Being a Bears fan was one of the worst decisions i ever made in my life. I had 32 teams to choose from. Unfortunately, I chose the one my father loved, and now he is probably laughing down on me rn. So much pain dealing with this team

Do the ravens need a middleback? Because that's the only team that highly values lesser valued positions. I mean they are a run first throw to tight second wr 3rd team that has a good safety duo and just drafted a center. The ravens still value the other positions very much. They have Marlon Humphrey for a reason. But man do the Ravens just have good players at weird positions lol. Heck they drafted a punter and they have justin tucker. The ravens are the team that values weird positions like that and gets the most out of them.

Honestly i was surprised he didnt come out with this sooner. I love the mans play and character and hope he stays on our team but his talent is worth top dollar and if they dont wanna pay it then he deserves a better situation
I've been thinking about it, and the Eagles would actually be a hell of a fit for him. They have the need, cash to pay him, and the capital to get him. He'd be an upgrade over TJ Edwards or Kyzir White (very good, underrated LBs, but IMO Roquan is an unquestioned top 10 LB).

The biggest problem is we don’t know what the offer was. So I will hold my mouth shut about whether this is good or bad.
I may be wrong but from an outsider it always seems like the Bears have major issues paying top players.

Lifelong Bears fan here who loves Roquan: He's asking for more than Darius Leonard and isn't as good statistically.
Roquan Smith: 61 games, 5 INT, 1 FF 14 SK, 524 TK, 43 TFL, 17 QB hits, 17 PD
Darius Leonard: 58 games, 11 INT, 17 FF, 15 SK, 538 TK, 30 TFL, 20 QB hits, 30 PD.
Roquan is also going into a new defensive scheme and the front office wants to see if he'll succeed. It feels like a franchise tag is coming, but we'll see. I'd be bummed if he was traded, but the Bears could maybe leverage it for more offensive weapons or picks.
Ryan poles stepped into the press conference for about 3 and 1/2 minutes and I thought the dude was going to cry. He needs to sign him or this is a bad way to start out as GM.
Just the way he talks… did you hear he mentioned there were “record-setting” aspects in the offer they made him… Roquan has ZERO leverage and Poles is playing the long-game. Ro HAS to play this year or he will lose TONS of money and long-term value as a player.

I too am a Macon County native... My family moved a county over when i was 6 so I could attend public school in a "much safer, cleaner, and better funded environment." I was educated in the Houston County School System, graduated from Perry High School and like Roguan attended the University of Georgia. I got to say Macon County produced a bad-ass legendary linebacker who stuff's the run and covers the whole field. Roquan you make me proud, keep on kicking ass dude, u are doin it right!

It's not surprising to see The Bears disrespect him with take it or leave it deals.
As a Bears fan, I remember how they sh!*tted on Brian Urlacher the same way.
It was disrespectful after everything Brian & those legendary defenses did for the team, despite having an EMBARRASSING lack of support at the QB spot.
I was already considering giving up on supporting the NFL because of CTE coverups and how all of the teams disrespect players
with non guaranteed contracts only to throw them away when it's done.
But years of horrible Bears management and seeing how the team treated Urlacher was a major reason why I don't watch the NFL anymore.
I had to ask myself- "how the heck can I claim to be a fan of some of these players who risk their lives and their quality of life,
while openly rooting for the organizations
that go out of their way to show them that they don't give af about those same players?"
Respect to Roquan. Hopefully he lands on his feet at a place that shows him the respect he's looking for.
I’m always astounded that storied franchises, like the Bears for instance, can royally screw things up so consistently. There’s probably great players that itching to play there but just won’t go because of how poorly they’re run.
