- United States of America was the first country I travelled to back in 2014. On that trip and the many others that followed, I somehow always seem to experience quite a few culture shocks.
In this video, I talk about those culture shocks from the perspective of a Jamaican living in Germany. Many of them shouldn't really be culture shocks but having lived in Germany for so many years, I've forgotten a lot of things on the other side of the world.
What culture shocks have you heard about or experienced in America?

👋👍👍👍👍great video bro
I am a Jamaican who lived in Germany and now in Switzerland. It is different from Jamaica or America but I love all of my experiences good or bad.
All the experiences indeed make it unique and helps us to grow.
When I enter a German store and the costumer service asks me if they can help (and yes sometimes they do that in Germany as well), I feel like being disturbed because I want to take a look on my own.
Haha I can relate too! It kinda makes me feel pressured when they offer to help. 😃That happens in Germany for sure but in some American store they have someone standing at the door and their job is just to greet you and offer assistance. Now that’s next level haha.
How is it with homeless people in New York?
It seems to be a major problem there. Sometimes you’ll see people sleeping in the subway stations and on the streets.
You are giving americans bad ideas about the bathrooms.. they are like: you guys get paid?
Haha I really hope they don’t find out! 😂
