Roadfly.com - 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe Road Test & Review

- We finally had a chance to test drive the 2011 Cadillac CTS-V Coupe. The MSRP starts at $63K and even at that price you get a ton of bang for your buck. Not to mention all that horsepower. 0-60 MPH on the CTS-V Coupe is 3.9 seconds. The supercharged V8 produces 556 Horsepower.
Roadflys review of the CTS-V Coupe confirms that Cadillac is going head to head against the best the Germans have to offer. The Cadillac CTS-V by just about every test beats the Mercedes-Benz CLS 63 AMG and BMWs M5.

She has all the specifications I need
Jessi and the crew are DEDICATED! Not many car reviewers would have pressed on in the rain for this. She covered a lot of info in an easy way. Helpful feedback on the 2011. Worth noting: 2011s and up received a revised supercharger but were never recalibrated by GM or the SAE. They're rated at the same 556bhp but make closer to 600. We've dyno'd 500-505whp through the stock filter on the 2011-2012 CTS-Vs here in Texas. Solid car!
What a useful vid homie.. much love for sharing this.
Whatever the weather, Jessi always delivers.
great review Jessi how are doing? Are you feeling better and were can we see your latest work ?
Looks amazing. Great lines. I'd love to ride it. Oh yeah, the car's pretty sweet too.
Rain or shine the show must go on... Thanks for sharing this great car!
Jessi you do a great job, love your reviews!
So this is around the price of a GT-R but without 2 seats and slower? Does it have 2 extra seats in the back? I couldn't tell.
Sweet vid, im in love with both the car and you
These things are depreciating at an awesome rate. I looked at one last week in my area, a 2011 with only 16k miles for $43k. That's pretty ridiculously awesome.
So this is around the price of a GT-R but without 2 seats, a bigger engine, more horsepower but slower? Does it have 2 extra seats in the back? I couldn't tell.
This is the first car video ever in the rain lol.
Jessi is awesome!
great film, i love that caddy, but your right you have to get the stick. And doing the close in the rain was very funny it shows your a hard worker.
Happy V day a little late
I love the CTS-V. All new cadillacs look so good and the quality is like that of Audi,BMW and Mercedes.
wow. that was an excellent review!
Anyone paying attention to the car? I'm not.. she's too hot.
very nice review. i live in the DC area. I was actually wondering how this hold when we have those random blizzards and thunderstorms through out the area? I love this car.
That was an awesome review! That car seems like it is worth a test drive. I don't have a good local Cadillac dealer. I wish they would open one up close to my house.
This car's pretty impressive.
What happened to Roadfly TV? I use to watch you guys as a kid.
best looking car on the road today. Im getting one asap. Great job caddy.
I cant wait for this car Monday.. im getting the chance to drive it for a week...GM ROCKS
Great review guys! I hope you get Jessi to a track one of these days and get her laying down some real lap times! In car like this they both deserve to go play!
Im glad she mentioned the blind spots. I always wondered if those pillars were going to be a problem or not but no one ever talks about it. Probably the second most important thing I look for in a new car (1st being How fun is it to drive) would be visibility.
@roadflytv i love your reviews roadfly YOU ROCK
the engine on the 2009-present Cadillac CTS-V
Engine
6.2 L S/C LSA V8 (556 hp)
hey I can love to be with u tonight
if you take a step back at look at the specs, 556 HP is an absolutely mind blowing figure. i remember when 300 hp was nuts
Smart and pretty, great review Jessi.
I could listen to her all day. I came when she said "It's got a 2 liter supercharged V8 that produces 556 horsepower and 551 lb-ft of tourqe".
Wow. Beautiful. I love videos like this one.
I have the '12 M6 Coupe. It's been great. Not one trip to the dealer for repairs. Just back tires & oil changes.
Jesse you've got great reviews and legs.
I am a Cadillac Fan. Cadillac Company Management and Engineering team knows what their doing. Premium Luxury Brand and Re-knowned for Reliability.
Both are beautiful to look at!
You gotta love a girl who's not worried about being out in the rain to talk about cars
Wow! Muscle and elegance in an American coupe. Awesome.
This young lady has a very nice way of presenting her opinion of the vehicle. Professional and yet pleasantly friendly. Delightful.
As a rule of thumb a turbo charged engine is built with a low compression ratio to prevent detonation when the boost comes up. That hurts fuel economy. It would be interesting to learn what the engine without turbo boost is capable of. A higher compression ratio would allow better fuel mileage.
Hahahaha Nobody can pass up a chance to comment on how hot the commentator is. I find that quite entertaining. I love the CTS-V. Cadillac has actually successfully penetrated the euro oriented performance luxury market because they made a giant leap forward in interior quality, ride quality and have produced a car that outperforms European offerings in speed and luxury while undercutting them on price. It's amazing that GM has managed to keep the ancient pushrod layout even into the modern age.
GM has did a very becoming brilliant job on the CTS coupe Cadillac!!!
I never really liked Cadillac to begin with but this car flips the script entirley. I think the Rear of the CTS coupe was flawlessly executed, the front fascia obviously resembles the CTS sedan as they both share the same genetic code. I really like that this CTS coupe is priced like a G37 & 3 series coupe but with the space and size similar to that of a 6 series. The interior looks very upscale, the design as a whole is very pleasing and suprisingly not akward looking at any angle.Great coupe!
IROHINE, have you driven either the manual or the auto? What vehicle do you own that you feel is superior to this car? I drive an 09 auto and I've never driven a more exciting car (I picked this car over the M5, Audi RS6 and a few other high performance sedans. There was no car that gave the same thrill as the CTS-V and yes, I have the Auto. 0-60 in 3.7 seconds and 630HP with less than 2grand in mods. What do you drive?
I've seen some going for about high 40s used with a decent amount of miles. They are holding their resale value pretty strong. I'm hoping to see the ATS-V, and its pricing.
What a rebel, review rain or shine!
I wanna test drive both of them!!!
Definitively, that's a real dream car
nice I wonder what the 1/4 is?(and I thought the V'S only came with a 6 speed(I'm glade there's an auto there better for drag racing)
@roadflytv Hi Charlie. I haven't tried them myself but how about the Rosco LightPads? They are supposed to provide soft illumination fill, are a small flat size, low power and run on 12V DC! :-) Maybe 2 or 3 of the smallest ones strategically placed might do the trick?
filmtoolsDOTcom and bhphotovideoDOTcom etc have them.
Best of luck!
This car is amazing. i had a chance to test drive it, granted it was in downtown DC but i was still about to light up the tires through a few intersections. she is right about this car in every aspect.
was this shot down the George Washington Parkway in DC?
Jessi, I think you need some LED video lights, some of the interior shots where very dark (when you're driving)
Can i have review on the umbrella?
Dios mio Sera que algun Dia llegara a tener uno de eso solo para mi? noonon que Belleza de carro.
The ctsv has an option for blind spot detection. I have it on my 2012 ctsv coupe
nice ride
@bmwandcadillacftw I like luxury cars as well as enviormental ones. Just 12 miles per gallon is to far, right?
Gm outstanding design !
@KANATADOMPIZ Exactly, you put the plastic cover on top of a puny 4 cylinder engine, not a 5 liter v10 (or whatever)
Was this video taken in australia by any chance jessy?
@georgess01 Supposed to be M6. The new ATS is the M3 competitor.
dont know how many times i've watched this vid, but I'm done looking at the car. SHE IS ALL I'm looking at, and I never get tired of it!!! Jessi, You're wonderfull, beatifull, incredible, loveable, adorable....... I cant say enough....you're an angel! (still not enough) :). Will always enjoy your reviews! MUAH :)
It has a symbol on each of the side mirrors that light up and tell me if there's something blocking my blind spot. Not sure why yours doesn't.
@krackatony But what about the car?
So you let cts down right celeste
Where is she now?
@1aauto Wait there was a car in this video?
Does she come with it?
@gtrevino12 MPG and Horsepower is not linearly relative. Take a look at MPG of Corvettee, fiber-glass body (light weight) wtih low coefficient of drag(low air resistance) make it high mpg vehicle regardless to such high hp. 2010 7.0L 505hp Corvette Z06 makes 24mpg hwy.
@bswizzle967 How'd ya like it?
NO WAY! My favorouite reporter in my favorouite car. =D I'm getting a CTS-V in the future, with the LSA engine.
I'm a female & I love this car which I am debating to purchase. Its a rare form that it comes in an automatic & this particular model she is driving is an automatic. I've driven a v-coupe & the clutch is actually pretty stiff as opposed to my current BMW 545I. The handling when you are hitting a curve to me is not as nice as a beemer but shifting through the gears is smooth, has a better displacement but overall handling is not like a beemer. So speed, some luxury features & price is A+!
on a serious note though, another review I saw said the dated transmission was the only thing holding the car back
as i watch this video this song started playing in my head The Isley Brothers-Who's That lady
@CrooklynKing85
i agree even thought the actual rivals are the m5 and e63 which are $25k+
There is a car in this video?
I took it on a roadtest, sooo nice but honestly they start out at 37,000. The supercharged version shown is 63,000
Oh snap! 556 HP, 6.2 L Supercharged motor? Love the car, love the girl, I would like one of each please. Thanks
very cool. love your presentation. I love american engines and cadillac coupes are for men/women of class.
@isaiaspena1121 pretty sure you're thinkin about the 4 door that competes with those cars u listed.
@The300ZXGuru you are right I got 32MPG in a 1990ZR1 driving from Manhatten to Binghamton N.Y. on interstate 84 and that is quite hilly but city mileage will suffer a lot from a blower because at idol you are turning the blower so every light and stop sucks double gas
did she go over 30Km/h?
@MWARDEM they're based off of the same platform so actually he is pretty much right. it's a 5/6 series, E class competitor at an M3 pricepoint.
I wonder what's the horse power on her?
@dentonbrowne because it fits in the glove box in a cts-v
first car-presentation-video EVER ... with rain!
Love the coupes look and driving position but the mpg sucks as I live in the uk
i like how she actually gets exited about cars, some other reviewers seem apathetic.
This car is the mother of all luxury! To me its such a good deal compared to the competition. Love the platform gms a had with the 6.2 supercharged between this the zr1 and the zl1. All ranking top of my list for dream cars
@SamZe85 lol this is very tru,,,speacially the e92 convertable
I soooooooooooooooooo miss you Jessie!!!!
@Ninjahinfany 70k actually.
Good review! (finally a decent review about anything). Uh...70k for a decent to good cadillac? Hmm. Good car...problem is if spending 70k...don't think I'd go with this. 30k less than an M5...I'll take the older M5 model over the new.
Nice styling on the CTSV coup. The gas mileage is terrible though. Good review Jessie.
she sounds so happy at the end.
I WANT THIS CAR
How much is it????????????
I cant quite put a finger on her accent... It's somehwere in between british n american. Any idea??
Jessi, youre getting thumbs up because they recognize you.
@xBaitMyScenex this is a car that you have to see in person,i saw one for the first time up close not to long ago and it was amazing
It gets around the Nurburgring in less than 8 minutes if you're a professional driver. I took a CTS-V and a Corvette on test drives, with the traction control on and when I attempted to drive erratically the cars slipped and sled all over the road. Both cars got to 120 miles per hour real quick, but it wasn't smooth like in an AMG. The CTS-V is a cheap plastic car, you'll buy one new and after a year you'll want to get rid of it. Do you even have any idea what you're talking about?
Hope she is well 👍🏽
C cup ?
Wow!!!damn!!!!now I need some lotion.😉
