you. I also stayed at the same campground and took the Old Fall River road. At the top I the road we saw a moose by the trees below and 3 elks near by. So worth the drive.! Your posting brought back such fond memories! Thank you for sharing your wonderful experience.
We love Estes Park!! We did that Dream/Nymph/Emerald Lakes hike in the summer and then did same hike in the winter with snowshoes. Gorgeous! Were you guys able to visit The Stanley Hotel? That’s such a cool hotel.
Great video and so informative. It's funny you said you got so close but didn't visit until now. We have been in Estes Park several times and never visited Rocky Mt NP. But it's on our bucket list, so hopefully, someday we will.
I lived 13 years in Colorado mostly in Steamboat Springs, but spent 2 summer’s living in the Fraser Valley (Grandy/Winter Park). RMNP is such a beautiful place, have all throughout that area and was able to see/enjoy an abundance of wildlife…marmots have to be favoritest! 😊
Anyways, thank you for sharing your National Adventures with us!
As always, stay safe out there….
I appreciate your series "51 Parks with the Newstates" this will definitely be referred to for several years (because I have only been to 1)!
Stunning mountains. I love this park. The lakes are pretty. The moose and elk are so cool. Awesome video.
Hi you two…what happened with your “new” RV. Suddenly you are back in your “ old” one. Why? Did we miss something?
We discussed moving back in depth during our recent live, but like we said way back in the announcement video back in January, the Vista NPF was always a loaner for the Parks tour. Winnebago gave us the choice of moving back into our Navion during Grand National Rally (held at the factory in Iowa) or in the winter also at the factory. We chose the warmer weather to move between RVs. 🤣👍 -Howard
I have a question. It seems to be one way up the dirt road to the Rangers station. How do you get back down?
what is your favortie national park
Haha, answering that could be trouble, Peggy Sue! 😂 We definitely have parks that we could visit again and again, but it's so hard to pick a favorite for us. Do you have some favorite parks? - Howard
@@NewstateNomads i have been to a few parks not as many as you. I would say Yellowstone was mine. would love to go back.
I guess I missed the episode where you guys got rid of your Winnebago National Parks RV. It’s great because the US National Parks, which are paid for by US taxpayers, should not be “sponsored” by corporations like Winnebago. There are still some things that are sacred in the USA.
