The hard part is unloading the drinks from the tray not loading them. This method is good, but still unloading is always the hard/risky part. Because each time you remove a glass center of gravity shifs slighty. Also each time you place it on the table you have to keep in mind your tray that's on your other hand. You still have to balance it while looking at the glass you are placing.
The way I see it there's 3 stages.
    1. Removing the glass from the tray.
    2. Slighty bending over to place a glass on the table while focusing balance of the tray in your other hand.
    3. Streightening your bent knees while still keeping balance of the tray. (Repeating from step one with each item).
To practice this I found it's good to start with couple of glasses filled with water and adding more bit by bit. Also first you should start with empity table and slowly add few plates to practise placing glasses in correct spots on filled table (this is really good if you work in places where tables are quite small or dishes are large (like pizzas)).
    P. S. If you have more drinks on the tray it gets way harder.

I used to put coconuts inside small bowls to keep them from falling over.
I would place my hand on the Martini glasses foot while walking with the tray. Hope this helps

The arrangement of the fingers demonstrated here only works for trays with a few glasses. If you gotta load it up, make sure to use your whole hand and forearm for stability. And I use the location of my palm / forearm underneath the tray as my center of gravity, not the center of the actual tray. Therefore, I usually place the first glass (the heaviest) in the back of the tray in a central position. And work my way up and outward; I agree about the lighter glasses arrayed around the heavier ones. LET’S BEAST!

I don't agree. It's personal preference. We're im from its considered more stable and better to hold it in the tips of your fingers, even with a lot of weight on it. The higher you hold your tray, the less taxing it gets on your wrist and more so on your shoulder. On my way back i carry 2 full trays of stacked empty glasses/plates, also using the tips of both my left and right hand.

@@tomaszantochow8391 Agree, Its a personal preference and all advanced waiters will have a unique style.
You are most probably a good waiter when describing your style and you get a lot done in a short amount of time.
But when teaching you just need to get them to start carrying the tray and the will develop their own style.
