This new technique of gluing multiple pieces of plywood to create a curved support beam is something I have seen a couple times lately and is really cool.

We build odd staircases using this method when building scenery for theatre as well, except not normally with Pressure Treated Ply. I make sure to overlap seams as much as possible, to increase the strength of the stringers

Brilliant!!!! I am an old man, that likes building tree houses. I wanted to do a spiral staircase going around the tree, without actually touching the tree, or having to drive screws and anchors into it, or as few as possible. This method of doing each stair separately will be much easier for me, because the math was driving me insane! Beautiful job! Extremely impressed!

Nice work and creative construction methods from someone that's built an eclipse staircase. I differently like your construction method much better than mine, I fabricated the two sections (new split level home) upper and lower sections with a temporary frame from flat bar, angle iron, and a welder. Did the visible stringers very similar to what you did, laminated plywood glued and clamped, with the finish layer white oak veneer. The hidden center stringer was a steel fabricated welded curved beam. Never again, I spend 3 months on that project and was not happy with when finished, but my wife was thrilled or at least acted that way. Your way is very much better! I wish I would have seen your video first!
