I think it's valid for them to lip sync some parts of the songs: 1. They're doing intense choreographies and that might mess up their singing. 2. Most of the parts they're lip syncing are high notes, if they do this everyday (considering they're having like almost a 100 shows per era) they might strain/damage their chords so it's a good save. 3. Their voice isn't always in shape. Most of the time if a singer doesn't get a complete rest their voice isn't good as their usual condition. 4. Lastly, they're only human. They aren't perfect to hit every single notes every night. So, i think it's quite reasonable for me. This is not a hate comment but just merely my opinion about them lip syncing.

I agree with most of these but not the ones where you said the mic was pulled away too soon, most of the mics can catch your voice even if you had it near your chest. And also when you said that you can't sing with mouth partly open, I think it's possible, especially if you searched you'd find some could sing a high note with the mouth partly open. I'm not trying to hate tho, I'm just stating an opinion.
Some singers can, the girls don't/can't. I didn't include it but you can find live versions of Jade and Leigh's notes and see the difference. The mic can catch your voice at your chest but the hitch is that for these clips the volume doesn't go along with it. The girls aren't perfectly adjusting their volume as they bring the mic away from their mouth (and in some cases bring it back close). And as just a fan, the girls very rarely sing live with the mic so far from their mouth. They as a group eat the mic more often than not so that they don't have to project as much. It's just how they sing, just like how other singers do sing with the mic at their chest.

I also think that those type of people or “fans” who don’t want to acknowledge the controversial and the uncomfortable of their faves are really losing out because faves (the girls included) aren’t perfect and should never be held to that standard. They are human, make mistakes, and are complex beings of whom we only see the better half of oftentimes and I feel that “fans” and “stans” who fail to admit that to themselves are doing a huge disservice to themselves and the faves they claim to love. I understand that they do sometimes because it barely happens. They give us bomb songs and performances. Do you know how hard breath control is? Its extremely difficult. Try dancing and singing at the SAME time. Of course they are gonna do it at times. Most celebrities do it. This doesn't mean they aren't talented because they are.

Their live performances balance out their sometimes lip synced performances. We all know they do them because of choreo or because they aren't able to sing the part/do the high note

If the belts sounded closed I'd agree. I included them because the sound of the belt didn't match how wide (and/or the shape) their mouth would have to be for that to be what it sounded like.
Perrie pulls the mic away a word early. She's supposed to sing "please don't play" and she pulls the mic right down to her hips at the very beginning of the word 'play'. She doesn't even mouth the word without the mic.
Ok dude, go give an hour + show doing dancing, singing, cheering, changing outfits and all that crazy thing this girls do. Oooohh and btw go watch EVERY SINGER performances from concerts and you'll see why lip sync is necessary in some parts.
Depends on the era and the girl. DNA was pretty live I believe, hard to tell for sure though cause there's very limited concert videos and the audio quality is typically not good. Salute was lipped more than not. Get Weird - a lot more was live but still lipping a significant amount. Glory Days was more of the same. Maybe less verses being lipped except Jade who lipped almost everything the last couple weeks of the UK leg cause of a throat infection. Perrie lipped more of her high notes than she did in GW. This last tour Jade and Leigh were the lip sync queens. Perrie got sick a week into tour and then took out almost all of her lipped vocals (excluding a couple belts) and started doing them live. Jesy lipped in 3 songs so she comes in right after Perrie with the minimal lipping.

Different vowels change the shape of your mouth. Rihanna is singing 'ha' so her mouth opens length wise and Leigh is singing "yeah" so it should open more width wise. Rihanna's mouth is still more open than Leigh's though. Also if you watch the video you linked for Leigh's A4 right after Rihanna, she's doing a similar vowel to hair and her mouth is much more open.

The part she let the audience sing is the only part of hers that's live. Breath sounds only mean that she's using a track that has breath in the recording. The girls don't usually use studio vocals when they lip. It's typically a pre-record. But also, studio vocals have breathing sounds.
I remember I went to see them on the DNA tour and one of the security guards working at the venue was friends with my mum. He said that he watched their soundcheck and saw them backstage and they hardly sang live at all.. I was heartbroken
I don't know what his definition of live is but they've never sung more things live than they did on that tour. They had a track that they sang to and the band played to. Maybe that's what he was referring to? Or was it the Salute tour in 2014? That's their most lipped tour to date.

I never knew why jade and Leigh would lip their tau verses most of the time. It’s not exactly vocally demanding.

No me importa que hagan playback en algunas partes, debe ser muy difícil estar todo un concierto bailando y cantando a la vez, en algún momento tendrán que coger aire y se entiende perfectamente que puedan hacer playback en notas altas porque tampoco es plan de que hagan un sobre esfuerzo con la garganta y para el siguiente concierto estén afonicas, pero hay algunas cosas que has puesto que no tienen sentido, para hacer algunas notas altas no hace falta abrir la boca al máximo lo sé porque yo canto y perfectamente se te puede escuchar cantar aunque tengas el micrófono separado de la boca porque en notas altas puede sonar hasta desagradable, eso es lo que siempre te enseñan si vas a cantar pero luego cada uno tiene su manera de hacerlo.

I understand that they do sometimes because it barely happens. They give us bomb songs and performances. Do you know how hard breath control is? Its extremely difficult. Try dancing and singing at the SAME time. Of course they are gonna do it at times. Most celebrities do it. This doesn't mean they aren't talented because they are.
we all know they do it on choruses(idk how to spell). like someone said on another video(ultimate fav mo of lm5t) i wish they would not lip some of the choruses and instead let the audience sing it. but yeah no hate i love them sm

lipsync or not it's a common thing for singers because many famous singers lipsync. all you need to know is Little Mix won the X Factor and became the first girl group to win the talent search event
Technically that was backup sound not lip sync but I'm glad if they lip sync sometimes

Their live performances balance out their sometimes lip synced performances. We all know they do them because of choreo or because they aren't able to sing the part/do the high note

i agree with most of these but some of the ones like when their mouths aren’t open enough doesn’t mean they’re lipping - it’s just a sign of poor technique
If the belts sounded closed I'd agree. I included them because the sound of the belt didn't match how wide (and/or the shape) their mouth would have to be for that to be what it sounded like.

Perrie pulls the mic away a word early. She's supposed to sing "please don't play" and she pulls the mic right down to her hips at the very beginning of the word 'play'. She doesn't even mouth the word without the mic.

Depends on the era and the girl. DNA was pretty live I believe, hard to tell for sure though cause there's very limited concert videos and the audio quality is typically not good. Salute was lipped more than not. Get Weird - a lot more was live but still lipping a significant amount. Glory Days was more of the same. Maybe less verses being lipped except Jade who lipped almost everything the last couple weeks of the UK leg cause of a throat infection. Perrie lipped more of her high notes than she did in GW. This last tour Jade and Leigh were the lip sync queens. Perrie got sick a week into tour and then took out almost all of her lipped vocals (excluding a couple belts) and started doing them live. Jesy lipped in 3 songs so she comes in right after Perrie with the minimal lipping.

0:20 seconds in Rihanna hits a high note live and her mouth is only partially open.
Different vowels change the shape of your mouth. Rihanna is singing 'ha' so her mouth opens length wise and Leigh is singing "yeah" so it should open more width wise. Rihanna's mouth is still more open than Leigh's though. Also if you watch the video you linked for Leigh's A4 right after Rihanna, she's doing a similar vowel to hair and her mouth is much more open.

The vocals are recorded before the actual performance. 0:46 that's why you can hear Jesy's voice even though she forgot to sing that part.

The part she let the audience sing is the only part of hers that's live. Breath sounds only mean that she's using a track that has breath in the recording. The girls don't usually use studio vocals when they lip. It's typically a pre-record. But also, studio vocals have breathing sounds.
I remember I went to see them on the DNA tour and one of the security guards working at the venue was friends with my mum. He said that he watched their soundcheck and saw them backstage and they hardly sang live at all.. I was heartbroken
I don't know what his definition of live is but they've never sung more things live than they did on that tour. They had a track that they sang to and the band played to. Maybe that's what he was referring to? Or was it the Salute tour in 2014? That's their most lipped tour to date.
